Hotel Almendra

Room was clean. It had a television. Internet was very good and reliable. Bed was basic but good for the price. Breakfast was available for an extra charge, basic continental. Parking was available for an extra charge in secure area. Close and convenient to the Ferrol starting point of the Camino Ingles.

Parking garage is not convenient insofar as need to have the desk attendant open it up for you. No elevator. Hallway is dark, need a flashlight to find the switch for the hallway light and there is a step there so it seems it is a little dangerous.

The location was good. Lots of restaurants near by and the starting point for Camino ingles.

I was given a room in the middle of the hotel with no windows for natural light or ventilation. It was dark and depressing. I also stayed during the heat wave and an electric fan would’ve been nice (there is no air conditioning in the building). I don’t think I would stay here again

Close to the train station and just a few minutes from the busy downtown area. I also liked that it had 24 hour reception service.

The bed was firm but really comfy, just how I like it. The facilities were really clean. Good host. We purchased our Camino credentials there, so we didn't have to walk all around town to get them.

When I opened the window to let in some cool air (as there's no air con), there was cigarette smoke coming in from below.

It was a great hotel from which to start our Camino Ingles route! Staff were so friendly, and even had the Compostela available for us and gave us our first stamp.

Breakfest was exceeding expectations (toasts) with coffee and fresh orange juice. Room very spacious, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was very big. Very clean place. The staff was super nice. Excellent price to standard ratio
