Pros +
- Friendly, intimate and great location.
- Cozy small hotel with warm staff and extremely welcoming and allowed an early check-in. Breakfast had a good variety and they would cook eggs to order. Attic room was so charming and bright. Fantastic location walking distant to all attractions within 5 min.
- Great location, close to the centre. Very friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, lots of choices
Cons -
- Parking is cheap, but a little way from the hotel, dragging suitcases across cobbles can be tough, especially especially for anyone with mobility issues
- Nothing!
- There was a mosquito in the room, so I advise closing the windows at night, but then I was a little too hot. There was an air conditioner, but we didn't use it for fear of being too cold. Can't please everyone...Parking was on the street as expected, although free after 6pm and on Sundays. We parked around the corner where it's 2 Euros for the whole day.

Very friendly staff gave us a warm welcome. The accommodation was perfect for our needs and the location is fantastic. Breakfast was great with a good variety to choose from.
Perfect location; easy, short walk to all the visitor sites in the town. Clean, comfortable, quiet building. Well-maintained. Very nice staff who really want their guests to enjoy themselves. Breakfast was excellent; best coffee I’ve had in two weeks! I would definitely stay there again.
Nothing!
Pretty much everything was brilliant. Friendly and helpful staff/owners, cleanliness, breakfast, location location location, room was super quiet and very dark at night. Character of the building. 'Boutique' nature of the hotel. Lovely coffee and hot chocolate for kids. Shoe shiner! Where do you see one of those these days? Easy short walk to restaurants, the Cloth Hall, Menin Gate. Super convenient, and yet super quiet.

It is very close to the centre of Ypres. It has a certain type of charm being an older building, which also means that there are no elevators. It is run by very nice and helpful people.
Nothing negative to say. The owners were helpful with regard to storing a rented bike and Blossom gave helpful information about a local trip I needed to take.
Very nice location, decent breakfast and street parking for motorcycle no problem
Location, breakfast, friendly staff
Hotel Ambrosia is in Ypres (pronounced I-pers) city centre, walking distance to the main street, the restaurants, cathedral, Menin Gate and In Flanders Fields Museum. Being Canadian, my main reason for travelling to Ypres was to visit the site where John McCrae wrote his famous poem, "In Flanders Fields." My son and I were able to rent a bike a block or so from the hotel and ride to Essex Farm Cemetery along the canal. The owner of Hotel Ambrosia gave us the bike rental recommendation and answered any historical or regional questions we were curious about in the area. It was evident he loves the hospitality industry and enjoys sharing his knowledge of the area with the guests. Hotel Ambrosia is quiet, quaint, clean, warm and inviting. Our room was perfect for our stay and the morning breakfast, including the venue, was delightful!
The location was excellent and close to the Grote Markt and restaurants and the Menin Gate. Very clean and staff were very friendly. Breakfast had a great selection. Would recommend this hotel.
Would be nice to have fridge in room for keeping drinks cold etc. but nothing really not to like about hotel otherwise
Clean, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast
Warm, friendly and welcoming, the personal touch is everywhere in Vincent and Iwona's Ambrosia. Incredibly helpful text messages re local sights and parking. An unexpected and very good cooked breakfast included in a very good value room rate. Just round the corner from everything there is to see in Ypres, but very quiet at night.

Amazing location, incredibly friendly staff, so clean and modern. Would stay again.
Hostess was just wonderful and obliging, helpful. Nothing too much trouble
Room was compact
After a hot breakfast, owner was willing to provide a yummy sack lunch for us (for a small charge) when checking out.
Vincent was a superb host. A genuinely nice guy who cares about his guests.
Size was tight but I knew that when I booked.
