The rooms are good and beds are comfortable

Bar staff is incompetent and impolite and drinks are overpriced. Bring your own water, for they charge you 8€ for a bottle of tap water pretending to be sparkling water.

It’s clean and beautiful. A real hotel with a real DAILY room cleaning service. The fitness center is wonderful with water bottles and towels provided

You have to pay €25 per person for 2 hours at the pool and the AC system is terrible. And the cocktails are overpriced with hardly any alcohol

After booking, you get a mail that the Wellness area is extra paid and NOT included in the room price. It would have been nicer to announce that BEFORE booking. Lot's of "out of order" signs in the hotel. On the toilets, on the TESLA chargers, on the vending machines. On our way back, we just charged there and had dinner, but the menus are quit expensive...

It’s not suitable for any other group of people but a couple. There’s no privacy, the shower is with normal glass and in the room, so if you’re traveling with a friend or colleague, he needs to stay in the corner of the room, head turned around. Distance between separate toilet and sink to wash hands with soap inconvenient, also distant from shower. No place for towels near shower.

It is beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent!

The hotel's overall facilities, including breakfast, parking, bar, and restaurant, were excellent. The wellness facilities are brand new and impressive—and they were complimentary for our stay.

There was no water in the apartments on our departure day.The wellness facilities have poor value for money. While they would be nice as a complimentary hotel facility, they're definitely not worth the €25 per person fee.

The breakfast buffet was very good with many choices. I think the price of 23 pp euros is way too high. because of that, we saw many people packing food and putting it in their bags. The rooms were perfect. The Restaurant is OK. Food choices are OK and good quality. But 7 euros for 0,5 lt. Spa rood is insane. Van der Valk is getting overpriced.

The hotel is a calm and relaxing place to stay. The quality of the restaurant and the breakfasts are excellent.

I was very disappointed by the response to my booking for a room with a pet. The booking.com details stated pet friendly. But after booking the hotel contacted me to say only some rooms are pet friendly. The one I had booked was not permitted to be used by pets. All hotels I have used via booking,com to-date will not permit a non-pet friendly room to be booked for use by a pet. This IMO is an error on the part of the hotel. Sadly the staff did not try to assist and just repeated the same message over and over again. I stayed for the night in a cheaper room, the hotel would not refund my payment even though the problem was caused by them. It's a hotel I have used before and I like very much but I will not return because of their policy and the poor way the problem was handled.Even more annoying because I have stayed in the hotel before and the same pet was permitted to stay in the room I booked this time. The message from the hotel was “pets aren’t allowed in luxury rooms”. Better hotels seem to have no issue with pets in “luxury rooms” and this seems a recent, and mistaken, policy on the part of the Van der Valk.

Super modern hotel, great location for the main highway. Very clean, good restaurant, outstanding breakfast this was a star, catering for most peoples requirements. Reception staff are welcoming and friendly. 2nd stay at this hotel and would certainly recommend.
