About

Set in the heart of this seaside town, this Galician mansion has been beautifully converted into a hotel while still maintaining its original charm. Enjoy views from the stunning glassed balcony. The interiors of the Parador Ferrol have been carefully designed to be in tune with their maritime setting. World maps and sailing motifs decorate the walls. Admire sailing instruments and an attractive boat lantern which illuminates the elegant staircase. Bedrooms are spacious with organic tones, parquet flooring and antique-style decor. You can keep up-to-date with the free Wi-Fi. Dine in the Ferrol's restaurant which serves a variety of Galician cuisine, seafood and a tempting selection of desserts. Relax in the lounges which display both a homely feel and one of luxury.

    The location was great

Maps show a different location online. I walked many blocks to wrong location. Please update your location. Also, some senior staff need training in customer service. The younger staff were responsive and friendly but some seasoned staff were not.

It was centrally located. Close to all major points of interest. Las Meninas street art, the Naval Museum and the architectural buildings were a plus!

Very helpful staff that spoke English, excellent service in the dining room for diner and breakfast, front desk staff gave excellent service. Rooms were very comfortable!!And the hotel had many sitting areas, and a game room in the library. Would highly recommend.

Love the vintage style of these Paradores. The staff was very attentive and dinner was delicious. Rooms were on the smaller side but more than enough for a one night stay.

    Didn’t eat breakfast

Good and bad. Checking in, they couldn’t find my paid reservation. Once I showed them my booking.com reference, they quickly and happily got us our rooms.

Our toliet was broken but the staff fixed it quickly

Beds were not as comfy as I had expected. It seemed like the mattress was lopsided and we kept rolling towards the middle. Restaurant was closing when we wanted to eat dinner (7-8pm) The little cafe opposite the restaurant only offered beverages

The Parador de Ferrol was a great place to start our Camino Ingles. The room was beautiful and comfortable and the location was great and the staff was friendly and helpful.

    We liked everything.

The building was beautiful and location stunning. Our view from the balcony was beautiful looking over the water. The breakfast buffet was top notch. I was happy they had a place to store our bicycles.

The dinner that we included in our stay was mediocre, not special. No kettle in the room to make tea or coffee.

    9PollyPosted on: 5-7-2025

Excellent location. Very clean and comfortable.

Staff at the front desk was not the most attentive.

    8PhilipPosted on: 5-4-2025

Used this as starting point for the Camino. Staff very helpful in getting us in after a long day of traveling. Breakfast good in the morning. Rooms were a little warm.
