The hotel was beautiful and has a gorgeous pool. There is a small shopping and restaurant area a few blocks from the hotel, but the hotel food options were tasty and reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hot tub (90F) was cooler than we’re used to in the US (105 F), a minor issue.

Breakfast. On walk distance to the beautiful beach. The meat in the restaurant was delicious.

We were room only basis which suited our needs, staff were very friendly and hotel is beautiful.

We ordered room service on our first night and the Patas Frites were cold, we understand the time scale of getting the food from the kitchen to our room but still, these were very disappointing.

There is a strong chlorine smell in this hotel. Also in the bedding, which is not nice and soft. The mattress comfort is good.

There is a chlorine smell throughout the hotel. Which is also the case for the stiff bedding and the water coming out of the shower.

Superb hotel, our second time here and we’ll definitely be back again! The hotel is luxurious while also being family friendly, which is not easy to achieve. Love the buffet breakfast, rooms, pool, and chiringuito, as well as the lovely staff. Wish our stay could have been longer!

Another wonderful stay and we love this hotel.Marvellous, efficient, friendly and helpful staff.Lovely pool and garden area to relax in and nice external pool bar / eating area. Beautiful beach very short walk away via boardwalk.

Basically all was good for us Not very keen on the separate Serena beach bar facility and the service there

We felt very comfortable here. Spacious room, great buffet for breakfast and dinner. Small details are thought thru. Will definitely come back.

We prefer to go to bed early, but evening show with live music was disturbing.

We arrived at the hotel and asked about the restaurant opening times, and were assured that one was open until 1:00. When we returned, around midnight, they said that the information was wrong, that we would only have room service.The room service tdid not answer the phone.We went to reception five times to finally find the employee.The employee said that the dishes could take 45 minutes, to which we asked what would be the quickest, although it was not our option, we accepted the dishes that were supposed to take 10-15 minutes, however, we waited more than 45 minutes.When they brought us the food and a bottle of wine, they did not bring a corkscrew, we waited 15 minutes for the wine, and as it did not come, we ate without any drink because the minibar was empty.When we finished our meal and around 3:00 the employee knocked on the door to say that there was no corkscrew and we returned the wine.We finally went to bed, thinking that we were going to sleep. At around 3:30 we were woken up by the waiter who brought a bottle of wine with the cork pushed inside and said that we had to pay for it.Since the goal was to sleep, we signed the receipt and left the bottle and went to bed.At around 8:00, after we had slept for about 3 hours, a maid enter into the room talking, without any explanation!!!We went to complain to reception and said that we wanted to leave the hotel.After some impasse, the Hotel Manager apologized and accepted the cancellation, promising a full refund.To complete the story, when we were getting dressed to leave the hotel, another maid came into the room, and even though she saw my wife naked, she started talking and didn't want to leave the room!We left the hotel, and the next day we received a message saying that they would not be refunding us!

Beachfront hotel to one of the most amazing beaches of spain. Sea views from our room. Staff absolutely great and attentive to all your requests and needs, food at breakfast and dinner buffet spectacular caters for all tastes 5 star. Pool lovely, beach top.

We liked everything

Another marvellous stay at Barrosa Palace for a special family group visit. We’ve stayed before and there have been some changes and improvements since and mostly all for the better. Fantastic breakfast experience each morning. Lovely pool/garden area and location adjacent to beautiful beach. All of the staff encountered were wonderful - very pleasant, helpful, efficient and charming.

Basically no complaints.By way of feedback - the only slightly negative comment would be associated with the redeveloped beach ‘chiringuito’ facility ‘Serena’.We personally were not too impressed compared with before. Maybe trying to a bit too upmarket for our taste and the staff there were not as efficient and pleasant as in the main hotel and slow service.Didn’t have any real effect on our overall stay though and the many positives certainly outweighed this very slight negative.

Fantastic hotel in a great location! Extremely clean, great rooms, attentive staff, nice pool & spa facilities, well equipped gym. The breakfast buffet each morning was delicious, and the one night we ate dinner it was tasty. Would recommend!

Hidden gem. I have never been as far round the coast as Chiclana - but the whole resort was genuine 5star set up (albeit a little quiet- but it is early May). The hotel pool area was excellent & the proximity to the beach ( which was great) was excellent
