Hotel Villa Carlotta

Mediocre but quality didn’t match price.

Restaurant was mediocre at best. Some staff were pretty off putting or not helpful. Others were great. Just inconsistent overall and didn’t rise to the price.

Beautiful building. Our room had a great view and was very close to town. The top floor breakfast room had amazing views.

Pillows were not so great but we always bring our own.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and tastefully decorated. The breakfast room in the rooftop bar area had a wonderful and nice vibe.

Although we had a junior suite the rooms were not spacious. The room was divided into 3 sections. The bedroom itself was very small, the door to the terrace could not be opened properly without hitting the bed. It was also a dark room with insufficient lighting in the other rooms. Although the breakfast buffet offered a large variety of choices, freshly squeezed orange juice or certain egg dishes were offered only at an additional cost. This at a leading luxury hotel at a very steep price for one night!

price is terribly expensive for what clients getthe breakfast is poor and rooms are confortable but nothing really amazing

Extremely attentive staff. Incredible views from a fabulous location. Although only steps from the activities in Taormina, our terrace was so quiet and peaceful with only the sounds of songbirds and nature. I considered foregoing the rest of my Sicily tour and staying there! However, our suite was not available for me to do that. ?

In summary this hotel is not worth the money! We were disappointed with the hotel overall, I wrote to the hotel to notify them we were celebrating our honeymoon however there was no acknowledgement at any point during our 6 night stay.. there were some details that should be covered as basis within a good service, for example replacing the water every day, however we were told we would only get two bottles at arrival then we would have to pay (ironically if you book one night at the time you could get water at arrival!)We booked a room with a terrace, which was very generous in size however the room itself was very dark.. also the bed was very hard. We did not complain about this as didn't want to compromise on the terrace. Personally prefer brighter rooms or spaces. The pool and garden areas are nice but the gym is very very small.Our stay was pleasant, staff was attentive, the breakfast was very good.. and the location of the hotel was very convenient but these are basics for the amount paid so definitely would not stay here again it was definitely not worth 675 Euros per night (including taxes). Also if you book with Booking at least you get the airport transfer for free which the hotel does not offer and can arrange at a higher fee than the standard.

Evetything was perfect

The staff at the hotel was amazing. So helpful. Helped arrange tours etc. the breakfast was delicious. The location is great. The decor very nice and the hotel is spotless. We had a great time.

Great location! Away from the bustling centro, so quiet and peaceful, but easy walk to the action. Staff is excellent; friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Luigi is special

The property is central but quiet & secluded- perfect location.

An extra bath/shower would have been welcome

All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Location was good. Easy to walk into Taormina. We had two excellent dinners in the lovely rooftop restaurant. Breakfast also very good with lots of choice. We liked the location of our garden suite with easy access to the garden and pool with a nice terrace and outdoor seating.

The bedroom and bathroom of our garden suite 22 were nice but the living area was very dark, tired looking and felt very depressing with an old sofa and inadequate lighting. Luckily we could open the windows during the day to bring in some light. Would recommend putting in some more lighting to brighten up the room and maybe time to change that old sofa! The bathroom also was windowless and didn’t seem to have a fan.

Good location efficient and friendly staff

Overcharge for eggs - 5 euros per egg and an astonishing 15 euros for some avocado !!!! Starters and mains 35 plus per plate - too much for what they serve

The room, the bed , the pillows, the pool, the breakfast (including the incomparable view), the staff and the location (a bit removed from the crowds).

There isn’t anything to complain about.

The location and size of the property. The style, architecture. It’s just beautiful villa situated in the center of Taormina but cause well fenced letting dwellers staying intimate and comfortable.

I would say, the villa needs being a bit refreshed. For instance some showers didn’t work, some sockets or some lightings didn’t work. Nothing critical but in such price should have been fixed. Quite noisy evenings due the loud music from the restaurant in the direct neighborhood. The music were stopping long after midnight.

Beautiful hotel that is so well located in Taormina with very good facilities such as a really nice pool and a lovely top floor restaurant. The staff were very attentive without being in your way. Rooms were very well appointed and comfortable too

Really nothing as it was very special. As a minor gripe the sitcom could have been a bit cooler but it wasn’t bad

villa Carlotta is a beautiful property. It is all we could have wished for. The location is also wonderful, just a few minutes walk away from the madness of Taormina.

The Villa Carlotta was exceptional. We went there on holiday and loved every bit of our stay. The pool is brilliant and the view is amazing. The restaurant was also brilliant!

Loved villa Carlotta's apartment. All the service of a great hotel, all the space of self catering. Amazing views over the bay. Pretty pool and garden. Large and comfortable beds. Quiet but still pretty central in beautiful Taormina. Great find
