Puerto Antilla Grand Hotel

The pool area and beach were nice. The buffet breakfast we purchased with the room was good, and the reception staff were nice.

No food service after 11 pm. We arrived late from the airport, and they had no food service. We went to get a drink and waited 5-10 minutes before I was asked if I wanted something. Then the bartender couldn't understand English and talked negatively to another customer in Spanish about me not conversing with him in Spanish. All I wanted to know was what kind of beer they had on tap. My Spanish is not great, but I understand a lot more than I speak. He was rude and not very friendly. I left my wife and daughter at the bar because I did not want to make a scene. The indoor pool and hot tub are only accessible for a fee if you make a Spa booking - this is ridiculous!!!

We loved how family-friendly the resort was as well as the beautiful lush grounds, proximity to the beach, and the option for all-inclusive. The kids club and playground area were a plus for us. The rooms were also comfortable and well-appointed with a great shower/bath combo.

I wish there were some more snack options in between lunch and dinner. Although there were multiple areas for drinks, snacks were super limited, which meant we had to go off property to a grocery store. The buffet options were lovely but items like icecream were available for children to dig their hands in. Not sanitary, unfortunately. Also, the kiddie pool could use some love. The filters were not on and the still water seemed to get a bit unclean.

The price. I feel like we were robbed. Soo expensive, and I really don’t think all the people mostly with small children payed what we did. Ridiculous!!!

too busy, also, no cushion (at all!) on sunbeds around the pool, just the plastic bases of the sunbeds. Made us use the beach on most days instead

Beautiful family hotel, the facilities were spotless. Our group had big comfortable rooms. The hotel has of activities for kids and adults. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and had a huge variety of options for all kinds of tastes and diets. However, their best asset is their personnel. Every single person was absolutely courteous and accommodating at every moment. I would 100% come back.

One of our dinners at the hotel was kind of bland, but the waiter was responsive to our comment and we were not charged for the dish in question.

Breakfast and food at the dinner was great, big variety of choice, outdoor pool was nice. Booking sauna was a bit difficult. Staff at the reception was very kind and helpful.

Room was not cleaned well

Loved everything about the hotel, location, staff and room. The view was amazing.

The only thing we could say is the coffee machines in the mornings were too few and we had to queue for ages. Other than that no complaints!

Great rooms and swimming pools. Outside areas with a lot of shade provided by trees. Food is very good, quality and diversity. The hotel is great in terms of infrastucture and staff.

Animation programme is not extensive, which is ok. But it could be better at night, with some traditional shows and some music/dances to involve the guests. Hotel could have beach ammenities for guests, such as sunbeds and umbrellas.

It’s an ok hotel, but it’s way overcrowded!! Non-stop activity from 10AM to 12 AM. If that’s the kind of vacation you like then it’s perfect. The hotel is huge and has around 1000 bedrooms

The constant noise and people. The arrogance of the employees.

Lovely big family room, excellent buffet breakfast and dinner and large fun pool area. In a great location by the beach and plenty of bars and restaurants.

Pool was incredible and the animation by the pool as well.The room was ok for two and a baby.Very spacious hotel with a lots of shades outside.

For us the food could be better.The meat was not totally grilled (it was a challenge to pick up the less raw for our child).The deserts also could be better.The parking was very expensive! (18€/day)

The hotel is nice and the pools are really big and beautiful

When you pay 500 per night you except the gym to be open before 9 am.Also you expect to get un umbrella without worrying of being in a rush after having breakfast.There is nobody in the entrance to help you with the luggage. Before anyone say it. I’ll do it, the hotel is not 5 star so maybe these are the kind of services for a 4 star hotel regardless of having paid such price. Nowadays prices are rising up and we keep paying for them anytime so is it fair to expect something better accordingly to the price you’ve paid for?

The noise coming from the hotel opposite. Avoid a room with a view of the road if possible.

The schedule of the gym and inside pool

Great resort! The facilities on the property are great. The staff are absolutely incredible, they are super efficient and very friendly. The pool is amazing and quite big considering how busy it gets. We chose the room with the pool and sea view which is best located for a great view of the sunset. We also booked the full board option which is great option as the meals are quite expensive.

The WiFi is a hit and miss and all channels are in Spanish or Portuguese. If you opt in for the full board, just remember it’s only inclusive of everything during bfast, lunch and dinner. Any other drinks, coffee, snacks etc, during the day is for your expense.

We had to change room as it smelt of tobacco - the gym was closed despite the fact it was advertised as open..

It's really a wonderful hotel. Very beautiful, big, clean, well decorated. The pool area is the best. Feels like you're in the Caribbean. The beach is right in front, also very beautiful. The service is very good. The only thing negative, is the quality of the food, the variety and the space where the meals are served - very small for the size of the hotel, which creat crowds, noise and lines.
