Budget accommodation that was near the venue we were attending in town.

Bed was a little firm and some fittings are dated but for the price this suited our needs fine.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Absolutely incredible stay! We booked the family suite at The Rover and it honestly blew us away. It was beyond perfect — so clean, beautifully set up, and had everything we could possibly need. The cooking facilities were a total game-changer! Last time we stayed somewhere else, we spent hours driving around trying to find a working barbecue, but here we could just relax, cook, and enjoy our time together.The pool was stunning, the staff and management were next-level amazing, and the whole place just had this warm, welcoming energy that made us feel instantly at home. And on top of all that — it was at a fantastic price!We honestly didn’t want to leave. The Rover has become our new favourite place to stay, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you for giving our family such a beautiful, stress-free experience — we’ll definitely be back!

There wasnt a single thing we didnt like

The space was large and allowed myself and my kids plus my mum to stay overnight in separate rooms

Great service. Needs updating especially the curtains. A couple of issues that were immediately rectified. Good location. Large room. Comfy beds. Amazing shower.

Didn’t stay, went and found...

It was run down, dirty, smelt, seedy people walking around

Was promoted as self catering accommodation.

Kettle didn’t work.Power points in the kitchenette didn’t work.Found the mattress to be extra firm and uncomfortable.Bedside lamp had no globe in it.

Place was very dirty bad linen had blood stains on the bed. Linen place was not clean properly. The shower drain did not drain away. The water so stood in a big pile of water was blocked.

Excellent location and friendly helpful staff. The room and bedding were very clean. WiFi was ok it bombed out the second evening of our stay. This is a solid 2.5 star budget but exceptionally clean. There were some cooking facilities and we were able to rustle up some local caught reef fish. I would stay again.0

Our last night we had noisy guests overhead loud music and jumping up and down.

Not suitable for families....alot on mining workers and they where drinking in the front of there rooms making noise late into the night.

Great location, spacious room, very obliging staff and rooms have everything you could need for an extended stay.

We were looking for a quick overnight stay before my family flew out of Mackay. This was definitely budget in price, but lovely and clean with everything we needed. Area was quiet and although the outside looks quite dated but the rooms were renovated and very comfortable and so clean! We’ll definitely stay again!

I love the clean rooms,how big the units are and how friendly and eager the owner/managrrs are to make your stay comfortable as possible.
