Azores Book Hotel

All of the front desk staff were exceedingly helpful, especially Cristina, who was kind enough to assist with a finicky rental car not once, but twice! - Breakfast had a wide variety of options, including local fare- The pool was a true treat — plenty of comfy lounge chairs and a changing space, which we were able to make use of after checking out - Just a 5 minute walk from two ocean “pools”- Onsite, secure parking- Indoor hot tub (open until 10p)- Beautiful view of Monte Brasil- Well-lit streets after dark made the 15 min walk to/from Angra’s historic district safe and easy

Loved the hotel site, pool, and library/ den. Very nice staff, good breakfast, and very clean. Great location - walking distance to Angra. They are very accommodating! I loved everything!

We booked a suite and loved the spaciousness of the room. The AC worked great, the hotel was very clean, and they offered many amenities. The staff was so helpful and responsive, between answering our questions, booking dinner reservations, and sharing recommendations. Breakfast was delicious, and they were great in working with my food allergies. I also loved the lounge/bookstore area, where you could purchase a glass of local wine and chat in the evenings. The spa was lovely, and the hot tub was great after long days of hiking. We booked a couples massage and had a wonderful experience. The location was perfect for getting into Angra quickly for dinner or for getting out of town for a hike. Free parking on site was also very convenient. When we return to Terceira, we will book this hotel again!

Everything was new and clean.

The access to the parking is a little tricky on the first time, but after you understand it, it's easy.

Clean & new with nice style throughout this historic property. Breakfast is excellent. Bed & bedding excellent. Housekeeping & front staff attentive. The “book” theme & reading area we enjoyed on several evenings. Great work-out area & pool. Appreciated on-site parking.

The price for wine in reading area was ridiculous. Need a handrail by steps going from main building to upper level rooms.

We had to check out too early for the breakfast but we plan to return someday and enjoy it then. We brought friends that were staying in other closeby hotels and they loved it and will stay there in the future.

This is a lovely hotel. Modern yet has a vintage feel in the main building. Spa like facilities . Great breakfast , wonderful staff. Fabulous value. “Run don’t walk” to book this hotel. I will be recommending this to anyone I know who travels to Terciera

This feature created an exclusive, intellectual atmosphere that we’ve never encountered in any other hotel.Another highlight was the breakfast. Each morning, we were treated to a diverse and delicious spread, featuring both local Azorean specialties and international options. The quality and variety were impressive, and it was clear that great care was taken to cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.In summary, Book Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of its unique literary theme, exceptional service, and thoughtful amenities made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Terceira and look forward to returning in the future.

Great atmosphere, lots of books, well maintained, very clean and quiet. Lovely and helpful staff.Amazing breakfast - very tasty with a lot of variety.Had the best relaxing massage and spa experience. Would love to stay again.

Breakfast was great, rooms were always cleaned,the building is very nice.

The front desk employees could be definitely friendlier. During the Christmas week, when there were mostly just two or three rooms occupied, they couldn’t provide us with additional luggage rack. They also don’t know much about what is going on in town and on the island. Also the jacuzzi was functional only 3 days out of our week and the staff did not show big effort to do something with it. But they were nice enough to book a restaurant for us for lunch.

The staff was very friendly, the building it beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, fresh and good quality ingredients. The lady working at the breakfast was very quick to cleanup after everybody and was always refilling everything, always super friendly and welcoming. Receptionist were also very friendly and we enjoyed our stay there.

Our hotel room had some humidity problems, although it was brand new. Paint on the walls was peeling near the windows, although you can see it was really brand new. Every time when we entered the room we could smell the humidity in the air. Also the shower didn't have good drainage system and we literally had flood every day in our bathroom after showring, there was much more water than any towels could hold. So we avaided showering at night, not to have the bathroom flooded until next day housekeeping. The water thing is kind of annoying, other than that I would give them a straight 10 because it really is a beautiful place with very warm and friendly staff.

Amazing realization of the book-loving and librarry concept. Great location and super friendly staff. The hotel is brand new and is going to be even better with the opening of the spa.

The kitchen staff should think carefully of adding more non-pork and vegetarian options to the menu.

The Book Hotel is as relaxing as a 90 minute massage. The staff is friendly and accommodating yet makes you feel like family. The views are breathtaking . You can lay on your bed and be mesmerized by the sea and the mountains. You will not be disappointed!

although clearly shuttle bus was requested in the form at the time of booking the service was not provided and we ended up paying personally for taxi in and out of the hotel.also the hotel must have pointed out that the balcony is a shared one and no privacy expected

Breakfast and location are amazing. The breakfast staff is very attentive - kudos!

I was given a room just behind the reception and I could hear every single conversation happening there, which for me who was working remotely was very upsetting
