Well laid out room, great breakfast spread, superb staff

I like the Onsen despite very crowded most of the time. Great Breakfast and bigger room with town view. Free welcome drink everyday.

Very clean facility, excellent breakfast with lots of local Beppu cuisine. Soft bed, nice onsen bath.

City is quite dead. Definitely the hey-day of Beppu has passed.

modern, clean, and professionally managed. roof top pool is very nice and a hot tub. breakfast is wonderful and included. the onsen is also quite nice. the only draw back is too many little kids running around in the pool and onsen. making those who are serious about the onsen experience less relaxing. very close to train station. location is wonderful.

Breakfast was the best in all the hotels we have stayed at, excellent choices of breakfast options, room was just nice for a family of 4.Beds are comfortable for my liking!

Super convenient location that is a 5 min walk from Beppu train station. Room was surprisingly spacious (good for 2 people) and water pressure in the showers was absolutely amazing. Check in and Check out was quick and staff spoke good English.

Water in the public baths are slightly chlorinated so it’s not a 100% pure onsen but enjoyed it nonetheless. Wish it had a cold bath and sauna tho.

Wonderful stay. We enjoyed the priviledged location near everything. We walked with our luggage from the station. Enjoyed the pool, the gym the breakfast!

I like everything about this hotel: location, facilities, onsen, pool, breakfast, staff. One of the best hotel in Japan.

The room was cramped and crammed. Problem with many Japanese hotels is they don’t have rooms with just one bed even when it’s a single occupant. I didn’t need the second bed but I did need the space which I didn’t get. I also didn’t appreciate that when I wake up in the middle of the night the lights in the hallway and the toilet switched on which makes it’s difficult to go back to sleep. One last thing. Breakfast stop 10am is way too early.

A very lovely hotel in a fantastic location, just a 5 min walk from the train station, and a few mins walk from plenty of restaurants and the best ice-cream shop in Japan! Some of the staff are kinda clueless, but they will promptly escalate to more knowledgeable colleagues, and everyone there is eager to help, very friendly and kind.The hotel has a classy atmosphere, which is always fun, and plenty of facilities such as a gym, sauna, pool etc (most of which you can't use if you have visible tattoos).The breakfast buffet is balanced somewhere in the middle between Japanese and Western, and we felt we had enough options to choose from, but as others have stated - it gets kinda crowded which can be a little unpleasant, but not a big deal.The pool temperature was a little low for us which was a shame (we visited in mid December and it's an outdoors pool) but we really enjoyed the rooftop jacuzzi after sundown, it has a magical view and the water was nice and steamy.The room itself was just great! Although there isn't really any space to open suitcases and there isn't a closet, it didn't feel crammed, and there's a small sofa, which is cute.We were on the 10th floor and the view from the giant window was just lovely! The curtains provide 100% shade so you can sleep in :)We loved the shower!! one of the best we've had in Japan :)Overall a fantastic hotel.

Tattoos aren't allowed in the sauna, pool, jacuzzi and baths.No daily room cleaning (only every other day).

onsen is nice, breakfast is excellent.

Check-in experience was not pleasant and friendly , we didn't really feel welcomed by the check-in front desk staff.

The heated rooftop pool, jacuzzi, and sauna were AMAZING! What a beautiful view of the city from an infinity pool. The baths were very well maintained and were great after a long day of travel.

The women's bath was much busier than the men's, but nothing you can do about that.

Here is probably the first place where I've felt like I've tasted "the good stuff". The hotel's facilities are fantastic and I highly recommend spending a few hours on the roof - either in the pool, sauna or jacuzzi. Each room has a tablet which allows you to check on if these facilities are crowded or not, too, so you can take a look before venturing up. I highly recommend purchasing a stay *with* breakfast, as the buffet is fantastic and offers a fairly large collection of various international foods, but is expensive to purchase separately. Staff were an absolute gem with all of our issues from storing bags, helping me with a washing machine and everything else we threw at them. We fully intend to visit this chain's other hotels.Location is a bit of a walk from nearest subway station, but still manageable. Close bus stops allow for easy travel around Beppu.

Everything about this place was exactly what I would expect from a resort rather than a hotel. The facilities and decor were all sleek, and the whole place was exceptionally well maintained and cared for, and the staff were all kind and attentive to the utmost, not to mention all of those we spoke to were perfectly fluent in English. The onsen hours were at reasonable times, the pool was available even in early winter which was wonderful, and the provided breakfast was a veritable smorgasbord of options.

I would have liked a little more clarity around swimsuit requirements for the sauna, as I didn't know until I arrived that swimsuits were required to enter. I had thought wearing a towel would be acceptable.
