Hotel not advisable for family. Rooms and bed is smelly. Too much noise from the street.

Located close to all the important areas of Kathmandu. The Hotel Owner and Staff are very friendly and polite.

The hotel is right in the center of Thamel, so everything is close and easy to reach. The room rates are fair and give good value for the location.The breakfast service was somewhat limited compared to the expectations of a buffet-style offering. Guests are provided with a fixed selection determined by the hotel, rather than having the flexibility to choose from a wider spread. Additionally, as the items are prepared to order rather than pre-arranged, there can be a noticeable wait before the meal is served.On the day of our visit, the breakfast included a modest assortment: a slice of bread with egg, butter and jelly, a small portion of vegetables, a crepe, juice, coffee, potatoes, and cereal with milk and oats. While the quality of the food was satisfactory, the restricted variety and slower service may not appeal to travelers seeking a more extensive or efficient morning dining experience.

Mr. Raj and staff at this hotel are absolutely wonderful. The service, breakfast, and friendliness of everyone made my stay all the more comfortable. This place is a gem. I plan on making this hotel my main stay whenever in Katmandu.

i enjoy the 11 nights staying in the Hotel Yambu kathmandu! everything is perfect here, the breakfast, the bed, the hot shower. staff are really nice and very helpful, with the airport pick up and help me with the trip to Pokhara and even send me to the bus station 6:30am in the morning. it’s really a most pleasant stay here!

Super friendly staff and Boss, Raj. Help us to arrange the hike to ABC with very affodable price. He is sharing a lot about sourounding area and useful addvice to us. Hotel provide nice breakfast, like the pancake very much . Will recomend to friends and come back again in future.

Breakfast was good but location and room facility was not ok, beds were bad , bathroom condition was not good.

1. Very friendly staffs are willing to help any issues.2. Clean and roomy room with hot water shower, especially after trekking.3. Breakfast perfect enough ( not heavy) with a choice of eggs (fries, scrambled, omlet), toast, naan, vegetables in addition to seasonal fruits (watermelon and papaya in Dec), Greek yogurt, and cereals.4. Close to Thamel (just around corner with a short cut).5. Great value to solo and couple travelers.6. I will definitely stay again!

Nice stay, in a good place. The gay in the front desk Shubham Singh was really helpful and Nice. The room was comfortable.

The owner of this property, Raj is simply exceptional. He is friendly and helpful and went out of his way to learn our names and assist us during our stay. His whole staff took great care of us and I can’t say enough about their service. It was the best we have ever had anywhere at any price. It’s the only place we would come back to in Kathmandu.

They are updating their rooms which will be helpful.

People there are very friend la, the owner is always checking about you and making you feel like home. All the members of the staff are very kind, helpful and nice. The breakfast is really good and the location is very good. Te room and internet is also good. So it was very pleasant and good stay.

We have been staying at this property many times over the past few years and this was our most comfortable stay ever. The mattress was comfortable and the room was nicely furnished.

I liked the location, the breakfast, and the staff. Everyone was very nice, the owner was very helpful, and I felt safe there, as a solo female traveler. They have a luggage storage, and my stuff was kept safely.

There was a mothball smell in the room, and there was some street noise during the day time hours, due to proximity to Thamel. Although it was a bit off the main street, so not as noisy as other places, I imagine.

Located right in the heart of the touristy area - Thamel, but away from the busy streets and noise. Has a hot shower and a hairdryer. The bed was comfortable. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast area was very cozy and the breakfast itself was very good.

We have stayed at this hotel the last several times that we have visited Nepal and we keeping coming back because of the central but slightly off the main track location and the staff.

The property itself is getting quite dated. They have installed an elevator which was working part of the time we stayed there.

Best hotel in Kathmandu ! The owner is fab and helps everyone with everything! Best breakfast too!

Really liked this place! Super handy location — easy to walk everywhere. The staff were so nice and very welcoming. Room was clean and comfy, and the breakfast was way better than I expected for the price. Great value overall!
