Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay

The whole experience was bad. They assigned an under maintenance room when we checked in. Changed it the next day. The water heater was not working even in that room. Changed it to another room the next day. I asked for house keeping to clean the room in the morning and no one came to clean it. They came later at night before bed time! The staff are not professional at all and everything takes ages. I totally do not recommend staying in the hotel. It’s not a Waldorf Astoria standard. All those comments were communicated to the duty manager !

We booked four rooms for our family and arrived at 7:30 PM, well after the official check-in time of 3:00 PM, but the rooms were still not ready. We were traveling with children and were very tired after the journey. The only thing we were told was to sit and wait until the rooms were cleaned — completely unacceptable for a five-star hotel.After dinner, we received room keys that did not work. My elderly father was forced to wait in the corridor for over 20 minutes while the issue was being resolved. The next morning, key cards did not work in the elevator, preventing part of our group from accessing the rooms. There was also no hairdryer in the room, and the power outlets next to the bed were not working.Overall, the service was terrible, and the hotel made no real effort to recover the situation. This property does not meet five-star standards at all. Based on our experience, Kempinski or Banyan Tree provide a much higher level of service in Doha.

I liked all the staff from entering the building until the room. The room was spacious we were 2 and a baby and the room was enough. I also liked how quiet it was

There are somethings that need to fixed like the door there is a sound when closing and the water hose for toilet.

The gave me upgrade to one bedroom apartment, which was great and comfortable

The location is convenient and close to City Center mall and lots of other places. The food at Yun and Muru were exceptional. The breakfast buffet has a good selection. The rooms are very comfortable. The staff are also quite friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is beautifully designed with luxurious interiors and an elegant atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and professional, ensuring every detail was perfect throughout my stay. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a wonderful city view. I especially appreciated the quick check-in process and the overall calm, relaxing environment.

There was a slight delay in room service delivery. Other than that, everything else was excellent.

The staff were so helpful especially Yasmin and Donia on the checkin counter and Charles and the other two guys on the Concierge very friendly very helpful and very kind they helped us to book restaurants in Doha and alot of other things

The staff was very friendly and very informative, and arranged a nice anniversary surprise for us in our room. We loved our dinner at Yun Restaurant, they even catered to our personal requests about the food and drinks. The breakfast was exceptional. The facilities, pool, and gym were very clean and well maintained.

Upon arrival, I was surprised to be informed by the receptionist that there were no available rooms due to a system issue between Booking.com and the hotel. In such cases, I would normally expect a complimentary upgrade as done in other five-star hotels.Instead, I was given a regular room, and to my shock, when I entered using the key card, I found another guest already inside the room! This was extremely concerning from a security and privacy perspective. Both the guest and I were equally shocked.After returning to the reception with the staff, the receptionist reassigned me to another room. Unfortunately, the new room was of very poor quality and did not reflect the standards of a five-star luxury hotel in Doha.Overall, my experience was disappointing and far from what I would expect from a hotel of this category. Serious improvements are needed in guest management, room assignment, and overall service quality.

The hotel is simply stunning — luxurious rooms with elegant design, spotless cleanliness, and incredibly comfortable beds. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, always going the extra mile. We loved the amazing breakfast selection and the overall peaceful ambiance throughout the property. The location is also perfect — central and convenient.

A few more kid-friendly activities would have been a great bonus.
