Ama Islantilla Resort

Nice location in quiet area with a beautiful view from our balcony. Rooms were clean and staff was courteous and professional.

The bathroom was very oddly laid out, with the toilet in the shower and few surfaces to put anything on. It was also difficult to get out of the shower if someone else was in the bathroom. Looked great, but wasn't functional.Breakfast was a bit pricey.

Very good stay.Professional staff, all services promptly available with no waiting queues.Train to the beach works quite nice.No stress to get sun lounger in the pools.Parking just bellow the apartment.

Nothing relevant. Only two small observations :- Train too smoky : passengers too exposed to escape smoke,- Thematic dinners did not included Portuguese food (with a lot of Portuguese clients)

The staff, the cleanness and spacious facilities.The pool and its surroundings are very good too. The price was excellent for what we got.

The spa.

To be honest, we never saw the rooms as we quickly left after pulling in. There was a huge bus unloading loud screaming tourists . There was no place to park while checking in. Two of the staff members did not speak any English. I understand we’re in Spain and do our best to try and speak the language, but this is an international resort and basic English is usually spoken at such places.

No parking when checking in, dark uninviting lobby, bus loads of tourists, unhelpful staff.

Unusually big and nicely furnished rooms. Must have been recently renovated in a cool, modern style. Extremely cool bathroom in cement grey and with white objects. the bed was huge and most comfortable . we had our own balcony / terrace with pool views. the breakfast was fine , great service and friendly staff. Enjoyed the train ride to the beach and proximity to the golf course and Hilton's Terrazza Restaurant and bar. Pool was still too cold , but tempting. Nice size. Free parking underground - a real treat!

The buffet dinner was a bit uninspired , but still good value for money, if you don't mind half heated food. Reception staff could have been a bit more friendly, but it was easter week and extremely busy. The bathroom needs taking care of the edges in the shower and closet. Overall no reason to complain - we would return anytime.But you depend on a car or the hotel restaurant in the evenings, as there is no alternatives in the neighbourhood.

Perfect place to relax. Has pools, spa with saunas, a special cold pool, jacuzzi, breakfast with a good variability and quality of food.

All staff amazing. 5 star reception and bar staff. Extremely helpful and nice. We were 18 people for my mothers birthday and they made our experience the best possible, by helping us in many diferent ways. All small gestures were much apreciated. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful appartments with everything you could need. Home from home!The bedrooms were lovely and there is a very large and comfortable lounge area and a very well equipped kitchen and laundry room which we found really practical for our stay.

The check in experience seemed strangely complicated with the hotel system not recognising our NIEs. The first and only time we have had an issue with this travelling in Spain.The staff tried hard to resolve it but it took quite a time.

Some of the Staff was a bit rude. Chef of the buffet was not in a good mood. Food was like a canteen. OK. We tried the a la carte restaurant and service was really slow, tho there was only 4 customers in addition to us. Bartender was in a bad mood. After being seated for 30min or more we were told that kitchen is not open today due to a communication issue. We were sent to the canteen buffet 30 minutes before its closure. Staff in the canteen were eating at the same time. Pools were cold. In the breakfast staff were much more friendly. However we think that staff was just tired and exhausted, that was the impression. Hotel has no personality, its very plain vanilla a bit clinical, misses some coziness.

A nice big apartment, good heating and a comfy bed.

Parking on the road. Unable to use the spa, too busy.

Staff didn’t bother to give us any info or wifi code .

Indoor pool wasn’t ready till our second day and was cold. No restaurants available walking distance.

Location was good and the apt was spacious. Female staff were friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was poor. The hot buffet was cold. The choice was very poor. I asked form an omelette and they said they couldn't make it. For 4* you would expect better. The bacon was like leather! At lunch time we ordered club sandwiches and they came out with dead lettuce and the offcuts of the chicken. Very poor. Some of the male staff were very rude and had very poor english. We tried to book spa treatments before we arrived but the website would not allow it. When we arrived they were all booked out. We will not be returning.

Staff were great. Heavy rain during our stay. But lots to do on site. Off site. Breakfast very good. Beds nice. Fast wifi to be able to work.

No Netflix on TV. It was rainy, would have been nice to watch via smart TV. The inside pool booking and paying seemed complicated. Particularly out of season.

Comfortable beds, good to have access to the spa, very friendly and professional staff. Breakfast was nice.

Location isn't great, unless you like golf, in which case you would love it! We drove over to beaches in the Algarve which were nicer, and the weather was better there...

spacious apartments and nice swimingpool. transport to the beach provided by the hotel.Quiet- more for pensionist than a for a family.1 tablet for dishwasher included. dishwasher available in the apartment.

No playground for the kids- no entertiment or place to play.Very limited choice of warm dishes for the dinner. Very limited kitchen equipment.

Location good and apartment was big. Car parking excellent.

The location is good, considering that there is a free transport to go to the beach, so basically we didn't use our car during our stay which was great.The buffet at every meal was complete and diverse, with enough choice for adults and kids.

The room size,the views and the free train ride to the beach.

The hotel was overcrowded.The breakfast wasn’t totally fresh:we experienced hard bread and moldy cheese.The spa need some refurbishing and it’s not big enough for that many people.There are queues for everything.

Nice location, calm neighborhood, comfortable and spacious accommodation, quality breakfast, family friendly. Free parking for car. There is a small train shuttle to and back islantilla center every 30m.

A lady visibly mad for being left alone at the pool bar service was extremely rude, at some point shouting that in spain we should speak Spanish. to be serviced. An obvious outlier, because all the personnel we met was very warm nice and professional. Not a big deal, but boring enough to deserve an alert.

The mini train to the beach is very convenient to have. Also, the hotel-exclusive beach beds come in very handy. Staff is always extremely nice and dilligent.

There could be a slightly earlier train to the beach and the beach beds could be available until a bit later - probably until 19:00 or 20:00. But this is just nitpicking :)
