    Pros +

    • The property and its location is excellent. You literally walk to the Aegean sea with expansive views of the island.
    • Everything is amazing, but mostly the lagoons, lounges and restaurants!
    • The hotel is absolutely stunning. Beautiful Architecture and design. Very relaxing.

    Cons -

    • You pay a ridiculous amount of money to stay at a luxury hotel just to find out you need to pay extra for many things such as beverages on every meal no matter what your meal plan is. 2 fresh lemonades cost as high as 2 glasses of wine. This information is very confusing when you initially book the hotel and when arriving no one explains this to you- you have to find out. The staff are accommodating but everything feels stressed and stern. We had our flight take off earlier than expected and could not have breakfast. We were only given food boxes for the children that contained very poor food inside. We left with a feeling of very cheap place that has very poor value for your money. There’s just enough someone should pay for a nice view.
    • When we stayed the hotel was fully booked, it was hard to get a space at the pool and beach. Less sandbed.
    • Nothing!

Beautifully located on tranquil beach, the pool, the vibe, the staff, the service, just all fabulous!

    Nothing!

Cool design, friendly and helpful staff

F&B quality is not as expected. Very family oriented (lots of kids running around), not good for couples.

I loved everything about my stay here. Incredibly beautiful clean resort with beautiful private beach. Food & drinks were phenomenal at their restaurants and buffet (we got half board). Staff were kind & assistive. It was our honeymoon and they decorated our room and gave us wine. In addition to the food & views - I got a spa package and it was excellent. I can’t say enough good comments about this resort, my husband and I will be visiting again & will be bringing family back here. They exceeded our expectations by far. Out of our 2 week trip - this was our favorite place we stayed in Crete

Nothing it was absolutely perfect. Can’t wait to visit again.

Beautiful property. The staff was very accommodating. Loved the location. The pool and grounds were beautiful. I would stay here again.

We booked a superior sea room however we received a partial sea view.

    7XuanPosted on: 4-29-2025

Architecture. Location - can see both Sunset and sunrise.

Clean level of the swim pool in the private garden: dirty hairs from next door floated over. Also bugs in the water.

    8MariaPosted on: 4-28-2025

the stuff was very polite and helpful. the room was clean and most of the furnitures new.

the room they gave us was not the one we booked and paid. They tried to give us a bangalow in the garden and when we refused they gave us a room with partly view to the sea, although our reservation was for sea view and was more expensive. The food was not bad but not exelent, they could ad some local products (like cheese)

From the moment we arrived, we felt an exceptional welcome thanks to the amazing team, especially Katerina and Christa, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. The hotel itself is stunning, with a perfect mix of luxury and Greek charm, but what truly made the difference was the positive energy, professionalism, and kindness from every staff member — from the managers to the massage therapists and even the housekeeping ladies who kept everything spotless. We have stayed in many luxury hotels around the world, but the service at Amirandes is simply beyond normal standards. Special thanks to Katerina for the way she manages the hotel with such high energy and care, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. Christa, it was also a pleasure meeting you — your kindness and attention to detail made us feel so special.Thank you all for making this trip unforgettable!

Honestly, nothing at all. Everything was absolutely perfect!

Very good and very charming house keeping. Thank you! Nice atmosphere in general. Friendly kids club.

The rooms are 3*** standard and should be renovated. Lunch and dinner underwhelming, pricing here is completely out of ratio.

It’s a superb resort - amazing views, professional staff and very attentive to all of the guests’ requests.

It’s not that we didn’t like it but keep in mind that the resort is rather isolated - so you’ll need a car/cab to visit anything outside of the hotel.

Staff was very nice and made sure to make our experience unique ! Room very comfortable and breakfast very good as well!

    Spa could be more elaborated!

Fraudulent Operations over Christmas - NO help from Booking.com

Resort description on Booking.com sais 2 pools, 10 restaurants and bars, as well as a kids club. During my reservation as well as my stay, there was no information on closed facilities on Booking.com (or the hotel website). However, during our stay over Christmas and New Years, the resort was 90% closed down, renovation ongoing. There was 1 of 10 restaurants open for breakfast and dinner only. No breakfast buffet, but the same very limited a la carte breakfast every single day, and a very small a la carte menu for dinner. There was no restaurant open for lunch and nothing except for 2 basic sandwiches in the bar and the room service for lunch/during the day. This was especailly bad since I was travelling alone with children, had planned an expensive 5 star resort vacation for that very reason, and everything else in the area was closed for winter as well. We had to drive to Heraclion (30 minute one way by car) just to get lunch every single day. We felt cheated by the missing information on Booking.com and a special Christmas advertising on the hotel website, both giving the impression of regular hotel operations during Christmas/New Years. Paying on Booking.com before arrival made an Early Departure with partly refund impossible as the hotel found lots of (in my impression made up) excuses why only Booking.com could return my money. Booking.com customer service did not react on my messages until after our regular return home, and has done nothing for us to get money back since!

Amenities, beach access, cleanliness, welcoming staff.

Pools were a bit cold and too deep for kids. Life jackets easy to access for kids are a must. There was an event with loud music outside our room while we were trying to sleep.

Very nice surprise upon our arrival with an upgrade to a villa. A bottle of rose and a delicious cake was sent to celebrate our anniversary . Very nice touch. Food was good but we were spoiled staying at the sister property White Palace which has an amazing selection on their buffet. Convenient location to airport .

More assistance with trying to get a heater for the pool.

We had a really nice stay at this hotel! The staff truly made our experience memorable, especially the hotel manager, who was always available and quick to assist us with any issues. Their kindness and attentiveness were evident across all areas—from the reception to the restaurants and breakfast. We couldn’t get a late check out because the property was fully booked but we were invited for a lunch on our last day! We found it really nice and attentive, we were so glad about it. The property itself is beautifully maintained, and we loved the wide variety of delicious options at breakfast each morning. The beach was a highlight, with its soft sand and clear water, making it the perfect spot to relax. Overall, we had an amazing time. We would recommend the hotel more for families because there really are a lot of children around and there are no adults only parts. We also got a little goodbye present with olive oil and honey from Crete, it was so kind! The activities in the hotel are simply amazing! We took part in a 2h pottery class with a local potter, we loved it so much. They offer really cool stuff, such as yoga, cooking class, vegetable planting etc. We had a great time in the spa (golden body treatment) and Ioana had magic hands! My skin was so soft and all the tension went away after the massage.

We stayed in room 151, and unfortunately, it was quite noisy due to the connecting door and activity in the hallway. We often heard loud children, buggies, leaf blowing and housekeeping early in the morning (6AM). The bed was smaller than expected, and the hotel is very family-oriented, which might not suit couples seeking relaxation (it was clear to us before, we just didn’t think it was going to be really so many children). Additionally, there weren't enough sunbeds available on the beach, and it seemed like villa guests had access to nicer sunbeds that we weren't informed about before. The restaurants were a bit pricey, and we found both our private pool and the main pool to be too cold for swimming.

Amazing property, from the staff, location, restaurants, food, property architecture, beech, pool & all amenities, the secludedness was one of the best stays in Crete.

    Everything

Great location, beautiful architecture and gardens, comfortable, superb service, attention to minute details/requests

Because of the expansion of the property , I suggest to add maps of the hotel’s various locations, such as shops, restaurants, villas, etc. And support the map by outside signs.
