The location is quite noisy as the hotel is next to one of the biggest nightclubs of Kathmandu

No elevator. We stayed on the 6th floor. Funny that I complain about that, while going on a trekking the days after. So basically not much negative points.

Perfect location in the middle of Thamel. Great service from all the staff. Special thanks to Aastha and Santosh at reception, who were always helpful. Rooms are nice, mine even had a bathtub, which was a lifesaver for tired legs. If I ever come back to Kathmandu, this will be the place.

Staff and manager were very friendly and helpful in assisting us with trekking flights.

Hot water was a bit unreliable.

Well, to start the beds were really uncomfortable. I was in room 403, which had a double and a single bed. You could feel the bed springs on the double bed, so I had to sleep in the single bed, which wasn't much more comfortable. The bed linen was old and frayed. The bathroom was not great . The shower head sprayed water everywhere, and the tap got water on the counter whenever you turned it on.The walls were dirty, the bathroom was dirty, and the floors were dirty. There was supposed to he a mini fridge, hair 5 robes in the room, but there wasn't. It's old and needs to be cleaned and upgraded . I have no idea how this place was rated a 9.1. I would have to say it was more like a 6 or 7 .

Kathmandu Eco hotel is a professional, comfortable and clean stay, who looked after us before and after we went on the Annapurna circuit. Bathrooms and bedrooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are very kind and supportive and breakfast was tasty and fresh. They were able to keep some of our luggage safe for us during our trek, which was very helpful. One drawback for us was the location in central Thamel: expect loud noise from the street throughout the night and bring earplugs. We asked to stay in a room away from the street (generally room numbers ending 1-3) after our trek (on the advice on other guests in the comments) and the noise was much better, so consider doing this if you are a light sleeper.

Perfect place to stay in Kathmandú! Great location to rent or buy whatever you need for your trek. Staff is superb!And they even storage the luggage you aren't taking to the trek for free!Will definitely be back

Hospitality is lovely.. Mr.Rajendra, Mr. Bhimal, restaurant staff Kopila, reception staff, bell boy, travel desk, house keeping staffs offered best service. Appreciate the free airport pick up and drop off too

Only drawback is there is no lift access to higher floors. But Mr. Rajendra offered me almost the same room in floor 1 instead of floor 6

Great experience, the staff were really cordial and helpful. We were able to do a late checkout, with no extra charge. Amenities were awesome. However, there is no lift. So might be a little difficult for older people to climb stairs to the top floors.

Best hotel you could possibly stay at in Nepal. The staff were incredibly lovely - went above and beyond in every way. Rooms are great. Restaurant and complementary breakfast is delightful. We initially booked two nights here and ended up staying well over a week. Truly best place I’ve ever stayed.

Location, rooms and manager are great. I always stay at this property when i am in Kathmandu, manager is very helpful.
