My stay was too short!

Nice rooms and onsen.

The service completely ruined my stay. They only have small pillows, which is common for Japanese hotels. I have back pain issues and asked for two extra pillows, since there was only one in my bed. To my surprise, they refused to give me two more pillows and said they could only give me one. I insisted and explained, and they still said no.This is not a budget hotel, I don't get why they would refuse to lend a guest two extra pillows. This has never happened to me in any other hotel in Japan. I had two terrible sleep nights because of that.

Nice, great onsen & nice view good location!

There was a female staff at the reception who helped us a lot during our stay. She helped us to communicate with our car rental company (who was very dismissive towards foreigners). Thanks to her, we were able to solve our problem effectively.

Public bath view was outstanding!!

Room next door smoked on the balcony. Little amenities in the room.

Great Facilities, Sea view hotel room and Onsen look over the sea. ❤️❤️❤️ highly recommend. Hotel is not so far from the city. Only 5 mins drive and convenient location.

Come for the views, but stay for the breakfasts. Wonderful facilities. The indoor/outdoor onsen at the top of the building is amazing. The rooms are very spacious and well-appointed. Friendly helpful staff? Naturally, it's Japan.

Hotel is very clean, cozy and good location. Staff is friendly and helpful. But what i love the most is food, both breakfast and dinner is fabulous.

We booked full board in a standard twin room, sea view. The breakfasts and dinners were both exceptional. Superb public bath on the top floor.

The Hotel has a massive foyer, but all guests have to remove their shoes at the entrance. There is only ONE stool to sit on while removing or putting your footwear on. There needs to be a lot more space provided and multiple chairs.

Dinner is better than enough, main dishes with buffet, excellent! This is the second time I stayed in Rex Hotel beppu. I came back because of good experience. Every single room with balcony and seaview. Staffs are great and helpful.

Overall there is nothing I do not like. The only disappointed was I could not reserve the main dish with beef. And I do not eat fish. ?

Good Breakfast .clean room.

At Onsen space I met a family with 2years girl cry out loud about half and hour but her mom still use hair dryer and chit chat with her friend. ? Check out at 10 am ?

Plenty of parking, great view from the room, and nice sized room. There’s also a wonderful view from the restaurant during breakfast. There is also a public Onsen in the hotel. Unfortunately, we couldn’t use it because we got into the hotel quite late. Service staff were really friendly.

Checkout was quite early at 10am. Also, they do not use Yamato luggage service where you can send your luggage to your next destination in Japan. Also, I was surprised to have to pay an Onsen fee when checking in (although it wasn’t too expensive).
