Pros +
- The facilities were very clean and food was good.
- Location and beach restaurant.
- Great stay! Amazing service, great food! Amazing location, beautiful beaches!
Cons -
- There are hidden costs that were not clear to me at the reservation. Bevereages including water need to be paid for dinner. The indoor swimming pools that are shown in the hotel fotos are available at a cost of 25 euros per day and Per person. That means that the actual price for half pension and hotel is more 100 to 130 euros per 2 nights if you want to use the jndoor pool durjng the winter.
- No parking was available at check in. You have to pay to use the room safe. No room service. No internal lock on the door. One dinner restaurant for entire hotel thus long lines. Food was mediocre. Hotel entertainment goes late which is fine if you are enjoying but not if you want to sleep before midnight. Rooms are very expensive given all of the above at over €500 per night.
- Indoor pool needs service; kids hurt themselves with the tiles.

All food, facilities, the beach, it was all great!
Location is second to none. Perfect beach, clean with powder like sand. Great place to go with small children, many activities for children and adults. Fantastic evening performances. Great food.
It could be great if the bathroom has proper doors not glass one. For me it was embarrassing to use bathroom.
the location the pools the restaurant was quite good
The place is run like a low-cost establishment, which is a shame given its great potential. The unnecessary rules and fees—like charging €3 for the safe per day or making guests pay for certain pastries while others are free—only frustrate customers. When you complain, the response is always, 'This is how we’ve done it for the last 30 years.' Well, maybe it’s time to change. Removing these outdated, penny-pinching policies would drastically improve the guest experience and help the business stand out for the right reasons
Location is great, right on the beach. The food was fresh and good quality. The bedroom was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful.
When we arrived the man checking us in was very abrupt. Both of the outside pools were closed, one of which had construction work going on and the pool area outside our balcony was unusable, no laybeds and paving stones lifted. When we complained to reception we were told that the pools are closed during the winter season. We were visiting in late March and the weather was hot and sunny. When I returned home I checked the booking.com site and you had to search the details to find a part which said the pools were seasonal, this wasn't in an obvious place. Not only were the pools shut, but construction work was taking place, it certainly wasn't a relaxing environment. There were no cushions on the outside sofa areas, so they couldn't be used, which was unnecessary. The toilet door is made of glass, there is no solid door between the bedroom and the toilet, we did not like this lack of privacy. The cocktails were pre-made and just sickly syrup mixes. The bar area in the evenings was overcrowded, with not enough seating for everyone and the bar was always four deep with people queuing to get drinks, there was no waiter service and you just had to wait if you wanted a drink. On the day we checked out, we were told we had to leave our room by 11am, when we returned from breakfast at 10.30 to vacate the room, we had already been locked out!
The staff were very friendly & no matter how busy always smiled. Our waitress Veronica was exceptional in her duties. (worthy of 5/5 stars). The food was exceptional but I did miss having fresh prawns on the menu.We requested a room change & this was dealt with efficiently. The golf course was a short walk away but there was also hotel transport, if requested, to the course.
A topper on the mattress. No prawns on the menu. Our ice bucket leaked by the table & caused a potential Health & Safety issue for slipping on the floor. A yellow hazard warning was erected but the water remained on the floor, my complaint to Management was not followed up by them which was very poor because had an accident occurred the hotel would have been culpable. In 50 years of travel we've never had to pay to use the bedroom safe which was 3 euros a day!
Location is great. Right on beach. Very unspoiled. Hotel well laid out and large. Room ok. Asked for deluxe and paid but room seemed average. Breakfast was fine except both mornings no eggs except hard boiled Long wait for hot eggs! Good choice on cold food and breads etc. fruit plentiful. Dinner asked for but informed we had to buy for two nights ?Why ?
Asked for clean blanket on bed But dirty one out back on. Terrible pillows. Dirty curtains Balcony chairs old and worn.
Very clean, modern and spacious hotel located beside the amazing La Barrossa Beach and great golf courses. Buffet food was exceptional and our waitress Juani couldn't have been more helpful.
Very busy Fri/Sat nights when large extended families take over and you have to queue for everything. No issues other nights.
Fantastic location with direct access to the beautiful La Barrosa Beach.Buffets for breakfast and dinner offer a wide choice. The food was excellent.
Location was beautiful, the resort was very clean and well maintained, the staff was friendly. Food was okay, good variety.
Many of the staff could not speak/ understand English. The common areas were very cold. A lot of noise from the lobby concerts could be heard in our room which carried on until late (23h00). Hot water kettle would have been very convenient. There was an extra charge for the indoor pool, €24 per person for only 1h30 is an abuse, since the outdoor pools were already closed for the winter season. The children were only allowed between 13h00 and 16h00 which was very inconvenient, considering that the check-in was at 15h00 and the check-out at 11h00.We booked the place mainly for our 8yo daughter to be able to have some fun at the pool but unfortunately it wasn't the case. This resulted in us moving to another resort next door two days after, where kids were truly welcome and there was no restrictions on pool time access.
Very well located in the middle of a view golf courses right at the beach. Restaurant typical hotel style, but food and variety very good. Just nearby is a little shopping area as well.
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel - especially the kindness of the staff (the cleaning staff were always particularly helpful and friendly) and the food at the buffet - which is one of the best ones I've seen in years - and I've stayed in many hotels! The hotel is beautiful (I can imagine how magnificent it might have been when they opened it, although sadly, it seems they're not investing enough resources to maintain it this way. I hope they start doing something to make a significant change because it would be a pity to let such a nice hotel slowly die down). The pool areas are lovely, and the beach is amazing. The evening entertainment is very enjoyable and the activities during the day are very fun. Thank you!
Upon arrival, the sheets of my bed had yellow stains. That shouldn't happen in a 4 stars hotel. The cleaning ladies were extremely kind, professional and helpful, and they changed the sheets - twice! Because the new ones had even more stains!! I know this is not their fault, and it's a shame - and unproductive - that they have to work in the same room twice. It's the hotel's responsibility to invest in new sheets and in more effective quality control (it also happens with the cleanliness of the glasses and cutleries at the restaurant, e.g: I had to go through at least 4 glasses before finding one in acceptable condition). The sofa in my bedroom also had stains (like most sofas in the lobby, not very inviting to sit on). Although I understand it's not possible to clean them between guests (otherwise the sofa would be wet), it's very unpleasant to find stains like that when entering a room - which was actually very clean otherwise. It would be great if the hotel management could do something about this (removable sofa covers?) because having stains on the bed and the sofa give a terrible impression and it's not very welcoming. To highlight again that the cleaning ladies were very attentive and they even covered with a sheet - in a very effective and neat way - the sofa so I could use it.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Cristina at the front desk was amazing! The food was good, great presentation. The room was very nice and housekeeping staff amazing
We could have used an extra pillow. The pillows were very flat.We didn't like how at breakfast and lunch we were able to have juice, water, anything. But at dinner we were made to purchase a small bottle of water that didn't fill our 3 glasses. Why not make water available? It comes filtered from the wall in the hallway. We were shocked that there were so many young kids. We were not traveling with kids and felt over-run. Maybe on website state....there are a lot of kids at this family friendly resort. When not traveling with kids, having screaming kids all over the place.....too much. Or have dinner kid free from 7:30 - 8:00pm, and definitely have an adult only pool.
Everything. The access to the beach, the cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff.
The coffee and the orange juice.
The room was big, very clean and the area of the hotel where I slept was extremely quiet. Moreover, the staff was polite and friendly. Last but not least, the direct access to the beach La Barrosa was an added plus. I would also like to mention the wide range of food available at the buffet: It was beyond my expectation.
Fantastic facilities for families with children. Huge selection at breakfast. Friendly staff.
The safe provided in the bedrooms, they don’t explain that you need a key and that you need to pay to use it, first hotel ever where I had to pay extra to use a safe, and after all that our safe didn’t work. I would also expect a bath robe and coffee making facilities in the room.
- high standard of food and lots of choice- friendly staff- Good level of entertainment and activities for kids and adults- easy access to good beach
- on site parking is incredibly expensive- minor issue but glasses were not cleaned properly. Had to pick up 5 or 6 every time before finding one that was relatively clean.
Food quality, quantity and variety of choices was awesome! But desserts were just ok. Not bad either, but mostly average.
Deserts were just average, while the rest of food was excellent. A pity some icecreams, sandwiches and sweets around were not included in the "all inclusive" scheme. Can you believe it?
