- Villa Melina has many rooms of all kinds spread over the entire area of the building and around the pool. The villa itself is very beautiful. And the price is reasonable for what you get.But it is far from the center and you have to walk a little on the slope to the center and back uphill. We liked the old building and we also liked the outdated room, although it has apparently undergone renovation, it still looks outdated with the balcony being very small and therefore difficult to sit there, due to the outside of the air conditioner which is very hot. They also have a good and quite large pool. With lounge chair we enjoy their a lot. But At breakfast, there was never all the things on the buffet table, there was always something missing,And there were not enough seats to eat, when the owner's arguments are not good and not reasonable like you came in between to change and add food, or I prepared food for 60 people but a few people took and took food endlessly and there was no food left for others. These things indicate of a serious problem with the organizationand maintenance of this place, the villa is not well maintained. The garden is not maintained, not clean, not decorated, everything in the villa is outdated, there is no one who seriously takes care of how the villa looks, they treat only the current problems and those that arise, it is a shame since they have a gem of a villa that could be beautiful with the right care, and I believe that the customers will also agree to pay more for that

- The AC unit took some time (several minutes) to cool the (big) room.

Took the "Deluxe" room. Breakfast was small but good. The staff members were great. The room was big and comfy.
The AC unit took some time (several minutes) to cool the (big) room.
We loved how quiet and tranquil the hotel was right in the middle of Pothia. It was a good location, not far from the center but felt away. All of the staff was very attentive and friendly.
Beautiful hotel in Kalymnos! The swimmIng pool area is so nice and relaxing . Breakfast was delicious . The family who run this hotel are really nice amd kind . Highly recommend Melina Hotel . Locations is great too !
Everything eat Great
This family run hotel is excellent. The staff first class. We were in the joint terrace rooms numbers 1 & 2. Terrace is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the views over Kalymnos.
Charming building, good location, nice breakfast, good wifi.
The staff! The history! The pool!
Great room , very good breakfast and lots of quiet areas to sit including round the pool .The room cleaning was done daily to high standard and we noticed many of the guests were regulars ! Kalymnos had some lovely areas to visit out from the port and some hidden gems .Great value for money !
Poor parking for cars near hotel and difficult to drive round Pothia area but this is not hotels fault .
Breakfast good small selection of hot food, continental selection plus yoghurt etcPool area good, 5 minute walk to harbour, 10 minute walk to the harbour beach, 10 more over the hill to other beaches.
Lovely traditional property in a quiet location, but only a few minutes walk from the port area. Excellent swimming pool and a good buffet breakfast. We would happily stay there again.
Nothing to dislike!
Beautiful building - like a time warp. Great pool, great breakfast.
Everything was as expected. Lovely old villa with character and good breakfast. Pool area a bonus
Beautiful setting, peaceful, relaxing. Great breakfasts.
Infrequent bus service
The Villa is a beautiful old building and has lovely gardens. Our room in the villa had a lot of character with a fireplace and beautiful windows. The position in town was an easy walk to port where there lots of restaurants and cafes and also the bus service. Breakfast was included and the cakes were delicious!
Our room was cleaned but there were areas of the property including the pool that were untidy. I imagine it would be difficult and expensive to keep an older house in top order.
The size of the room, we chose a family room as it had cooking facilities, it was spacious with a beautiful private terrace overlooking the pool. The room and all facilities were spotless. The breakfast was home cooked and delicious.
- Charming villa - Lush garden - Peaceful atmosphere - Inviting pool - Delicious homemade breakfast - Polite, helpful staff - Felt like home - Will return
The best Family Hotel i have ever stay. The owner of the hotel and his sun and the all the other workers of the Hotel was so friendly and helpfull. Just feel like at home.Very old and nostalgic Building and athmospere.Delicious and fresh breakfast.Very big comfortable and clean rooms with a terrace with pool view. Location is amazing close to everywhere (Market, Port, Restaurant) .Highly recommended to everyone who are traveling with or without children.
Extremely good value for money. Beautiful scenery. Charming main building. Swimming pool excellent for 2 star hotel. Very good breakfast.
Towels were not properly laundered...a number of stains clearly visible; and general cleanliness of room a bit disappointing.
