Pros +
- Centrally located. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good.
- Jose and really all the staff are professional and made me feel welcome. The housekeeping staff is top notch too. The dining room is really nice and the food they serve is delicious and a terrific value. Great shower and huge tub; I’ve never seen one quite like it.
- Good comfortable room with plenty of space. Great central location with lots within easy walk. In house dining options and secure parking available.
Cons -
- Air conditioner worked but was weak and didn't cool to a temperature we liked. There was not a thermostat, just an on and off switch.
- It’s a grand old hotel but some of the furnishings seem dated. If this wasn’t the case I would expect to pay a lot more, so there is that.
- Customer service. It is unbelievable. A 4-star hotel; I was deeply disappointed by the customer service, particularly the attitude of the reception staff. One night, I realized I had forgotten to buy water, and upon discovering that the minibar in my room was empty (an oversight I wouldn't expect in a 4-star establishment), I went to the reception to request a bottle of water. To my shock, the staff informed me they had no water available, as the bar and restaurant were closed. When I pointed out that this was unacceptable for a hotel of their standard, I was met with a dismissive and rude response. The staff member told me I should have "foreseen this situation" and purchased water earlier, then directed me to find a 24-hour shop on the street. Not only was this unhelpful, but the tone and manner in which they addressed me were incredibly disrespectful. Being fluent in Spanish, I understood their words clearly, and the rudeness was apparent. Sadly, this type of behavior seems to be a recurring issue in some establishments in Spain.A 4-star hotel should prioritize guest comfort and ensure basic amenities, like water, are readily available at all times. Instead, I felt disregarded and unwelcome. This experience has left me reluctant to recommend or return to this hotel.

Location is very good because it is central. You have enough restaurants and bars around.

Bed was comfortable. Room was not small. Bathroom was also comfortable, including a decent bathtub. Close to some decent restaurants.
It's quite dated. The city is not very interesting either. Breakfast could be better. Several options but not great quality overall. Instant coffee for example.
The hotel is in a fantastic location right in the centre of Ciudad Real. It was only a short walk to the main squares, shopping and bars and restaurants. There was a very convenient car park under the hotel.Staff were very helpful and breakfast was good value as was the whole stay. An excellent night.
The swimming pool was not open and it looked as though it had not been open for a long period. This did not matter for us!
Nice hotel in a central location, there is parking outside of the hotel which is paid via a meter and there is parking at the hotel for 15 euros. Checkin was easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a nice size and very clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was good with a nice hot shower. View from our room was over looking the pool which was a nice size with sun loungers. Close by to the hotel there are plenty of bars and restaurants and it is a short walk to the city's sights.
Not really a problem for us but there are a lot of pigeons around the pool area, however, the pool was very clean.
The room was so spacious that there was even an armchair that didn't take up any needed space. The in-house restaurant on the other side of reception was very practical, with good food. So I had a slightly late lunch there, and breakfast there the next morning was also fine. The location of the hotel was relatively central.
The lighting in the room was limited, I can't remember a ceiling lamp. However, I was a guest at the end of June, when there is plenty of sun and light in Ciudad Real. The moderate soundproofing towards the corridor would be a potential minus point, but it was quiet at night. The same applies to the window side facing the street, Calle del Tinte. It had more through traffic during the day than anticipated, but was really quiet at night.
The room size was good. The breakfast was nice.
Dated decor. The bed moved everything my husband did. No tea or coffee facilities in the room.
Location was very central. The room was spacious and clean. Although the hotel and its furniture were quite old, they were well maintained. I personally liked the retro touch. Staff was really helpful.
The staff at this hotel are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Ciudad Real must be the friendliest place I have ever visited. Good parking on site for medium large cars. E10. Excellent location for access to town centre shopping.Excellent value for money
I thought the restaurant was a little disappointing. But again, but again, the staff were very friendly.
It was really easy to communicate with staff and the room was really nice and great size. It was very clean and easily accessible.
Breakfast could be more diverse for a hotel with a 4 stars, for example with some cooked/fried food like eggs and vegetables.
Room was better than expected
Breakfast. We paid 8eur each for a Buffet breakfast but it didn't have much to eat. For that price, we could have eaten better outside of the hotel.
The room itself is OK.
The receptionist said she knew I wanted a quiet room at the back but then offered me one in front. She was very confused but I eventually got a room at the back. What she did not tell: it was next to the elevator and very noisy. Also it was very hot and there is no AC in March. If you open the window, you smell the kitchen. Moreover, there is a generator downstairs at the back which creates a lot of noise all night, although on the fifth floor it is bearable. There are no international TV channels like CNN or BBC World, and there is only white bread at breakfast.
The receptionist staff is exceptional. The rooms are confortable and the area is very quiet
Very friendly and helpful staff. A nice and reasonably priced bar and restaurant.
Very bad sound proofing. Uncomfortable pillows.
Nice location, good beds, nice room
Breakfast was ok, but a bit simple
We loved the size of the room and how clean it was. It was a bit dated, but very comfortable. Underground parking was great for keeping our motorbikes secure during our stay. Swimming pool was a great bonus after a long hot day riding from Lisbon.
The price was fare for me
The breakfast wasn't very good for my expectations, and the pool was a little dirty and the water was low.
Good central location. Car and motorcycle parking at the front door free overnight but have to pay at various times of the day. The hotel does have a carpark too.
