Chiflika Family Hotel

We arrived late and we were still offered food service! The staff went the extra mile to arrange a table for us and made us feel super welcome. Thank you! Also, the hotel has an amazing location - 20 mins from Plovdiv city centre, with amazing views of the valley. Priceless.

It would be lovely to have a kettle, cups and coffee / tea in the room :)

The room was very spacious and newly renovated, we stayed in a studio apartment. 2/3 days the food was excellent. The swimming pool was big and clean. There weren’t any restrictions so overall it felt relaxing

The management is quite poor. The service is bad, waiters are quite lazy and moody. Nobody cleaned our room for 4 days, not even the towels were changed and quite frankly is very difficult to even find someone to complain to. The hotel facilities are so good that such a poor management is a shame…

What a great family run hotel. Our apartment for 4 was big, clean and had all the amenities you need, just bring shampoo with you. We booked here for the pool and let me tell you it did not disappoint. It had a shallow side for toddlers and a deeper end for the older kids and adults. There was a great little pool side bar for when you get thirsty.Breakfast came with 5 options to pick from and we were very satisfied, left with our bellies full.I will be coming back here next time I am near Asenovgrad, 10/10!

I wish we could have stayed longer ?

The room was clean and tidy with clean balcony. We could take the rest of our food from the restaurant, so we could finish it later. The pool was clean with good t° of the water.

Part of the food was not that good. Most of the staff in the restaurant were slow and grumpy. They didn't know about the breakfast, about the lunch. There was one waiter thou who totaly knew what he was doing, so we were trying to sit in his area. The food is too expensive, the beach bar - expencive, slow work - again. No hair-dryer in the room of a hotel with a pool is unbelievable. There were no outside shower , just to wash of the chlorine, which was poured in it pool in the morning right before people start to get in the water.

The size of the room and the cleanliness.

There was a graduation party going on in the hotel's restaurant. We couldn't sleep because of the extremely loud music until 1 am. The staff didn't help with this at all. The hotel is situated at a very loud street. We rudnt have access to the restaurant again because of the fraduation party. The pool was empty. No coffee included in the breakfast.

The bulb in the bathroom was not working

Rooms and restaurant were with a view. Great design. Staff was very friendly and tried to resolve an issue I had with late arrival.

There were sings of wear off, minor things. Hygiene was not 10 but still high enough.

Lovely stay very helpful, nice restaurant ever thin we got there too late. An offer of a simple sandwich would have helped but not a big deal. It is quite out of the way of everything but lovely building.

It was very cold and only a single duvet on the double bed. Luckily they're was another single in the cupboard so we put that across to fill the gaps.No tea or coffee making facilities in the room but there was a small fridge.

Words are superfluous, the hotel is wonderful, do not hesitate if you are wondering where to stay in Asenovgrad. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant, swimming pool and staff that will make you feel at home.

The location is beautiful and up out of the busy city. the view is spectacular. The balconies and pool are fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful. the beds were comfortable and the AC was nice on the hot summer days.

The towels were stained and they could not change them out for a clean one. He said there were no extra ones.

The studio we were staying in was good size.

the service was pretty bad. No one cleaned our rooms during our three days stay. even when asked to remove the trash, that wasn’t done and we had to ask for rubbish bags and replace them ourselves, leaving the full ones in front of the room. The “breakfast” was terrible with lowest grade food ingredients possible and undercooked. Coffee is not included in the breakfast. To top it up, at our last breakfast, we brought some croissants from the supermarket for our kids to eat as the kids started complaining from stomach aches, we we told off that food cannot be brought from outside… just terrible, I do not recommend!

The staff would bring dinner from the restaurant to the room, which was nice and comfortable. The breakfast was good.

The hotel is family owned and the owners behave as they are in their living room. They were having dinner in the restaurant with their kids and were smoking and Talking loud until late at night. This was a problem, because the rooms were not noise isolated. I could hear everything in the upper floor. Also the hotel was almost empty but some guests were crashing doors at night and you could really hear everything from the rooms in the floor. I barely slept the two nights I was there.

Out of Asenovgrad center, great view, nice house, comfortable room for a family. Good pool. Delicious food.

The typical Bulgarian 'hospitality': no smile, no welcome, no escort to your room. In the restaurant the best tables are reserved for the owner and his friends. We asked for limonade, we did not get, while the owner's friends had some. Foreign tourists are not valued.
