Ibis Budget Rambouillet

It was clean and they kindly stored our bicycle.

It’s in an odd location and not very easy to get to. Restaurants are a bit far away.

Great location for a stop off when travelling. Was close to Paris so we caught the train to go into Paris for dinner.

No air conditioning

The staff was so friendly... The location was calm... Close to a bus station... Love the new system of having code for rooms instead of plastic cards...

A little bit far from down town... Need to put more choices of items in the vending machine at hotel...

Exactly what you would expect from an Ibis Budget. Staff were very helpful to us during our stay. Didn't try to walk to town but there is a very good bar on the industrial estate which was an unexpected bonus.

I accidentally booked the wrong Ibis hotel, but the hotel has everything you need for a simple ⁹overnight stay. The staff was friendly, especially the big black man who welcomed me at breakfast and who made me feel that dogs are really welcome. The breakfast and the shower were nice.

The bed was far too hard for my taste. The hotel is next to the N10, so the traffic noise prevented me from opening the window, even though the room was quite hot (the is no airco)

A very uncomfortable bed (thin mattress and noisy at every move), we woke up several time during the night.

Could have been cleaner. Duvet was dirty when I stripped off the bedding when we left.

Night porter was superb, helped me as I arrived very late. So friendly, I recommend this hotel.

It's only a short bus ride into the centre of Rambouillet (including the train station: Gare SNCF) or you can walk it in 35 minutes. It's quite a pleasant walk after the first 5 minutes which you spend navigating through the commercial/industrial area.The advantage of the above area is that restaurants, a huge supermarket and a large McDonald's are just a few minutes' walk from the hotel if you need them.The breakfast was ok (although no gluten-free options: maybe you need to tell them in advance).Cédric was the only staff member I met and he is VERY helpful.It makes such a big difference when hotels have pleasant and considerate staff who "go the extra mile".Thank-you again, Cédric!

I was very disappointed in the bed. I mean, it's the most important thing in a hotel!Not only because it's a mattress on top of a plank of wood rather than slats or divan (box-spring) style (i.e BED style!!) [Apparently that's "normal" in their Budget hotels but it's not normal anywhere else].But what was WORSE is that the mattress was noisy because it had no support and was well-worn.I know I could have got dressed and gone downstairs to complain in the middle of the night (I hadn't "tried it out" on arrival) but that's just not practical.The very LEAST one should expect is a comfortable bed (even cheap hostels in many countries provide that) so I feel a bit ripped-off in that regard.Ibis has a reputation to uphold and they should be keen that their paying customers enjoy a decent sleep and don't wake up with back ache. Seriously. I would have given a 9 score if the bed had been half decent.

Perfect position for our travels. Breakfast was excellent didn’t expect such a choice and good quality items 10/10. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Everywhere was very clean.

I felt what we paid was overpriced for the type of room we had. Also where the hotel was we struggled to find somewhere for a meal without having to drive

The member of staff on the night desk was brilliant, really helpful.The room was ample in size and well laid out with a separate bathroom of a decent size.It was nice and clean.

(Room 8) The bed was "rickety," and you felt inclined to sleep in one position because of the noise it made when you moved! The shower door was rusty and in need of replacement. You couldn't open the window as (from what I could see) it had no locking mechanism, and we were on the ground floor, so felt unsafe to have the window open.
