Very good locationExcellent cuisine

Unfortunately, the hotel was far from a 4star experience. I understand that the place doesn't need to be completely new but some standards should be kept. Room was small, generally, not well equipped (mirror only in the bathroom, missing trash bin). A/c made strange noise, balcony door couldn't be closed properly.There were stains on wall the and mold in the shower, it all looked used and old. WiFi was working well during our stay.

Staff is lovely and friendly. We arrived late and there was a food organised for us. That was a surprise as we had food included. Every day we had fresh towels and clean room. Cleaning lady was amazing. Everyone friendly and helpful. We used massage and spa. Also outdoor pool. Breakfast was almost the same every day,just few changes. Dinner had more verities. Enjoyed tuna stale, squid, salmon and many more. We stayed 7 days, but our flight was at the evening so we booked extra day so we don’t end up really tired.

Pool was empty. Car parking difficult for anything other than a small car. Bathroom smelt. Beds hard.

The room was clean. The shampoos were a bit inadequate and the room did not have slippers. The breakfast was very good and the dinner too. Drinks were paid extra. The staff had normal behavior. The reception staff was very welcoming. We were very pleased. The area around the beach was fantastic.

No tea/coffee making facilities in room.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful and most speak excellent English (which was a relief, as my Spanish leaves a lot to be desired!) The dinner and breakfast were both amazing - so much choice!

We didn’t sleep very well as the room was too hot. We switched the heating off, then later tried to turn it to air-con, but it was still blowing out warm air, even though we’d turned the thermostat right down to 5 degrees! I assume this would be different in the summer.

The staff is very friendly, the hotel inside is renovated and the spa area has everything you need

Though we just stayed for 1 night, the food choice was very basic both for dinner and breakfast, the rooms are almost lacking sound isolation

The pool and the receptionist who helped us to book the pool. Someone helped us to reserve the parking in the nearby location.

The rooms are quite basic, at the maximum 3 star hotel. The doors are old and make a lot of noise.The hotel itself is very noisy, we had a group of adolescent swimmers who were extremely noisy and not polite. We could not rest at all, it was really a bad experience. The breakfast is not bad but it is exactly the same every day. The receptionist at the check-in was not helpful and she was quite arrogant,

Food choices were fab. Staff very friendly. Room was great, beds very comfy, shower powerful. Great location. Shop across the road, beach few mins walk, loads of restaurants very close.

If I had to say something ........ perhaps the chips could be hotter.... that would be me trying to find a fault

So close to the beach and all the shops.We loved that the pool area was quiet and getting a sunbed was not an issue unlike other hotels. Staff were all super friendly. Rooms were cleaned every day and the hotel itself was immaculate. We would definitely stay again.

Very clean, reception staff were excellent; friendly, helpful & chatty. Great location. Good breakfast choice. Lovely balcony.

No coffee making facilities in room,

The restaurant was fantastic and value for money. Rooms were cleaned every morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. Fantastic experience at this hotel.

Rooms were a little bit small. The pool was adequate size for lounging around but looked a bit small .

The staff were wonderful!

The thin doors and walls. Being able to hear in the room next door and everything from the corridor, with doors slamming.

Lobby and breakfast / dining area and also that careful and warm welcome we got when we arrived in Calella (on 5.08.2024) rather early in that day. All tips and information provided with unquestionable and great care. It was a very fulfilling and promising welcome (made possible by the light brown hair, tall and very experienced receptionist who put all her efforts to carefully provide relevant and side information and very genuine support to us)

A 4* Sup hotel should be shining, imhoUnfortunately cleanness and tidiness of our room was rather questionable (as the morning check-in was not available we checked in about 5pm; we did not put pressure to hotel staff to make our room quickly available). We have stayed at other comparable / peer hotels in Spain (e.g. Vincci Hotels) however never we had such “room experience” for more than EUR 300 a night. We shared all details reported here (now in Booking) with the hotel staff right after our stay, however no one has reached out to talk about thatThis hotel always was my dream hotel since when I was a child (I could never stay there before as my parents could not afford it), as it was (back in the late eighties) bright and elegant from the outside.So this year when I decided to take my wife and daughter there (as we had been travelling to Valencia) I was so proud and in longing for staying there (instead of reserving at Kaktus hotel) that anyone can barely image. I really expected to have a memorable time there
