Steigenberger Hotel Doha

Location and clanliness.

The staff dont care about your time. They didnt believe me when I told them that the room service has to get me 40 Riyal back. Almost missed my flight because of this.

This property was super clean and beautiful. A luxurious hotel.

The location is not very central.The breakfast selection is not amazing either.

I booked for 4 nights.In Second night i ask them to refill shower gel.And no one takes action.Why they not check??Two nights no action no one check? Why clean only

The location is very close to Waqif Souq and in the center of the old Doha The Hotel is comfortable and very clean the room are spacious

The comfort

Been to more than 20 countries and 100s of hotels and for the first time in my life to be a guest in a hotel paid 50 Reyal to use the sauna and jacuzzi every time i go. It is weird

I stayed at Steigenberger for my birthday celebration .My stay at Steigenberger was nothing short of amazing . The manager Mohammed and the staff made my stay absolutely AMAZING. Mohammed and the staff were so friendly very helpful and made my birthday soo special . I was suprised with a cake and my room was decorated as a special suprise . The bedroom suite was soo clean and comfortable . I was soo relaxed and happy during my stay . The staff were soo helpful . Special mention to Sajib and the team at the front of house . Nothing was too much for them . Always greeted with a smile and always available to help with our luggage. I will surely return to this hotel when I’m in Doha next. Best hotel I have ever stayed in .

Location, clean, affordable

The property was showing a lot of availability on the property website and on booking but surprisingly when i went to the hotel reception the staff told me they don’t have any availability, i was surprised that they were lying because on the spot i made my booking through booking app, what the staff did was a clear manipulation of clients to force them to pay more for upgrades.

The room interior design choices

The service is very slow and bad, the front desk do not pick up phone calls more often than not. The operator also missed some calls and the valet service too. You have to call multiple times to get an answer. the valet service is very slow and we had to wait for the car for quit some time before they'd bring it, parking the car yourself is a much better and faster experience. requested bath towels it took around 45 mins to get them, then 20 mins later another person showed up with towels again. the room has too much echo, the faintest of sounds produce an annoying each (closing earbud's case for example). We were given a room that had a door between it and the other room, due to that the sounds travel easily between the two rooms. we woke up in the middle of the night multiple times due to loud conversations in the other room.

Hotel was nice and was in a good location. Very modern with some nice features like the heated toilet seat. Also the housekeeping staff were super friendly.

Having said the good points there were some bad points. You can tell the hotel was good when it first came out but it hasn’t been very well maintained. I came with my family and we had 5 rooms. Every room had an issue. From the tap not working, phone not working, toilet seat broken, bathroom door very stiff and didnt open properly, sheets were dirty with what looked like blood stains and the main issue was the electrical fault with the iron. This occurred twice, in two seperate rooms where the iron popped and started to drip with water. And the second issue is when taking out the iron from the socket, the plug broke off leaving the wires exposed. These were just a few bad points in the rooms we had. If this happened in just one room i would assume it was just a coincidence, however in every single room there was an issue. We tried to get this rectified with the the manager, however when expressing the issues to him, he was reluctant to offer any solutions / provide any compensation to our issues. Dissapointed as I was looking forward to staying here. Would not stay again and wouldn’t recommend. Definitely not a 5 start hotel!

Disappointing Experience for a Supposed Five-Star HotelSeveral key amenities were missing, including updated appliances, a coffee machine, and even basic items like a toothbrush—surprising omissions for a five-star property.The hallway consistently smelled like food, likely due to poor kitchen ventilation. The front desk was always crowded, making check-in and inquiries frustrating.Room service was below expectations in both quality and responsiveness.I’m sharing this as a regular guest, not a hospitality expert—just someone who expected better based on the hotel’s rating.

Very satisfying stay, I booked half board and the buffet was amazing for both breakfast and dinner
