Hotel Beppu Pastoral

The hotel employee was great, the room was spacious and it even offered us free entrance to Rakutenchi!!! I like my stay here, and their free breakfast was just icing on the cake

You need a reservation to dine at their dinning hall... which was something I was not aware of and I ended up ordering UberEats...

Free breakfast, which was decent and appreciated, and the location, which is right next to a beautiful waterfall and river

The room felt old and poorly maintained. There were visible stains on the carpet and furniture, and there was an old, musky odor that made the space feel even less clean. There also weren’t enough outlets to charge multiple devices, and no large towels were provided, which was inconvenient.

Really nice classic hotel with good communications to some of the main attractions in Beppu. There is a outdoor bath and a quiet neighbourhood all-in-all

The staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful. My 15 month got a yukata. Loved the iced cold and hot water for consumption in the room. The room face the Beppu bay.

Beautiful baths. Much better than the sites photos. Lounge chairs by the outside bath made it really relaxing.

Very nice place. Easy access. The room was very confortable with a nice view on the canal and mountains.

The location next to the river is super nice. Some rooms have sea view. They offer buffet for breakfast. The onsen was wonderful. I can highly recommend this hotel. I loved it and didn't want to leave. Thanks for the fantastic time

Breakfast was just ok, while the hotel was quite expensive.

The staff were nice and the onsen was great.

My room has multiple large stains in the carpet, the bathroom shower nozzle would not stay straight and was dirty as was the shower curtain. I was also only provided with a small face towel sized towel instead of a bath towel in the bathroom. The shower was also super narrow (even by Japanese standards. Overall, the room just felt like a dirty college dorm room, the view out of the window was also bad and the location was very inconvenient. Would not recommend. It was not particularly cheap either.

We like the room, the Hot Spring and lots of space to park in the car park right in front of the hotel. Breakfast variety is also good. We added a dinner meal which comes as a set and food is delicious and well presented with great service from the staff. Overall the experience in this hotel is great. In our trip, we stayed in 4 different location and Beppu Pastorol Hotel gave my whole family of 4 the best experience.

One small consideration would be if the breakfast time can be longer than just 2 hours given. Perhaps to consider Breakfast time to stretch a little later to 10am.

I was warmly greeted, shown to my room. facilities explained clearly, breakfast had a wide range of options.

The hotel itself is dated, I imagine in its lifetime it was a popular spot. More of a business hotel.

It's a family friendly hotel.

Very helpful and friendly staff. They helpfully stored my bicycle for me when I wasn't using it.
