Excellent view and food. There is an elevator which many old Italian hotels do not have. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful and accommodating.

Great location, easy walk to main part of town, bus stop and air tram down to beach. Breakfast and happy hour were both fantastic! Antonella at front desk was very helpful in arranging reservations for dinner and transportation for us. Mario took care of us as well during happy hour and breakfast.

Had a wonderful stay at La Pensione Svizzera in Taormina! This lovely hotel is perfectly located, and the staff were absolutely fabulous. Their warmth and hospitality made our stay truly unforgettable. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great experience in Taormina! ??

Family owned hotel with history, staffs are friendly, helpful and pleasant , excellent location , hotel is in city but not inside city center so you can escape noises and have nice view of sea and surrounding

Stairs !!need to carry your suitcase from street level to hotel for check in but is way of life all over Italy

It was high on the hill overlooking the ocean and islands. The staff were very accommodating for holding my luggage and fulfilled my request for a view room which was lovely!

The front desk was wonderful booking cabs & side trips for us!

Would have liked more help getting luggage up and down stairs.

There are many excellent qualities about La Pensione Svizzera. 1) The view of the bay from my room was spectacular. 2) The staff were excellent and very helpful. 3) The buffet breakfast offered many delicious options.

The room was quite small. There is an elevator but it does not stop at any floor except the ground floor. Instead it stops between floors and one must walk either up or down stairs to get to one's room. Also, there is no elevator from the street down to the lobby, so one must haul one's luggage up and down the stairs when checking in or out. If staff are available, they are more than willing to help.

The location is excellent! The staff was so helpful and friendly especially Mario. Everyone was so nice to us. Breakfast spread was great.

Beautiful views and very friendly staff, especially Mario. Very cute cat on site. Great patio with lots of seating options to hang out with our larger group. Were able to accommodate a last minute request for a friend that joined the trip late.

The shower was very tiny.

Nice hotel, great price and slightly off the touristy city but an easy walk to everything we wanted to see. Fun patio, clean room, lovely helpful staff. Happy hour in the garden. Would go back again.

There are several staircases that are awkward when pulling luggage around to your room. Carry on is fine, but heavier would be very difficult. There is a small elevator that helps.

Great location. Great views. Great staff. Great place to hang out for happy hour and breakfast. Antonella was very welcoming and very helpful with booking anything we needed from dinner reservations to excursions! Mario was so friendly and extremely helpful, we really enjoyed talking with him during happy hour, he was wonderful ! The entire staff was great.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. We loved the location, which was convenient to the beach and the sights without being amidst the crowds. The building and grounds are lovely, the outdoor areas inviting, and the breakfasts were delicious. On top of that, the staff were great--friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely stay again the next time we visit Taormina.

It is a little on the pricey side but overall worth it.

The location

We did not have one good night sleep! People talking loudly, slamming doors and leaving early in the morning dragging (not lifting) suitcase down the stairs! Two nights we had to bang the walls to quieten the neighbours! The bed was uncomfortable as well! And the decor is just random. Breakfast was awful. You are in Italy and you serve pastry (from a roll out tube??) baked off in the oven! No lovely fresh pastry. One time we arrived at 9.10 and no bacon or eggs left! The guys in the breakfast room not the friendliest bunch. We sat at the table for 15 minutes and still no one asked for coffee etc. We had skipped breakfast few times and went to the lovely cafes nearby. We also left earlier as we were not impressed. On a positive note, the cleaning ladies did a marvellous job!
