Residencial Antonio Mocisso Guesthouse

This was an exceptionally clean room and bedding. The staff was very nice. Lighting was good, room as a decent size and it was easy to get into and out of (keys worked well). We were able to easily "checkout" by leaving the key in the door, which was nice. The location, once you learned how to drive up and park wasn't bad, although the first time we went we didn't know and it was up a super steep hill with luggage. It would sure be nice if the correct place to enter was clearly identified as you can park there! I don't even know how to describe it, but if it's super steep, go to the whole other side by the Mercado, Church and square...

The bed felt like a rock, which is common in Portugal but wrenches our American backs. It was two twins, I Love Lucy style. The shower was hot for 30 seconds, only unfortunately. I don't know why. It also leaked out of the shower pan into the rest of the bathroom, this is per my husband as I avoided a shower once I got his experience. I don't know if there was Wifi, FYI. Not mobility friendly, all of Elvas.

Great location, less than a 2 minute walk to the main square on a quiet walking lane. Receptionist, Teresa, is very nice and helpful. My room was very nice, spotlessly clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable. TV with many channels and mini fridge. Great bathroom too. I really enjoyed staying here and highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, very different to park and find the place because GPS doesn't work well. We enjoyed the stay, very clean and facilities were updated.

Unfortunately the bathroom was not as clean as expected. Underneath the toilet seat was very dirty and there were few hairs lying around also in the shower.

Pro’s: great location, rental was very clean, host was super-helpful and accommodating. Space was small but sufficient and beds and pillows were comfortable. Linens and towels were clean and fresh. All in all a great stay and great value for money (its like a hotel room so no frills, just a fridge and an electric kettle, but it is as listed and we expected that. Parking is close (right around the corner, underground and affordable). TV worked and had local channels.

The stairs are steep so not good if you have mobility issues (and big/heavy luggage). Finding the facility was a little complicated and it wasn’t very easy to find (this may be due to the map app we used). The room is VERY compact. A/C worked great!

Very clean and spacious room. We were kindly given a better room for our convenience. Nice amenities, such as air conditioning and fridge in the room. The lady that checked us in was very friendly and helpful and recommended us a great restaurant to try.

The shower in the room was clean but the plug I think was blocked as it filled up. That is a very minor issue though.

Location was great, right near the main plaza. Owner was pleasant and greeted us as soon as we arrived. Loved our stay.

As a party of 5 we got a nice suite with two rooms with direct access to the street. Lady was super nice and met us outside. Stayed for only one night. Location is really central the only problem is that you don't have car access in the narrow roads but car park is less than 100m away. All in all quite a good deal.

The location is ideal! Right at the heart of this amazing and beautiful historic city, 2 min walk away from the Cathedral, Republic Square and 5 min away from the Muslim Castle.The rooms are perfectly clean and OK.

The only thing if anything is that if you are traveling with your own car you will have to leave the car like 3/5 min walking distance away, but it's perfectly acceptable.
