Pros +
- Location is decent. 45 minutes away from Naples downtown and 15 minutes away from beaches in Bacoli
- Loved the breakfast in the morning plus the shuttle buses.
- We come to the area regularly to visit family and friends and this is the first time of trying Agave Hotel, and based on cost compared to other hotels, we think it offers good value for money. We are a family of 4, with 2 girls (age 17 & 14). We hired a car (which for this location we'd recommend), there is plenty of space to park and the hotel feels safe and secure. Driving into the petrol station to access the hotel felt a little odd the first time around, but the hotel is tucked further up the hill and so it does not interfere with it. All of the staff we encountered were polite and helpful and did all they could to make our stay relaxing and comfortable. Simona on reception was great when we arrived late on Friday night, the checking in and out process is very simple. Alessandro at breakfast was great, always making sure we had all we wanted. Antonio at the pool helped us with the daily routine of setting up our sun beds and umbrella and always had a keen eye on making sure the pool rules were abided by, so that it was a relaxing atmosphere for everyone. (As a note - in Italy in most places you are expected to wear a swimming hat when you are in the pool, especially if you are swimming and you put your had under the water). The grounds and the pool were cleaned to a high standard daily, as were the rooms. Breakfast offered a wide choice of sweet treats (cakes, pancakes, pastries etc), cooked and cold meat, cheese, yoghurts, fruit and hot and cold drinks. We ordered espresso and cappucino every morning directly from the waiters, which were not an additional cost (as in some places!).
Cons -
- The property owner is rude and not friendly. The staff is lazy. The pool closes at 18:00 (6pm). The beds are terrible, breakfast is frugal and understocked every morning. It's shameful. I had over 18 guests under my name for 6 days, giving them business by the bar everyday and at their restaurant, and was STILL treated poorly. The room service will enter your room even if you have a sign "do not disturb". Pool has a contract with some daycare so expect to see school kids on your "leisure stay." When the pool area closes around 22:00 (10pm) there is no designated area to hang out at. This hotel claims to host special occasions and events, etc but they are not ready for anything of that sort. I had OVER 18 guests with breakfast paid every morning, and I had to argue with the staff that some of my guests will go hungry if they didn't restock the food. They claim breakfast is from 7:00 to 10:00 and the food was all out by 8:45-9, the staff had to reach out to the boss for approval to cook more food ? Pathetic. The CRAZY PART, is after my 8 guests arrived around 9:00 for breakfast with empty plates, MORE random guests entered the breakfast area, so wtf would they have eaten if I didn't raise the concern with the staff.
- Wish there was a foot accessible pathway to other areas, a vehicle is must if you plan to stay.
- A very minor grumble was that we didn't have instructions for the TV and so took us a while to figure it out. We wouldn't usually worry about TV, but the Olympics was on this year!

The staff was nice - one lady spoke English
Ants nests in roomsRestaurant food stale and bland
Nice pool and some of the staff were very helpful
Very isolated. Cannot stay there without transport. No evening entertainment. Nothing on site to do, no where to go. You cannot leave on foot as it is on a dual carriageway.
BackdropRooms good size Quiet Nice plants
Pool closed - very upsetting, no apologies or prior warning Limited menu - many things not available and same for lunch and dinnerBreakfast - sub par at best !!
I liked how everything was green and fresh around us and also how spacious our rom was
It bothered me that they were mowing the grass very early in the morning At least do it in at 12 or later in the afternoonAlso our shower head was half attached so would almost fall on my head
The grounds were nice and there was a security gate at the entrance. Reception staff spoke english and we were able to communicate with them.
Did not feel like a four star hotel, the bathroom was unclean especially the shower cubicle. Lack of amenities in the bathroom. The room had damage on the skirting board. No real blanket on bed, there was another blanket in the wardrobe but I wasn’t confident this was clean. Breakfast buffet was limited and eggs were cold.
Nothing it was not like the pictures . It was like a war zone .pool full of rubble shocking . Food disgusting. People not helpful . The worst place I've had to indure . Very upset
Didn't like anything
Very friendly and helpful staff and good food in the restaurant
Location was a bit unexpected and tricky as you can’t walk anywhere from it
Nicely decorated
Pool was closed and not advised prior
Swimming pool, parking
The swimming pool is close at 6pm, very early.Basic Italian Breakfast
The property was beautiful and a great place to power down and relax. The pool was lovely, as was the food and great staff.
As a location, if you don’t have access to your own vehicle getting to and out of the hotel requires a taxi.
The staff were fantastic. Nothing was a problem and they were happy to help.Room was very clean and comfortable and easy accessible
Didn't understand why I had to buy and wear a swimming cap when others in the pool didn't. Dirt and leaves everywhere around the pool could have been looked after better. Location was not ideal for us as we needed to get into naples and didn't realise the costings involved for a taxi.
Great swimming pool, very clean, staff are super friendly and helpful
Breakfast could offer more variety. Too many sweet options (cakes and brioches) and too few savory ones
The pool was good
One of the rooms were not what we ordered and we had to wait for thtree nights before we could change it.
Sweet breakfast
Room smelled of sewer, I didn't go out to sleep, it wasn't missing a bottle of water in the room
Good hotel with good facilities. Staff was very helpful.
We had extreme poor wifi in our room. Even though the room was close to the reception and staff provided us with the wifi password from the staff network is remained very bad. I had to sit on the doorstep of my room in order to receive wifi signal sufficient enough to have my email working.. Tv was very small in the room. (my 15 inch laptop screen was bigger but since I did not have wifi the laptop proved no alternative for the Tv).
Very spacious room with very nice view over the mountainExcellent staff very supportive Free secured parking
No kettle in the roomVery small TV screen with only Italian channels. we didn't use it at all.Despite the room is quite big, the shower space is very narrow
Lovely family owned Quiet, clean, comfortable
Wish they offered coffee in the morning and a simple restaurant at least for breakfast before starting our day
