Sunset Beach Hotel

Arrived late from the airport. The young man who checked us in was super helpful. Room had a sea view (not that it mattered!); the bar was open, the night sea views were great, and the friendly kitten that house as we had a beer was a bonus.

Views on the beach. Comfortable bed.

Mid food. No water included during dinner.

We travelled with our 17 and 19 year old kids and were only there for one night so it is hard to write a thorough review. We had a very long travel day and just wanted something near the airport for a night once we arrived on Crete. The breakfast was very yummy and the room clean with an excellent view. We swam in the morning before we left for Chania and the water was wavy and perfect. It was very easy to catch the bus from this location into the center of Heraklion. The bus was super close to the property.

Bed was okay and view from room was good.

No beachfront. No reception in the afternoon so you needed to go to the bar area if you had a need.

The staff are very helpful and cheerful and go out of their way to accommodate your requests

The hotel is in a cliff above the beach and beach chairs are on the cliff. You can go down the steps directly into the water but no sand which is far away. The food is bad and very less options. It's a very basic facility. Not worth the money I paid

very nicely furnished room with a view of the pool and the sea! There is no beach directly in front of the hotel, but you can still get into the sea via stairs! the breakfast was good and the staff friendly!

Amazing beach right in front of the hotel. Warm water, beautiful view, plains above your head. Liked it a lot!

We waited for someone from stuff to check us in for about half an hour. Room design is pour. View from the room - main city road. Very crowded and small outdoor pool.

The view from the window was incredible! We could watch the sun set into the sea from our balcony! The breakfast was not very diverse, but everything was fresh and tasty.

The hotel beach is a little sad, it is almost non-existent, but if you walk a little to the side, there is a beautiful beach near taverns and other hotels with umbrellas and sunbeds.

Dinner and breakfast Buffet with only cheap products. Not really healthy food options.Room was not really attractive and with bad smell. Has seen its best times already. Good for one night as stop over from airport.

My flight was at 3 am and when I tried to call the numbers listed no one respond. No indications on where should I leave the key anything

It is small very familiar hotel on the beach. The staffs were highly helpful and friendly. Our room has opened onto the dining terrace and swimming pool area. It was little bit strange first, but we loves it because we feel that, the all terrace and the sea behind it is ours. The public transport is very simple, the bus stop is 100m from the hotel. You can buy ticket on the bus and 25 minutes later you will be in the center of Heraklion. If you like to go further you can rent a car in the hotel, so it is simple too. The breakfast and the dinner, was tasty and we loved the snacks, ice creams and coctails in the pool bar.

They upgraded us to a larger room. It was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The pool and beach chairs were nice.

There was a sandy beach the width of the hotel where you could swim. But it was only 15 or so feet from the water to the wall up to hotel. But still nice for swimming and sending

The staff was exceptionally considerate, the breakfasts were large and varied, and the dinners were gourmet in a buffet setting. The beach was gorgeous.

We wanted something near the airport for an early flight, so for that it was perfect, with a city bus stop nearby that went direct to the airport.

Poor quality breakfast. Taxi arranged by reception was 2x the standard price. Despite cancelling, the car still arrived and demanded payment, which resulted in a quite stressful situation at 5a.m. NEVER arrange anything through reception.

The location was relatively good, and it was easy to park out the front. There was a beautiful view from our balcony.

The run-off water from the air conditioning systems just went onto the balcony with a tube, so the balcony was constantly covered in a little see of water. It was super annoying, especially with small children who ended up being constantly wet. The floor was not clean when we arrived. Shower doors and shower head were broken. Beds were probably the most uncomfortable I’ve ever come across. While the dinner was halfway is okay, the breakfast was terrible. I would only recommend this place if you are on a super tight budget and are not gonna be spending much time at the hotel.

The view from the balcony was lovely.

The air conditioning water ran off onto the balcony, in both of the rooms that we booked. Meant that you could not really enjoy time on the balcony, because floor was constantly wet. The longer the air conditioning was on the bigger the puddle of water grew. Showerhead didn’t work properly, and it wasn’t super clean. Dinner was okay, but breakfast was terrible.
