The location and the view are great!

The bedroom is "old". The swimming pool water was cold with an environment air in the swimming pool really hot. The price doesn't fit the room quality.

This was the first hotel for our group that was walking the "Camino de Santiago". Very helpful front desk staff (holding luggage, etc). The jacuzzi was very awesome! The group had an excellent meal at the restaurant.

The rooms were fine, just a bit outdated. The bed was very firm. Also, we didn't realize it was approximately 3 miles from the Camino path, so added to the journey.

no spa or juccuss had a late lunch no one was in the place yet the staff ignored us and moved furniture the whole time (it was like nails on a chalkboard) we left instead of having dessert not that they offered

The location (specially the room view), the staff, the space of the room and breakfast quality.

The hotel furniture is outdated and worn out, the bed is not very comfortable. The hotel needs a refurbishment to continue to be competitive.

Awful and un comfortable bed was my biggest problem. This is because I simply Cannot sleep on a Memory Foam Matress. It just causes massive over heating for me. Lovely big window to slide open but the Carcophony of local Dogs meant it was impossible to sleep with the noise tooI actually tried sleeping on the hard floor for a while to try and get some sleep.Had I Known it was Memory foam i would not have booked.Very little sleep which puts a crimp on your stay.

Lovely hotel to rest after long walk from Porto. V friendly and helpful staff and swimming pool and hot tub just the thing for tired feet. Great breakfast. Would have loved to stay longer

The staff was good

Everything pretty much, the room had mold, curtains had mold, no towels until after second day, the patio outside was filled with water because a drain clogged and they didn't check until the end of the second day.

The requirement for swim caps?. A little ridiculous. We book hotels all around Spain and this is the only place requiring that. The pool is nice, but the hottub is cold. Same situation as last year. Should we stay again next year? Not sure.

every was (near) perfect, the restaurant one of the best I've ever visited, with a relaxing atmosphere, nice friendly staff, and foremost: delicious food. Facilities superb, except a disfunction in the gym.

the only negative point was that the control panel of the elliptical bike (also called 'cross trainer') in the gym didn't work. I had notified Reception on Sunday when I arrived, but on Friday, when I left, it still had not been fixed.

The spa was nice. We were disappointed to have to pay 10 euros each for a swimming hat, and that it was consider an exceptionally good treatment to give us access to a locker for free.

The care of the hotel in general is lower that what we usually see in 3 or 4 star hotels. Part of the personal is unfriendly and incompetent. For example I asked to order a cab for the airport 4hours before, it was confirmed and then nothing when it was the time for it to arrive since it was not ordered, they lied first and then spent more energy to find which of the employee messed up than they try to solve the problem or take responsibility. They also did not clean the room for 2 nights.

I was in this hotel a few times ago in the past and always like it, nice architecture, good location, fantastic services like swimming pool, spa, restaurant and a good room with a breakfast included, I will back next time visit Vila do Conde.

Excelent view to the river

We chose this hotel to stay the night after our Wedding because it was really close to where it took place. After a 60km trip it would be really nice to get dressed there before the ceremony. We could never imagine it wouldn't be possible to check-in 1 hour before the scheduled time, when we booked the non refundable option. The answer to our request was a straight "no". We know we were asking for a favour, but something like "We will try" or any attempt to find a solution would make all the difference to us. Fortunately we found another place to do that. So if you appreciate sympathy and flexibility this is not the place.

The comfort of the room and calm ambiance of the hotel.

Unfortunately at 9:20am a rock band was practicing in a ballroom on my floor which made sleeping in impossible.

The quietness of the hotel and the views were lovely. The spa was exceptionally good. Perfect breakfast everything you wanted.
