- Our room was amazing. We had a wraparound balcony with whirlpool tub overlooking looking the Mediterranean. Breathtaking views. When checking in we shared that we were celebrating our anniversary. They brought us champagne on the house.Breakfast while the same each day, was really yummy. Especially the omelette station. Just a short walk to some of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. Train station is across the st. All of Calella is with Ia 20 minute walk.We didn't get the chance to enjoy the pool, but it looked nice. We were thrilled with our stay here and if ever in the region again would be looking to book room 506 once again.
- Clean room, good location, pleasant staff.
- Good breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Great View
Cons -
- The AC wasn't particularly strong. It got a bit warm at times. Breakfast was really good, but it would've been an added bonus if the offerings changed a little from day to day. That's the slightest of nitpicking though. When in the room it wasn't a bother, but when on the balcony there was quite a bit of loud music playing. Obviously the hotel can't control noises outside, but I believe some of it might've been being played by the hotel for their night time activities. I'm not 100% on where the music was coming from though. And in the room, we couldn't hear a thing. We were a bit worried that the trains would be noisy, but honestly even when outside, they were pretty muted. Otherwise we really did love it here
- The balcony off the room didn’t seem too stable, but he room itself was clean and comfy.
- No gym.

Good Points -Location ✅Restaurant ✅Receptionist upon arrival at night ✅Bar✅
Our experience on the whole was good, and we liked the hotel. However, the hotel was very quiet for almost the entire week we stayed, but we were still given a room right next to the service lift and cleaners store room. The entire floor we stayed on had several empty rooms which we could have been given, so this was disappointing. Also, when we arrived the receptionist said that we could possibly keep our room until 2pm on Friday but we would have to ask on the day. When it came to it, we were told this was not possible, and to be honest the gentleman on reception did not do anything to try and accommodate our request. This was disappointing because we arrived late on the Monday night, so they could have easily kept our room open until 2pm.Finally, on our last day, we were very disappointed when we were in the hotel trying to relax before our coach picked us up, but there was a huge party of children and adults from what appeared to be a chess club who were clearly there for a tournament of some sort. From around 2pm until 5pm the hotel turned until a school playground, with children screaming, running around the hotel reception, the pool area, the bar. We were very surprised at this because the hotel is classed as “Adults recommended” by Booking.com, so I have to say this was a major let down for us.
Staff and room service are good. The room they have provided 408,409 and 435 as Triple rooms are not triple. It was simply a double room with 2 single beds and one children bed - which is not suitable for 3 adults .
Everything else is bad. Especially the location is very remote with small roads. Booking.com only showing from one side from inside, not a street view , which is very isolated. We have booked for 3 Triple room for 9 people but the rooms are not even enough for 2 people as very small. Every double rooms they have a children bed under the single bed, which is used as 3rd Adult. There is not enough places for meeting boys, get together. Swimming pool is very basic and small. No other facilities available.Breakfast is not worth for the value. very limited choice ( 3 fruit choice, same food all 3 days, same variety) and taste was ok.
The room was spacious and clean.
No ice machine.
breakfast and location good
£100 stolen from my Hotel room safe:When we checked out on 8th October 2024, I noticed that £100 in notes were missing from my hotel room safe. Since the safe was quite dark, I rummaged around the safe to try and find my missing notes. I found hidden in the front corner of the safe, a wallet belonging to a woman who it turned out occupied the room before me, and had obviously left her wallet behind. I handed this wallet (which contained 100 Euro in notes) to reception and checked out. This is a puzzle? In my opinion, the only plausible explanation is that hotel security (who are the only ones able to access the safe apart from me) accessed my safe without my permission to try and retrieve the notes and wallet left behind by the previous occupant? Volga hotel denied any involvement in my missing £100. However, since the hotel security are the only ones able to access the safe, how can it have been anyone else?
Nice facilities friendly staff
Rooms varied mine was lovely my daughters needed a refresher
Room comfort and cleaning was very good. I did not use the breakfast facility because I only require a small meal and more appropriate options were available nearby.
I would like to see coffee facilities in the room. I would also like to see tissues for personal use available in the room.
Good location for getting the train to Barcelona or watching the Ironman (as we did both easily)
Great location for the centre of Calella, including the station. For Ironman Barcelona, it was close to Transition which helped before and after the race. Triple room was OK in size, and breakfast buffet is excellent, especially for the early sitting on race day
Kitchen close at 10pm which didn't help on day of arrival
Nice staff, exceptional breakfast, clean rooms. Good location close to the station.
Location
No parking and insufficient info about this provided by the staff. We had to pay a fine because of their mistake of communication about the parking fee.
staff are exceptional ?
location if you want beach but great for railway station with a great train service to resorts nearby so really not a massive problem just an observation
They gave us some complimentary fizz for our anniversary
Very dated, dirty, smelt, staff were rude & unhelpful, noisy, can't believe this is a 4 star hotel
the location of the hotel is relatively good, very close to the pedestrian zone but not so close to the beach, you have to cross under the railway, the breakfast is good and varied, the rooms are clean, a little outdated
Excellent location. Breakfast with great variety for every taste.
The AC is too strong, the reception/restaurant were too cold sometimes.
Spacious and clean room. Staff were very friendly and beach was only a few minutes walk.
Excellent meals served and nice variety. Flexibile to go when you choose and pay on the spot.
