Hotel Tibet

Beautiful architecture and paintings, very welcoming and cozy spaces. Very good taste! The staff are impressively attentive and genuinely caring.

Super clean- everyday cleaning service is supreme. Also all the staff are so wonderful- so helpful- and also very sincere- they really try to make you feel at home.

We had a nice stay at Tibet Hotel. Staff is very nice and responsive, rooms are confortable with standard equipment.Rooftop restaurant and lobby café are very nice (good food and good drinks).Good restaurants in the vicinity.

Can be a little noisy in the morning as there are people leaving very early the hotel.Breakfast is ok but little choice (basic fruits like watermelon and melon only), croissants and chocolate croissants were not fresh every day (4 days).Bathroom not very convenient, water goes everywhere when you have a shower.

The rooms were furnished to a high standard, with fine bedlinen provided. The decor was tasteful, reflecting the hotel's Tibetan heritage. It was like staying in an art gallery. What really impressed us was the staff. They were so helpful and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. They were quick to respond to requests and showed excellent teamwork in getting things done.

The toilet could have been better designed; the area outside the shower becomes wet and slippery due to water splashing out during a shower.Ask for a room facing the back of the hotel. Our room faced the front and we could hear music from the hotel next door. Thankfully it stopped at 10.30pm every night.

Hotel was well designed, great spaces and location was great. Rooms were very comfortable, clean and lovely space to spend downtime

Very friendly personnel, clean hotel, tasty breakfast. Nice restaurant on the rooftop. Couldn’t ask for more.

Warm and friendly welcome, smiling staff always, over and above assitive. Facility was safe in a compound in diplomatic area in backstreet with many souvenir and gift and jewellery shops. Rooftop bar and restaurant was a bonus.

Breakfast provision was inadequate and extremely poor by international standards. Needs attention. Perhaps as hotel was under occupied, but we should have been informed and had specific provision made for us.

Excellent location , smiling and always helpful staff . Bikash and Dev at front desk were specially helpful and helped direct us to points to sightsee etc.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are fine. Nice terrace with delicious food. Quite area not far from Thamel shopping area. I felt very welcome.

Beautiful Place tastefully designed. Great and professional staff. Good food. Good value for your money. Staff is so caring they offered us 3 umbrellas for our family when it appeared it was going to rain. Very neat and clean property. Beautiful paintings all around ! Highly recommended. Washrooms had good water pressure.

My only complaint was that their Wifi was not up to the mark.

Very friendly and helpful stuff, very good location near the Tamil and the airport. Comfortable beds and good breakfast.The hotel has an unique style and it is very nice designed with a lot of local details and beautiful photos from the area.I fully recommend.

We had such a great stay at the Hotel Tibet. We met friends there and were so grateful for the place as a launch point for us in Kathmandu. For us, the hotel was centrally located, safe, clean, and although close to Thamel, it was far enough away to be an oasis away from all the vendors/shops/noise/lights/etc.. The hotel was clean and it somehow mixed old Tibetan charm with contemporary conveniences. Our rooms (three in all) were well-appointed and modern with good wifi and nice bathrooms. The staff was maybe the best part. They were so friendly and helpful. We ended up spending a bunch of time in the hotel catching up with friends/family and loved the roof top terrace and delicious menu and bar up there. Hope we are able to come back soon!

What didn't we like? Hmmmm. We are still delighting in our great time there so its hard to think of something that should be improved. There might be cheaper places to stay, but this hotel was SO much nicer, cleaner, modern, better food, etc. After being out and about all day, its so nice to come back and relax and catch up in a high-quality hotel.

I really liked this hotel. Location is good. Close to Thamel and easy access to everything I wanted to do. At the same time it is tucked away from the rush of the city.Hotel itself feels brand new, I guess it was recently renovated. It has a great Tibetan feeling but modern at the same time. Staff professional but friendly and engaging. I would happily stay here on any future visits.

The location is excellent, walking distance to Thamel, with a local supermarket next store, a spa and shopping yet in a quiet neighborhood.

The special hospitality. During each of my annual stays at Hotel Tibet, I experience the care with which the rooms are looked after and the excellent food is prepared. But above all, the friendliness of all the staff is outstanding. This has kept me coming back for 10 years. It feels like my second home in Kathmandu!

The hotel is brand new the quality of the furniture first class. The services are in impeccable. The food is delicious. The views are gorgeous the location is exceptional. What more can I say?!

Bad

It was a scam for the hotel to allow booking knowing that the hotel is under repairs. In the middle of the night my daughter had to look for alternative place to stay. It could have been a safety issue.

Service was exceptional, food was also good.

I liked everything, a coffee shop would have been a good additiion
