Avataar Kathmandu Hotel

On my booking it says breakfast is free but they are trying to charge me for breakfast. Really poor service .

Service, cleaning and stuff. One guy was amazing welcome us and gave us gift when we left the hotel.

Everything is very nice at this hotel. HOT water for a great shower...great food...great service... this is now my #1 hotel in KTM.

Staffs way of dealing with customers is excellent specially Mrs. Rachana's polite behavior and management capabilities is appreciatable..Next time I will stay here and also tell others family friends.

Roof top restaurant sevice needs to be improved. Specially cooking part.

Wasn’t clean as I would like and is getting tired and old. Towel beautifully displayed on the bed was still damp.

The location of the hotel and the kindness of all the staff.The manager, Mr Swansee was helpful providing lots of information about the country, people and help to organize my thoughts about Nepal (big thank to him).Miss Rachana Deukota was amazing helping to make my stay comfortable, providing information and proposing solutions, My wife and I adored her and her kindness.We where extremely happy with everybody in the hotel from the door man to the cleaners to the restaurant team. wonderful staff, if we will have a second chance to visit Nepal we will be choosing this hotel again.Thank you all

I'm really glad that I stayed in this hotel. The staff members gave me a very warm welcome on arrival and they were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. My executive suite was very spacious and really lovely for the price. The bed was also super comfortable. The location was also very convenient to get to local attractions. I highly recommend this hotel.

The friendly staffs as always and the quite street made my stay a memorable one. I was treated like a god there, very nice rooms, breakfast and the beds in fact. Highly recommended property to stay in Thamel.

the winding lanes around are confusing

Great location in the heart of Thamel. The staff were amazing and helped us with booking a driver for the day for us to explore many sights in and around the city. Breakfast was also decent. The great staff is what really made our stay here!

Not the most brand new hotel but even though it was basic, we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

My room was very quiet, given how loud and noisy the streets of Thamel are. The staff is very friendly.

My air conditioner could only cool the room down but could not heat. So, they gave me a very old and big heater, which worked just fine.

Good afternoon! I stayed at this hotel in early January. I'll start with the staff. Very friendly and caring people, thank you for your care and comfort. I would especially like to mention the manager of the Nabin Hotel! I helped with booking comfortable bus tickets to Pokhara. Always in touch and ready to solve any situation!The room meets expectations, the prices are normal. I've arranged breakfast, you won't stay hungry.

There are no complaints. The accommodation was comfortable and convenient!

Great location and price

Facilities are a little run down but still clean

The room is big, nice heating inverter, hot water shower whole day long, good lighting, comfy bed.

The room was noisy because of the busy streets.

The Property is very conveniently located in the Most Happening place in Kathmandu i.e. Thamel. Thamel is the place for youngsters/couples/shoppers.The Hotel Rooms given to us were very cozy, with Balconies and basically all things that were presented on Booking.com. However there were a couple misses, that could have been handled better.

The hotel runs on a skeleton staff, who are probably over-worked and that causes slow service.The hotel only serves Breakfast Buffet when there are ample number of guests with Breakfast option included. However, if you have chosen the "with Breakfast" option and buffet is not there you can still order breakfast, just that it will take forever to be made available.

One of the best hotels in Kathmandu at its price. Everything is good about the place, the clean and large rooms (we got the one with balcony), extremely hospitable staff and really good food for breakfast. Highly recommend the place.

The staff here are amazing! They are very accommodating and will do whatever they can to make sure you have a comfortable stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable and include a bottle of water each day. The location is convenient for access to restaurants, bars and lots of shopping (very touristy area).

Thamel is a very busy area and street noise starts early and doesn't stop until quite late, if you're looking for a peaceful getaway this isn't it, but if you're looking for fun and vibrancy this area is perfect!

It is a long list of things I liked at "Avataar". It's not just its location/excellent value for money/great facilities in the Apartment/the cleanliness of the room/ the good sized balcony/the bathroom facilities: excellent/the good size and comfortable bed/ the added 'small' things: good lighting/good extra writing tables/good sized refrigerator/kettle/ great Wi-Fi speed/excellent food in their Restaurant/ plenty of seating /instant contact with Reception /tea and sugar provided/ good shower pressure. But it is ALL the staff who make all these things available and maintained. Because of their genuine care your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as is possible. They go out of their way, to make you feel instantly 'at home'. Traveling in a foreign Country only makes your trip that much more fun and enjoyable. I cannot praise the staff enough. They deserve all and most of the credit for making "Avataar" the success it is. I booked a second time after a trip to Pokhara. I would not stay anywhere else, from now on. I only hope that the Management of the "Avataar" appreciates the staff as much as I have. I wish them and "Avataar" all the success it fully deserves.
