Hotel Balmoral Dinard

Finding the hotel was difficult: lots of streets with one way traffic. The hotel was in a very urban area: no parking as expected.....Fortunately there was a public underground carpark not too far: extra expense we did not expect.

No hot water to serve in the room. The guy refused to give me hot water because i didn’t order breakfast. Unbelievable!!

Lovely clean, comfortable room which was absolutely perfect for the price I paid. Right in the heart of the town within easy walking distance of the beaches and headland, with shops and restaurants on the doorstep. The owner was very helpful and recommended some restaurants.

I paid for the cheapest room so didn't expect a good view - I looked over roofs at the back of the hotel but didn't like the dead pigeon trapped in a net!

Location is good, easy walk in to the centre and to the beach. Staff were extremely friendly and kind.

This hotel is under refurbishment so there is building work going on around the rooms. Ceilings are coming away in parts and there are plastic sheets up covering areas that have been knocked down or pulled apart. The rooms are very tired and sad. My expectations weren't that high as it was relatively cheap and last minute, and the pictures show it's not fancy. That said it's all really dated and old. Pillows had stains on them towels were old and worn. It's definitely ready for an update. As we were just saying for a night and keen to explore Dinard, we had just left our bags and gone out. On returning to the room around 10pm we found it was like absolutely roasting having had the sun on it all day. Having tried to get the aircon working (it had a service light flashing on the control) I went to reception to see if they could help or if they had a different room with working aircon. Turns out that despite having in room controls the aircon has been centrally set by the owners and therefore you can't adjust it. A cost saving measure no doubt and nothing the staff could do. They were very apologetic and nice but sadly nothing they could do. So, either have windows wide open and be unable to shut the curtains or shut the curtains and sleep in a sweaty box of a room. Not much of a choice.I honestly get so tired of hotels like this that really don't give a toss about customer experience. They are in a good location so no doubt pick up plenty of business so they don't have to care. Such a shame, we loved Dinard, it's a great town and we will return but never to the Hotel Balmoral.

Bedroom very small. Unnecessary toiletries, comb, shoe, shine and sewing kit. No shampoo conditioner, body lotion

A good choice of cereals, cold meats, cheese, fruit.,croissants etc.

There is some modernisation work going on, so the lift was a little untidy.

Nothing despite the hotel being redecorated. You hardly noticed any noise at all.

Hotel was clean and people were very friendly. Comfortable bed. The location was amazing! Super cute street with shops and nice places to eat. Also close to the beach.

Breakfast could have been better. They kept running out of bread and there were no fresh fruits.

Great location! I walked to Chateau Bizy. The staff was helpful and friendly. The mattress was outstanding!

Breakfast was not included? The WiFi in my room was very weak.The carpet was stained as you entered and along side the bed.

Beautiful Hotel with authentic atmosphere.Close to everything : tourist sights, beach, restaurants, supermarkets.Breakfast : Very tasty, and super coffee.Much respect for the Staff: Top what they achieve.Bicycle was No problem to store.

We expected a room with a balcony.Privilege room was with a balcony.When we arrived we were told that we had a privilege room because it had a large bath!I prefer showers, but standing up in the bath was a bit slippery and it moved.
