CORALLI BEACH HOTEL

The manager was very friendly and welcoming - the best! The room had plenty of windows for a wonderful breeze, and the balcony with drying rack was great. There are restaurants next door to the hotel, and small beaches are super close.

The shower was so small I couldn?t quite master it without getting water all over.

The owner  is a very nice person, making you feel welcome. Location is great and breakfast was excellent. I can recommend this hotel

I would categorise this as an excellent two star hotel. I fail to understand why it has a four star rating (again, the owner, location and breakfast are great). A second AC unit would be recommended (the room with twin beds was missing one)

The friendly staff and clean rooms were much appreciated, and the breakfast had a lot of variety and was delicious.

Not a negative, but we'd suggest bringing some tea or instant coffee if you want to use the hot pot and mugs provided.

The breakfast offered a classic European-style buffet with a wide variety of choices, including some sweet options. The hotel is located right by the sea, with only a road separating it from the coastline. The sandy beach is divided by rocky breakwaters, with part of it organized with umbrellas and sunbeds for guests’ comfort.

Excellent stay – we’ll definitely come back! Rooms were very nice the hotel was in an excellent location and the staff extremely helpful. Very good breakfast with a huge variety of delicious food.

I'll start with the owners of the place—they were extremely kind and attentive at all times. Especially the owner, who was very committed to us throughout our stay! The hotel is fantastic considering the price and The breakfast surpassed my expectations. We came here for our honeymoon, and while you shouldn't expect a jacuzzi, if you're the type who loves having breakfast by the beach, listening to the sound of the waves as you sleep, and mainly using the hotel for sleeping since you'll spend most of your time at the beach or exploring nearby cities, this place is perfect for you!Now, regarding the location, you have endless kilometers of beach. The hotel is right on the shoreline, just 20 minutes away by bus from the city of Heraklion, which I found to be ideal.Lastly, the neighborhood is very friendly; locals always greet you and try to communicate with you, regardless of the language.I fell in love with the district of Gournes and will always return to Coralli Hotel whenever I have the chance!

The bathroom could do with a makeover

It‘s been our second time at the hotel and will definitely not be the last time. During our last stay we noticed some positive improvements e.g. new sunbeds, pool towels and a kettle in the room. They are constantly working on the property which is great to see that they really care about the comfort. The rooms are more on the basic side but they give you plenty of space which you will not see in other hotels. The breakfast buffet has many different options like: fruits, cereals, orange- and peach juice, coffee, hot chocolate, cheese, ham, everything for a greek salad, pastries, eggs in different forms, bacon, nuggets, fries and savory pastries. You will get a 1,5L water bottle each morning for breakfast, from the really sweet woman who works the breakfast shift. The owners are so very kind and nice, they will always help you with problems or questions. The Woman was so happy to see us again when we checked in which made us feel so welcoming. Her husband gives everyone who is new to the hotel a buffet tour and always greats you when you see him during the day. The cleaning staff does a great job, they will come everyday and give you a change of new towels and change the sheets every two days. The property is right in the approach path of the airport, which could be a little loud for some people. The bus station is not far from the hotel and the bus takes about 25min to Heraklion. There is many things close buy (max 15min walk) car rental, supermarkets, restaurants, souvenir shops, hair salon, nail salon and even the aquarium. We had a really great time and will definitely be back next year.

The bathrooms are outdated but seeing they are constantly working on bits and pieces they will eventually change that to.

To be honest everything! The team in Coralli feels like a family! Always so smiley and friendly thank you so much Maria and your team for your hospitality. The hotel itself is very stylish, our room was spacious, the cleaning lady was lovely too, towels were changed every single day and good cleaning, the beachfront is literally in front of you!! Breakfast was always fresh and hot! they provided towels for the beach too which not all the hotels do in Greece. Free parking on site. Few restaurants nearby, good food. We really really enjoyed our stay! The price was very good too! Thank you !!

I guess just the noise from airplanes but that not the hotels fault. Also the shower was leaking a bit.

Great vacation! The staff is great, our room was very big and clean, they cleaned it every day. The breakfast was very tasty. Many thanks to the administration for our great vacation.

Everything was perfect - the location, the room, the beach, the breakfast, and especially the owners.

The staff was really friendly and helpful with any information you'd require.They even helped us with renting a car. The price was lower than what we would have paid at the airport car rental companies.The breakfast was good. It had 3 type of eggs, bacon, chicken nuggets, some pizza, sausages, 3 types of ham and salami, cheese, salads, cereals, some deserts including pancakes and fruits (melon, peach, pears). Plus the orange/peach juice and coffees. In the night there are mosquitoes but they have provided mosquito repellant in both rooms. The main room (we've had the family duplex) has an AC, but we've just slept with the window open. In the evening there are a lot of planes landing as the whole area is on the landing path, but the noise is not that big, and if you enjoy the AC at night, then with windows closed you should not hear any noise.The hotel is very close to the beach, and there are very good taverns just outside (Ambrosia Tavern was our favorite), including a mini market 100m away.They have a small swimming pool (1,4m deep) and several sunbeds that can be used during the day.

The room could have been a little more clean, and every two days, the floors should be washed. They usually empty the trash bins and probably swipe with a broom.

The staff were very friendly. Not sure about the location as arrived and left in the dark.

The property is rated as a 4 star hotel, but the room we had was more like a hostel room. We had to put the top sheet on ourselves, sheets were dirty and the bathroom old and bath tub filthy. Should have realised that it was too cheap for a four star, but thought it may be a last minute deal.

The breakfast is wonderful. There are so many different kinds of food, almond milk , chocolate milk, yogurt with nuts, pancakes is special and delicious. The hotel opposite is sea .Fantastic view and great hotel.

The pillow is so soft, but the waiter change another hard pillow as soon as possible.

Needs a bit of TLC: AstroTurf had weeds, paint peeling, no lamps in main room for single beds which made it seem v stark
