- I stayed at the Royal Singhi this past week whilst attending an international conference hosted at the Yak & Yeti which is a couple minutes walk down some quiet / safe side streets. The hotel was nicer than I had expected, rooms were large and everything worked well. For the price I paid I was very happy with the stay - good wifi and nice breakfast. I had room service one evening which was fast and good value too.

- I asked them to pick me up from the airport but I could not find the guy - I suspect he was there but he assumed I would take ages to come out and as I only ever take hand luggage I normally get through quickly and he was off having a coffee. No issue though I took a cab pre-paid for USD10 which was fine. There is no gym as far as I could work out - not a surprise at this price point and the beds were a little hard but I quite liked them

Lovely locally run hotel. 10 min walk from Thamel but with lots of shops and restaurants very close by. Breakfast was lovely!Very good hot showers which were a godsend after trekking.

Hotel manage is thief. He asked me to pay NPR 3000 to allow my friend to stay 2 hrs in my room. This was most unpleasant experience I ever had with a hotel in my entire travel history. They said it's not allowed because she was a girl and it was 9pm but when I insisted they asked for NPR 3000 as extra person charge to allow her in my room. This was my 6th stay in this hotel but I will never stay in this hotel again.
