Mackay Resort Motel

Very Clean lovely staff. comfortable bed very good bathroom.

there is not much I can say bad. for me very enjoyable.

Clean friendly motel close to town pub accross the road plus restaurant on site fish chips, hamburgers kentucky all near by

Love this place! Great staff and super comfy beds. Located right near IGA and servo for easy convenience. Rooms have cutlery/crockery/microwave which was great should you choose to eat in your room.

Was exactly what I expected for the price. Clean and tidy.

So dark with little lighting it was hard to find my room on the second floor (it was pouring rain)No parking allocated for the unit so when I arrived there were no parks available so had to park out the front of the property.

The property was in a good location and clean. The rooms were good and comfortable

The bathroom could do a deeper clean and the freezer wasn’t emptied but everything else was fine

We were late arriving for check in and pressed the buzzer, spoke to someone straight away and got our room key. The room was very comfortable.

Location was fine for quick stop over. We had a late arrival and key was left for us. Good that they have rooms that accommodate family of 5.

Our room (227) was not laid out well. Kids were cold under aircon and we were sweating at the other end of the room with no reach from aircon. Mattress too soft.

Location was good, across the road was the Shamrock hotel. Room was clean and tidy, all the kitchen facilities you could need. Foxtel channels was a bonus. Good parking spacious room too.

All was a good stay for 2 nights.

Nothing is good

When we arrived the carpet is wet, there is water leaking issue, the main light at room is not working. From 4pm there is no staff working already.

Comfy beds, clean rooms, good location and good parking.

Hotel was out of complimentary water and reception did not answer after calling several times.

nice male staff member called Fraser

mattress very uncomfortable, shower -low water pressure/minimal hot water available/ substandard bathroom-shower rose needs replacing and water sprayed everywhere-only given1 washer for 2 people

Clean and the pool is great. Really like the family room set up.

Clean beds were so comfortable and 24 hr IGA within Walking Distance

Close to busy road but couldn't hear any traffic once in the rooms

We had a spacious room for four people. I was super happy to find a toaster, microwave, dishes and coffee making facilities in the room. The staff were friendly, the pool looked nice and parking was easy. We walked to eat dinner so the location was good.

No complaints, as far as motels go this was very nice.

Well fitted out and clean

So close to perfect BUT the toilet seats are cheap and nasty. Not good and uncomfortable for heavy people. Install a strong and hard and higher quality toilet seat. This will compleate a comfortable stay an make the stay an 9-10

Very clean. Great location near the hospital so very convenient if you have someone in there.

Parking is a little bit of an issue. The parks aren’t allocated so if you get back to your room late in the evening you are likely to miss out.The bathroom is in the middle of the room. Not a problem but no window and the air vent wasn’t working so any aromas hung around like a bad smell.

Pool area was great, and the layout of the family suite was fantastic, great value for money, and Shamrock Hotel across the road was great for a meal.

People smoking on balconies or in the designated smoking area was very close to the family suite so smelt very bad.

Clean room, Foxtel and location.

The bed was too soft and slumped in the middle.

Clean, comfortable, great pool and friendly staff.

Pool, beds.

Air conditioning didn’t work, reception closes at 12pm same time as check in opens so no face to face staff contact available. Multiple calls to emergency after hours number (approx 4 times) between 2pm and 11pm with no answer back. Mackay 35 degrees that day and room booked to get child ready for dance concert. Concerns raised with counter staff who I assume is the manager the next morning, unsympathetic, stated he “didn’t see any missed calls”, unwilling to apologise or offer any kind of compensation because “you booked through a third party” tried to escalate to a manager when he said he’s it. He could not have cared less, disgusting customer service towards a young family. Would never stay again due to this alone.
