Honestly the cleaning and the furniture condition was so bad not expected for Sofitel level

Room was just minimum OK level for a 5-star and for the priceThe car valet was efficient and helpful

seats / tables in 2 restaurants (breakfast area and pool) are dirty soiled and too old to be in a 5-star hotelRequests for hard pillows was not fulfilled1 bathrobe for 2 peoplehalf liter of filtered drinking water per person especially when you notice it at night when you need to take your medicinealthough requested a non-smoking room the only available was a smoking - I had to wait although I previously indicated my arrival time which is within hotel check-in policy

My recent 4-night stay fell well below expectations for a hotel of this caliber, largely due to poor communication and ongoing disruptions that were never disclosed at booking. The main pool was unavailable for the duration of our stay, with no prior notice. Significant construction noise continued until 10:20 pm, forcing a room change on our second night. Two of the four restaurants were also under construction, and during dinner one evening we experienced extremely strong fumes that caused eye irritation and nausea, making it impossible to remain in the restaurant. Despite raising this as a potential health concern, it was dismissed as “paint fumes,” with no urgency or meaningful response. Requests to relocate to another hotel were refused. Basic amenities were also lacking — with no ice machines available, ice had to be ordered through room service with a wait time of up to 40 minutes. While I did eventually secure a complimentary late checkout after firm negotiation, it did little to offset the overall experience. Poor transparency and inadequate handling of guest concerns, especially during a holiday period, made this stay deeply disappointing.

Attentive and courteous staff. Clean facilities. They provided us with a free upgrade because it was our 2- year anniversary.

There was constant noise of works in the nearby room, also alarm went iff at night and wr had calls from the reception past 1am. Overall a bad experience

Staff Reply is very late.One of the rooms had stinky smell.The phone in the room no one is replying except after long time

The bed was not comfortable. The mattress need to be changed

I’m really disappointed that I still haven’t received my refund.This experience makes me reconsider booking in the future through Booking.com and Sofitel Hotel.The process has already taken more than five days for something that should be very simple.

Very bad and not recommended

I stayed in the imperial suit. The bathroom did not have shataf, SHOWER GEL, Not only that, no hot water in the shower.The light in the kitchen wasn’t working,the lights sensors were acting crazy on and off, no tissue boxes except one in the room. The room wasn’t cleaned properly as well since we kept finding stuff and left overs from the previous guest. When we checked out and informed the stuff about our experience, she said ‘Sorry we hope it doesn’t happen again in your next visit ’ which meant that they don’t care at all in my opinion.the valet is not managed properly.. they almost lost our car keys and it took us 30 mins to get.

The water clogged in the toilet washbasin, The TV was automatically getting switched on in the night even after switching it off again and again and my parents couldn't sleep properly. The window glass was not clean. AC was not effective.

Gym, swimming pool and breakfast

Furniture is old and depressing. The bed in the first room i got was stinky and i found hairs in the bathroom and some dust all over the room. Overall cleanliness is very disappointing. AC in the bedroom was not working the first day. There’s a smoking detector right above the bed with constantly flashing lights that might drive you insane at night while trying to sleep. Tried the in-room dining once (Arabic grill) and absolutely hated it (food was cold and bland). I don’t how this hotel is allowed to be 5-Star, or carry the name Sofitel, or charge these rates! Just run away there are many better options. Don’t be fooled by the ratings and the pictures.

The receptionist was very welcoming and nice. Room size with the sea view is amazing. Breakfast was great.

Valet wasn’t helpful at all. I parked and waited then went to them they still speaking & laughing with each other. I asked if they will take the car or no? Then with bad attitude responded to me also there was another car waiting and horn. The Trolley/ room service team took 2 hr and half to bring my luggage. I called many times. if I didn’t went down my stuff will remain in the lobby while telling me for 2hrs that my luggage own!?

Got a spacious room with a nice sea view as we requested.Breakfast was good.

Pool was clean but the water was freezing cold, was not set to room temperature.

Great luxury hotel, lots of shiny marble, staff are extremely attentive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.The hotel buffet is delicious but on the expensive side. If you go around to the back of the hotel you'll find a vibrant neighborhood with restaurants, supermarkets, and lots of textile shops. I had a good dinner at Omaash African restaurant for about US$6.

bad service, I called the reception to bring my car from my room to take more than 45 minutes. Also, no one else the phone

Location and friendliness of the staff, breakfast was amazing. Quick responsiveness of the staff to change our room, as the AC in our room did not work at night.

Dust was on remote, TV and radio.Spoon was used from previous visitor and not cleaned.Small dust and hair in the cups near the coffee machine.

Valet service was too slow, they need to recruit more staff. I had to wait for around 10 mins every time.
