Parrotel Lagoon Resort

Hotel is below expectations. Was rated 5 star clearly it isn't. Beautiful structure unfortunately it needs massive renovation from basic bedding, towels , furnitures etc. Staff are friendly especially room cleaner but owner need to do some work to keep the hotel up to standard. There is not much activity at the site not sure if it is due to the time of the year . Have to spend much time out not to be bored.

I think the hotel needs to be refurbished, some areas need a deep clean. The lifts were very grubby.

Staff was not helpful to accommodate my child. Also facilities were very dated, however, rhe food in the inclusive restaurant was terrible. Children food was uncooked at times causing symonella poisoning if not checked.

No good election The rooms had very old furniture, beds not comfortable and so old. The outside is very nice I am sure you can do better in the rooms too because it’s not nice to sleep in a smelly room. Was very disappointed!

I would say that I didn't like anything at all the photos here on booking are something else and doesn't relate to the reality at all here, the only thing that I liked the housekeeping guy his name is Youssef he was really keen about cleaning the room and make it in a good condition. And I would say that the view was great from our room.

Our experience at this property was deeply disappointing from the moment we stepped inside. The building itself barely resembles a hotel and looks more like a run-down motel.The issues began immediately after check-in when we entered our assigned room. The toilet was filthy and had not been cleaned, making the room completely uninhabitable. We called the manager to address the issue, and while he attempted to assist us by offering a room change, it quickly became apparent that the overall cleanliness of the hotel was severely lacking.Throughout our stay, we noticed that the hotel's hygiene standards were unacceptable. The entire property felt neglected, and it was clear that management does not prioritize maintaining a clean or welcoming environment for guests.Unfortunately, this was far from the experience we expected, and it left us deeply dissatisfied. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable or pleasant stay.

The whole thing was amazing The staff at exceptional they really do make sure your stay is of a very high standard.Even the taxi desk at the front did us amazing deals and was available all times of the day.

I would have to say the food was disappointing I ate out a lot The ques were a little long at times but I didn’t like the food.They allowed sun beds to be saved and with only one heated pool that shouldn’t be allowed as you never get a place and going in the winter we went in Jan the weather was amazing but the other pools were to cold for the kids

The best thing about this hotel and the reason we return time and time again is the staff they are amazing go above and beyond are always polite and make you feel welcome, we have been to this hotel 5 times this year so don't believe some of the bad reviews I think they are just far to picky and expect 5* when they have realistically paid for 3*The beds are soooo comfortable and the pillows are the best IV ever slept on I need to get these for home ?Food is not 5* Michelin but you won't starve there is always something to eat so the reviews about absolutely nothing to eat are over exaggerated to say the leastPools are clean and well maintained and one is heated which you do need in the cooler monthsKariem (gym) Ali (snack bar) tamir (restaurant) Ahmed (lobby bar) young Mohammad (life guard) Omar (restaurant manager) islam (reception/hotel manager) Ibrahim (snack bar) these few in particular stand out every time we stay they are always smiling & nothing is ever to much trouble ❤️

Bathrooms really do need updating they do let the rooms down Spoons need putting in the rooms so you can make a cup of tea or coffeeMosquitos are quite bad so take plenty of spray and wrist bands but it is Egypt so these are not only at this hotel just keep patio doors closed and spray the rooms

Honestly, I expected the worst, but was pleasantly surprised. The condition of the rooms is very good, with the exception of the bathrooms, which are a bit worn out. The staff is friendly, responsive, and responds quickly to requests.The animation is not intrusive, as in some hotels. As for the food, it is quite acceptable. No frills, but you will not go hungry. In general, the quality matches the price.

For me, who planned my vacation independently without tour operators, because the cost was very small, there is basically nothing to complain about.

Price was excellent, ignoring the star rating claim, it was value for money.

Very old, decore needs updating, especially bathroom, Food was terrible, cleanliness was mixed bag, for 2 days the cleaners had made the bed inside out. Floor didn't seem to get cleaned,

Food was absolutely hideous same thing over the 7 nights, they have an Italian restaurant next door to the buffet hall which you need to book. This was absolutely horrible the food was taken from the main hall portion size was like a Mechlin star restaurant!There are hardly any snacks available during the day, when there is snacks the chips and nuggets are not cooked well at all! No late breakfast just some left over pastry on some days from breakfast. So some days when we had a late night we had nothing to eat till lunchtime. Staff favouritism is at its finest, the bar staff do this the most which was not nice. Asked for an iron on day one kept calling everyday till day 4 we got one. They do not change the bedding the whole time you are there only make the beds. There is no kids club just a small play ground area some nights they will have kids songs on and some dancing for under 3s so was nothing entertaining for my kids. Even to have the kids in the room after the pool closed at 4:30 the wifi was not good at all kept lagging!We were not aware of the water park till the last day we were there another holiday maker told us. Most of the staff do not understand english very little. The bedrooms were fine tidy and clean the bathrooms need a lot of work very dingy and old.

We have stayed in this hotel numerous times this year always a pleasure staff go above and beyond and make us feel welcome

The room did not meet health and safety requirements. There was really bad mould in bathroom. Door handles for bathroom was broken. Out of the entire family ensuite, only one plug socket was working as it should everywhere else were loose hence no wifi due to loose plug socket. There were blood stains on bed sheets, holes in the curtains, disgusting stains on toilet seats and on carpets. Room was filled with mosquitos which we waited from 1500 to Midnight for somebody to fumigate the room. There was an error on booking showing 1 adult less and we were told to pay $70 from check in. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. There were rubbish left everywhere, no heated pools, underpaid staff which didn’t want to help in the evening. Only staff behind reception wore uniform. Very loud music during the day and evening by pool/outside table area until late which is a popular negative review every where. For a huge hotel the amount of food variety in the buffet is appalling and cheap. We explained all of this when checkout the receptionist called the manager to explain and he responded with a laugh and ‘sorry’ that was it.

We liked the room a lot, bathroom with jacuzzi, balcony with beautiful view to the mountains and swimming pool.The area around is nice, looks like Venice - with channels and bridges, pools. Kids were happy for aquapark.The fire show was intersting if it was not so late and loud.

Very loud music untill 23:00. Trying to rest with kids in "family hotel", it was impossible to sleep while there was crazy party in the yard every night right under our balcony.The food in the buffet wasn' t very inspiring, the bread was not always fresh. Some of food was good (mostly vegetables). But coffee/tea/drinks were horrible. No juices at all. I would say we never take all-inclusive hotel again, better little charming B&B or private place.

Location was nice, few minutes ride from SOHO square, 20 minutes ride to old town. There was a beach shuttle every hour, few minutes and you were at the beach resort part for our hotel with bar and towels that were included on our all-inclusive bracelet. Also the waiter at beach bar was amazing, we forgot his name but he lend us masks for snorkelling and always brought us drinks. I also have to compliment HASSAN the waiter at our hotel bar, he was nice from day one even tho he didn’t get a tip at very first day, same goes for AHMED, the pool boy/lifeguard, he was preparing towels every day for us, bringing us pool floaties every day. Also staff on reception was always helpful and kind. Breakfast was the only thing that was keeping us sane, great choices of eggs, toast, waffles and pancakes, cereals and everything else. Pool was clean, also every other facility. Room was cleaned every day by YUSSUF, very kind and always eager to help with everything. There was also waterpark with a lot of slides and pools, really great to just change location a bit.

Firstly the food for lunch and dinner is just not good, every day same choices, restaurant was not really clean at first few days we stayed there, no clean tables, no cutlery on tables, you have to wait for staff to bring it to you so you could eat. Italian restaurant does not deserve name italian because there was nothing even slightly italian there, food mostly the same as in the main restaurant but only served a la carte. Secondly, most staff (waiters) were only friendly after the most of Egyptians and Arabic people left and more other nationalities came and after you gave them a big tip so they would actually do their job. Few of them were not even capable of serving a cocktail since they didn’t even know what a cocktail was. Same goes for animation team, there was a timetable of activities from darts and so on but for first few days the animation team didn’t even come up to you and ask if you would like to join any of activities because they didn’t even practice them. Only aqua gym or aerobics and animation program at night ( which was cool) but other than that, it sucked.
