Dimitris Rooms

Before arriving we messaged Dimitri several times but never received an answer. After calling on the phone we managed to speak and understood how to reach the accommodation (from the harbour there is only one bus daily and we had to rent a car, as the taxi was even more expensive). Once we arrived Dimitri could not be found and a nice guy called Mohammed welcomed us, but could not speak much or give any advice. The biggest problem we had is that there was no drinkable water in the room and no supermarket available nearby as the port is 45 mins away by car. If Dimitri would have told us, we would have bought some water and breakfast at the port. Finally we experienced a blackout for one day and two nights and Dimitri did not make any effort to try and ease our stay or give us some candles or water for the shower (it did not work without electricity). Finally the sea (200 meters away) view is not from your room as you can only see it from a long access corridor and the room is very small without much confort for the price we paid.

No welcome from our host, no drinkable water, no problem solving or at least some way to facilitate things during the black out.

Lovely friendly family run rooms Beach amazing

The room was very clean and it had everything you could need. The terrace was nice and the place was so close to the beach! The only disadvantage was that we got to Manganari late in the evening and our ride to Dimitri’s rooms was very expensive. Maybe they should have warned us about that, we could have planned our arrival in a more functional way: we could have stayed one more night with the same amount of money we spent for the taxi ride. Aside from that, we can’t wait to get back to Managari, the most amazing place on the island. Definitely the number one bay in Ios.

Location is perfect for access to beach Manganari and Antony's Restaurant. Rooms are perfectly clean, quite large and well equipped. The family how own the place are very friendly and eager to help. The place is quite secluded and far from main city of iOS island, so there is no other option for shopping or eating. But this is an advantage if you're looking for peaceful time, relaxation and great experience on one of the beautiful beaches in the world.

Maybe breakfast and a beach place ( chairs and umbrellas)included in room price will be a great improvement.

Fantastic position, right in front to the Manganari beach. The beach is not crowded, the water is crystal clear. The rooms are cleaned daily. Taverna offers traditional Greek specialities for a good price. The owners are welcoming, nice people. The place is calm and quiet, very relaxing!

The wind is often blowing pretty strongly, so when it's very windy, go to the rocky beach which is on the right heading towards the sea.

Wi-Fi works even on the beach - the location a few meters from one of Ios most beautiful beaches

Really distance from Chora - not Market on-side ( 25km ) need car for safety - dangerus road in night !

It is close to the sea. It is a quiet location. The beach was very nice.

Some of the facilities were a bit run down. The door made a noise (like a squealing bagpipe) when the wind was blowing outside (almost always). The window blindes were partly broken, had to use a chair from the outside to keep them shut. The 3 restaurants in the area were mediocre at best. I advise choosing the apartment option when you can do some of your own cooking or driving 20-30 minutes to the city to find a proper restaurant. The kitchenette was not very well equipped.

i think they should include in the description of the property that the nearest stores are by the port so people can prepare.

Amazing, very peaceful location, ideal for rest, beautiful beach, perfectly clean room and the most importat - family atmosphere, lovely owners and staff. Moreover, the really delicious food in local restaurant. I'm really happy that I found this place and hope to come back.

The location was great, the staff were wonderful, and the bed was comfortable. The shower was great and with good pressure, toiletries were provided and plenty of towels.
