    Pros +

    • The place was brilliant, very unusual and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine. A great overnight stop on a long journey, far better than expected.
    • Lift., staff. Cleaner. Large room. Efficient shower.
    • Charming castle with only five letting rooms. The food was excellent as were the staff.

    Cons -

    • Room heater problem. Dark room and stairwell. Basins in bathroom. No evening meal until 9pm.
    • Nothing. It was all great.
    • They only have 5 rooms. Four are split level with stairs and the bathroom downstairs. We had to change our reservation to a smaller room with narrow hard twin beds. The shower was stained with what appeared to me as black mold in the shower. This place is used mostly for events

The building is an amazing castle.

Really not advertised as a split level accommodation..... Bed room area is upstairs & toilet is on ground floor down very rickety stairs!Couldn't find the entrance to the hotel.Only cold tapas in bar no food til 8.30 p.m.

The rooms are a good size. Be mindful that you do have to go upstairs to the bedroom loft. We read the reviews so we got directions on how to enter the building. The greeting staff was very pleasant but their focus was on the restaurant and their time was split.

The walls are very thin! You walked outside and overlook a reception area. The focus of the staff is on the restaurant and reception hall. The building is not located in the central part of the city. We had to walk several blocks to find somewhere to eat.

It was reasonably priced. It was clean.

The rooms were so dark with no natural light. The woman who greeted us was not friendly or welcoming. It really is a wedding venue with a handful of rooms so hotelHospitality isn’t their priority. Breakfast was good but very modest — coffee juice and toast with jam and butter or with olive oil ham and tomato. Remote control was dead.

The food in restaurant was very good but the nice dining room wasn’t open so we had to have dinner in the bar

Staff when we arrived very off putting. Room was on two levels and uncomfortable. Bathroom and bedroom on different floors. Pictures make it look better than it is.

Wonderful staying in a castle. Professional friendly staff. Must amazing beef shank to share for dinner in onsite restaurant.

    8SilviaPosted on: 9-18-2024

Breakfast was correct. Very convenient location. Easy parking across the premises. Very interesting the way they have restored parts of the castle.

Ir was a shame there was no touristic info, brochure at the reception.

    8BerthierPosted on: 8-24-2024

Castillo muy antiguo e interesante. Very good dinner. The friendly waitress. The huge room with two living places. The fact that the owner allowed us to put the car inside of the property.

The city of Manzanares, with no restaurants around.

Located in a real castle.Small hotel, very well located in the town.

    4NeilPosted on: 7-28-2024

Full of character in an old castle. Nice, helpful staff.

Quirky, to the limit. Room had small living area and shower/wc/washbasin on ground floor with the bedroom space above on a sort of enclosed balcony. The floor creaked so much that neither of us could go downstairs to the bathroom during the night without waking the other up. Kitchen only opened for an evening meal at 9 pm and we were charged a ridiculous price for the cold food and drinks served to us earlier.

    So quirky and unusual

Our aircon broke down during the night - we opened windows - not much of a problem!

    6ChrisPosted on: 6-30-2024

Location was very good and street parking was easy. There was a nice outside seating area. The building had character and the staff were helpful. A lovely big bed. I had a nice meal.

The pillow was a long brick. The room was in the eaves and hot, it was not a particularly hot night. The shower was useless, little flow or hot water.

Rustic old feelCreaky floors Very good restaurantCastle feel. Big courtyardFortifiedBig heavy castle doors to stop intruders.

The stair light was not always on.

Great place very old in the town… quirky.. lots wines by the glass to try… food great…..

    7AngelaPosted on: 6-11-2024

We loved the staff and especially the lady who served us wine and tapas Sunday afternoon as she took care and time to talk to us

I didn't like the stairs in the room as we have mobility issues and didn't feel safe on them and they were not in the description on line. Also breakfast was not worth having and not easy to understand as there was no menu

    3DorritPosted on: 6-3-2024

Easy to get to from the motor way and easy to park

It was dark and not very clean. One could see that they have had wedding party the day before and it was not cleaned up after. It the room there was a used towel behind the door
