The hotel appears luxurious but is actually old and only partially renovated. If you compare it to other 4-star hotels around the world in terms of service, you’ll likely be disappointed

If you’re looking for peace of mind, fair treatment, and basic respect — do not stay at Gatsby Hotel. Especially if you’re not European, think twice. You may not be treated the same.After checkout, we received a message from the hotel claiming that they had contacted the police due to alleged damage in the room.The alleged damage was a small mark on a tile that had clearly been previously filled with cement, making it obvious it was not caused during our stay and had nothing to do with us. In reality, we were the ones who called the police to defend our name. The officers came, inspected everything, found no damage, and closed the case. Despite that, the hotel still charged us €850 (with no valid proof)The whole thing was stressful, humiliating, and ruined our travel plans.Also, be warned about the hotel’s hidden “no visitors in your room” rule. I briefly had a visitor, not an overnight guest, and were treated like we’d committed a crime. It’s not written anywhere, but even someone stepping in for a moment can cause chaos. Apparently, tiles are more welcome than people.Overpriced, stressful, and not guest-friendly, especially if you're not local. Avoid.

Location was great for exploring the town. Breakfast was exceptional as were the staff. Rooms were clean and very well looked after. Could not fault anything about my stay.

Very good breakfast - room looked nice and was very clean.

I had to wait quite some time at check-in.I did not sleep well at all. The airco automatically switched off after a view hours - I woke up a very hot room. I opened the window, but due to the closed area my room was looking at, that did not give any solution. Switched back on the airco, same story a few hours later.

What a fine hotel!! Lovely building, beautiful room done with admirable attention to atmosphere and details. Great bed, great shower, good coffee machine. Super helpful and friendly owner.

Fantastic. Rooms are beautiful. Location superb only 100m walk to the beach. Breakfast with lots of choices. Parking for free in the nearby streets for max 2 hours with the blue card. The blue card is necessary I believe from 9 am to 9pm. I arrived after 9pm and left at 10am so I didn't have to pay anything for parking.

Wonderful hotel, beautiful room, nice amenities...Coffee, tea, etc. A nice luxury hotel! terrific breakfast.

The air conditioner in the room was not right temperature. The night was cold and the slipper and bathrobe was not in the room. The reception is not 24 hours.

The towels were not a great quality.

Charming and welcoming, with friendly and helpful staff. Lots of little touches that made a difference. Great location near to beach and promenade but quiet. Lovely breakfast. Decor was well designed and executed - themed but not over the top.

The lift felt unreliable - didn't stop level with the floor and didn't always come when called. Using the stairs instead was not ideal as the steps were very short and especially when carrying luggage did not feel particularly safe. Car parking space was very expensive at 30Euro, particularly as it was no more secure than parking on the street 5m away

that you can only check in after 16.00. Also parking is 30 euro’s a day, but if you arrive after 16.00 and leave at 10.00 it is a very short “day”

Nothing worth mentioning.

Extremely comfy bed, superb breakfast, convenient location. There were lots of thoughtful touches, including a kettle as well as a coffee maker.The hotel was an easy 5 to 10 minute walk from Blankenberge Station, the trams, the shops and the beach.

Only a minor point but we found the light switch system complicated

The decoration of the hotel in Art Deco mode was a success. Everything was decorated with tasteRoom was comfortable, and breakfast very good.5 minute walk to the beach.

Choose the hotel for location. But the photos online don’t do the place justice. I just adored the decor and style, very mature but with character and charm. the owner/manager was a delight, genuinely pleasant and warm and welcoming.

Great staff and a nice clean large room.
