Pros +
- Breakfast was great, lots on offer, pool area really good too , suitable for young kids . Decor was also really lovely
- Beautiful property. Location was great. Maria in entertainment was fantastic. Carlos in guest services was so helpful and kind. The woman that checked is in was great too. So sorry I forgot to write her name down.
- Bed was very big and comfortable. Room with space and you can ask via app different amenities delivered in 5 mins to your room. Good breakfast.
Cons -
- The tiles around the pool and where the sunbeds were could have done with a clean, a lot of mud
- The lobby bar was not great. Sat for over 10 minutes waiting to order food/drinks. We had to ask them to come to us. Then he forgot to put one of the food items we ordered so never got it. Later when we stopped in to get a cappuccino we were told that they don’t have milk or cream so not allowed to make it. Then tried to order cocktails and the first thing they said was you have to pay. Yes, we already know that because we are staying in the level and not all inclusive. But was quite rude and didn’t want to help us. We ordered two limoncello’s…paid then left. Was quite disappointing. Everywhere else was good.
- Dinner had very limited options, I was expecting way more considering the price paid. Staff was in general very rude and disorganized, we waited more than 20min in the Bar just for them to clean the tables and order a burger (it happened 3 times). Sometimes I would need to stand up and go there to order. Very poor, considering you pay €15 for a sandwich and more than €200 per night. For the level of the hotel, the service should be improved. Considering prices of other hotels close, I do not recommend Meliã.

Breakfast was very good, dinner was more based on quantity than quality!
Reception services was very unaware of basic things!
Hotel looks great, beautiful hall and lobby, huge restaurant with an amazing breakfast.Staff was friendly
Was expecting more from the spa area.Exterior pools were great, there’s a huge pool and an adult only pool for quiet and serenity, but on the other hand the spa area is just a small round pool. There are some massages you can get with an extra cost, but that’s it.
Tortícolis
Placement of toilet roll was done by someone who had never used a toilet, at the back and above head height. Ridiculous
The location of the hotel is great. There are several restaurants in a very close location and it is just a few meters from the beach. Very interesting plants outside. The interior decoration is pleasant and the room is very spacious. Large bed with pillows of different types. Very quiet room on the 4th floor. Breakfast with varied products. It is better to go for breakfast at 8am or there will be a crowd... Swimming pool for over 16s away from the children's pool.
The pool area, bar and restaurant were all wonderful. The entertainment staff were wonderful and were amazing with the kids.
A few of the bar staff were rude but we didn’t let that ruin what was a fantastic stay.
Excelente choice of breakfast & dinner and great quality was great. All staff were so friendly and the entertainment staff were amazing. Everyone made us feel so welcome!
Nothing… loved it all.
The staff were amazing, really helpful. Bedrooms were lovely and spacious.
I had 3 rooms booked for me and my family - all rooms were lovely, clean and great sea views. A few of us are vegan and the staff were amazing helping us each meal - the chef would come out and show us which options were vegan friendly for us. The restaurant staff were brilliant. The manager was lovely as well, very helpful when we were organising a little birthday lunch for my daughter's 1st birthday! All the staff were great - we will be back!!
The air con in one of the rooms wasn't working very well, it did take a few days for them to resolve the issue.
The swimming pool, activities for kids, many wellness activities. Very close to the beach. Nice temperature day and night. The room terrace had a nice view.
the room was dated and cracks on some tiles in te toilet. The room could be more spacious.
Great location at the end of the beach. Breakfast was nice, but far from excellent. Adult pool area was awesome and also the level lounge which was superior. Kindly agreed for late check (14:00) out on our last day
Food quality at dinners especially vegetarian options. Vegetables always look like they are cut from yesterday.. all the food very greasy and fatty.. quality need to improve dramatically for this class of hotel. Check in person was pushing us to add the extra meals and also the level club, which is an exclusive club inside the hotel. We felt like it'sgoing to be a second grade guests experience and eventually decided to pay for the upgraded room and level club. Additional 50 Euro per night. Also we didn't get the room we have booked (booked king size bed) and got twin beds.. after arguing about it the manager eventually offered to put a bed topper to make it like king size.. later that day they did, butThe next day the cleaner took it away ? after we notified they put it again, but next morning it disappeared again?!?! It was already night time so we ended up on 2 mattress, very much upset.
Beach, animators, night receptionist, view
Breakfast - quality disappointed (not a lot of fresh and homemade options)
Amazing area, hotel staff efficient and super choice of food. Beds comfortable and would certainly return
On 2 occasions, cleaners just walked into our room without knocking or calling. Very bad.Food was nice, but not kept hot enough. Luke warm at best.Hotel is going through a much needed makeover. Looking a bit tired, but perfectly adequate and clean. A little noise from workmen, but acceptable level
Beautiful hotel, great location, lovely staff and great outside pool and bar
Well organised not too big so felt that you could get round everywhere. We really enjoyed our upgrade to The Level which made our holiday extra special
Nothing really, but one of the reception team Jose wasn’t unfriendly, but wasn’t very helpful. He anticipation that we knew where everything was and we didn’t. We had an issue with the room safe he wasn’t particularly helpful to get it sorted, but on asking another member of the reception team it was sorted within five minutes, he could do with some training
Large pool and pool area. Direct access to the beach.Good size room and bathroom.
The food was bad, so bad I got sick... there was really nothing I can say it was reasonable. The room had a musty smell, we had to keep the windows open.

I tried to change dates 6 months in advance. I made a mistake when I made the booking and realized the mistake less than an 1 hour later. I called them so that I could change dates and they wouldn’t do it. Called them many times and they said they would look into it but NEVER did. Really disappointed with this inflexibility. I would never go to this place again
No much
Came to change dates for summer vacation. Spoke to someone that I had emailed before. Promise to change dates and NEVER did. Very disappointed
