    Pros +

    • Very clean room. Excellent breakfast! Amazing staff.Good location.
    • The dinning room staff was the best -Antonella, Giuseppe and Michele were always attentive and accommodating. They were always upbeat and friendly. They all were the best part of our stay at Hotel Valle Rosa.
    • Clean, inexpensive and friendly

    Cons -

    • The shower was very small
    • The staff were very nice
    • - hard beds, and room was outdated. AC was really cold, tried to increase temperature, but I don’t think the monitor was working. Bed sheets were really thin, to were it was so uncomfortable and cold to sleep at during the night, I had to check out the next day and go to another near by hotel in Foggia. - The bus stop arriving to San Giovanni from Foggia, drops you near the sanctuary, which is about 12- 15 mins to the hotel. The negative about walking to this hotel is that there is this very steep hill downwards to get to this hotel. It was challenging for me bc I had my elderly mother in her late 70s that had trouble walking down this steep hill plus we had heavy luggage. At night time, there is no lighting in this dark hill so it can be a bit scary, so to avoid the hill, we had to walk around town on main streets only and that was about an extra mile of walking just to get to the hotel. - location of hotel is in the middle of the San Pio Sanctuary and the downtown area, so walking to either sides can take you about 15 mins to either downtown/ or the sanctuary.

    - staff : There was a young man with glasses at the reception desk that was fluent in English, really nice, and helpful in providing me bus information and recommendations. They also stored my luggage after check out for the day while I toured the area. - the bus stop that takes only to Foggia, Saint Michael and the local bus that takes you in front of the sanctuary is about a 3 min walk from the hotel. ( however fyi the stop that drops you from Foggia is on another street about 10-15 min walk up a hill, north and south bound bus stops to and from Foggia are not on the same street, different streets).- decent WiFi connection. - there is a lift/elevator.

Very clean. Located halfway between downtown and the sanctuary so 15 minutes walk either direction. Superbe staff very welcoming and very courteous and helpful. Thank you

The bed is somewhat comfi but for a night or 2 it’s ok. Big bathroom but tiny shower and shower and body gel in very small envelopes really not enough.

Location was ideal; the staff were so kind and friendly; smiled all the time and immediately helpful when needed…the best on our trip!!!

Heard water running down the wall continually from 5 am…large pilgrim group arrived after our first night and they got up early to shower etc

Myself and my wife stayed for 2 nights at this property, the local bus from Foggia stopped about a 3 minute walk up a hill or down a hill to the property whichever way you arrive to the hotel. It was a very comfortable, clean and very modern hotel. The staff were so attentive and helpful. We would highly recommend the hotel and would stay here again for definite. The church that holds Padre Pio is nearby and also is walking distance.

    Poor

This hotel is not 4* more 2* I ask for two rooms with balcony and the owner told me a window is a balcony in italian is( Balcone ) is a window not an outdoor balcony Terrazza is an outdoor balcony. The first lift I went into got stuck and don't let me start on the breakfast BAD

This was an absolutely lovely property. It was very easy to get around from this location too. The breakfast was wonderful with many hot dishes including eggs, toast, cakes, muffins, fruit, yogurt, juice, and wonderful coffee. The dining room staff went above and beyond to be helpful. They were very welcoming and so friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast there so much that we also had dinner there as well. The food was excellent. I would definitely choose to stay at this property again!!

Very nice comfortable hotel with very friendly staff and great breakfast, location was good for visiting particular places.

only the location, is an 4 star hotel, but very old not renewed. So at moment this hotel should be 2 stars and no 4 anymore.

They don't have rooms with 3 single beds. Old hotel, small toilet. Everything is old.

Everything about the hotel was great, lovely food, great location rooms and all areas spotless. This is our 2nd stay at Valle Rossa and would go back again. Staff friendly and very helpful

Everything was to our liking. Nothing to dislike

    8RobertPosted on: 6-22-2024

The hotel was a good value for the money. The room was clean, and the breakfast was good and offered a nice variety of choices. Having free parking was a very nice feature and there wasn't a problem finding a parking space. The staff for the most part was very nice and helpful. The bed was relatively comfortable, and I enjoyed a decent night's sleep.

The air conditioning was not very good. It worked, but it struggled to cool the room. The location of the hotel was good but walking to the shrine would be a real challenge for anyone up in age or with a mobility problem due to the very steep streets. We opted to drive which proved to be a much better choice, especially since we were able to find on-street parking.

Location and the buffet breakfast selection wasgood.

The hair dryer was not a true hair dryer. It was a hose that was attached to a pump that just blew out air, not enough heat & power to dry anything. I have included a photo of the hair dryer. Also, the hotel did not have an iron or ironing board on site to borrow. The garage was closed, so cars had to be parked on the street. It doesn't look as though the garage is ever open. No one assisted me with my bags upon arrival or departure. I had to carry them up & down the front entrance stairs.

Very clean, good food and service.

It’s a little warm in the room. Maybe our air conditioner wasn’t working properly. Opening the glass doors helped a lot

    Location.

Breakfast was very sparse; noisy rooms (snoring, talking, TV heard from neighbours and corridor). Flush from toilet was adventure (needed to be pumped several times). Shower was questionable. TV didnt work, room far too hot (aircon turned off altho it was 27 degrees outside). Not worth the 4 stars, more 2.
