The pleasant staff, the location, the view and the GREAT breakfast!

Bathroom fixtures a bit dated (tarnished). Otherwise beautiful.

Close to all amenities, beautiful view of the ocean! Walking distance to everything

Staff were not very approachable, evertime I asked for something they made me feel like I was bothering them.

Location was the best , breakfast was wonderful, the staff very friendly and attentive.....

What a great hotel in the historical part of town which is an UNESCO site. The hotel is just above the best beach in the area. Also so many of the highest reviewed restaurants in the area are just up the hill. It is a very short hill. You can also walk to several of the must-see sites. There is shopping every where around this hotel and the food market for supplies in less than a 10 minute walk. The marina is just across the street from the hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable, not modern, nor fancy. Staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is OK. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes to stay in a historical places.

The property was in a great location right by the marina and the beach. The staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast was excellent.

There was a strong unpleasant odor in the bathroom. But once we put the stoppers in the sink tub and bidet drain, it was fine.

The food was good, but need more variety, and most of the time when we got there the containers were empty, even clean plates was not there anymore.

Location and proximity to town. View from the room was breathtaking. The wonderful staff, always available and helpful. Always smiling?

Unfortunately the room door could not be closed easily and had to slammed.

Great location, nice room, good breakfast

I like the atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. And I like its location, close to a lot of restaurants and its so nice to sit in the sun on one of the seats near the watres edge,

Breakfast was provided daily on an outdoor terrace with a great view of the ocean & surrounding hills.... Beautiful!

Hotel is in an old building & rooms could use some updating but otherwise very comfy.

The staff went above and beyond to help make it a special weekend for me and my daughter, as it was her birthday. They were extremely friendly and helpful, even before we arrived. As for the property, the location is amazing, right above the beach and marina (loved the French doors that opened onto a small balcony), walking distance to everything the city has to offer. The property was very clean, the beds comfortable, and nice amenities in the room (desk, kettle, etc). There are two parking spots right outside the hotel for loading and unloading, and nearby (2 min walk) there is a street along the marina with free parking, so that was never a problem. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast had a nice variety of hot and cold items. The patio dining above the marina and beach was a wonderful way to start the day.

It is a slightly older property, so if you are looking for sleek and modern architecture this is not the place. Personally I like the quaint historical feeling of the building, which made it feel like you are in an older European city (which, of course, it is) - as opposed to those hotels that all feel the same inside and could be anywhere in the world. The TV is a little on the small side, but we were not there to watch TV, so not a problem for us.

The room lacks a bit of Charme

On a beach and nearby sites to visit.

One of our party did not have ac. The hotel said they would not charge us for three days because of this. We have no way to get in touch with you in this regards. That would be $255.

The staff and location were perfect. Bed was comfy and great to have a bath and fridge in the room. Loved opening the doors and hearing the waves. Breakfast was adequate and restaurant servings were generous!

Air conditioning and fridge were a bit noisy.

I liked the fact that the hotel is situated very close to the sea and the bars and restaurants.

Unfortunately the hotel is infested with cockroaches especially in the kitchen and restaurant area, it is very unpleasant to be sitting eating breakfast and see the cockroaches walking from one side to the other on the tables that have the food, and it wasn't just me who noticed this problem, I heard other tourists displeased with this problem.

Perfect location in front of the beach and easy access to visit Angra and Monte Brasil by foot.

The gentlemen at the front desk went above all expectations. He was so kind in securing me a taxi to the airport when I hadn't booked one the day before. He truly saved me my flight. This hotel reminded me of the places we would stay as girls. If you want an authentic experience with a great location, please consider this hotel. Thanks a thousand times.

Hotel is situated in very good location at sea in center. Very nice and friendly ladies in reception and at breakfast. Room was big and with ocean view, room was not very cold as in hotels sometimes. Breakfast was tasty, but no espresso machine. Very good experience, would go again.
