    Pros +

    • The location was exceptional. We had very nice romantic walks around the castle at night and fully enjoyed the great wellness facilities, which were above my expectations (many different steam rooms, all very clean, new-looking and tastefully decorated). Unfortunately, the wellness facilities are only open somewhere between 6pm to 10 pm, which I found an odd choice. The room and bathroom were good also; with every resource you could require. The breakfast was pretty good, considering you can ask them to make you a fresh omelet, but otherwise it’s average, and do yourself a favor and please skip their porridge, as I’m pretty sure that’s what gave me pretty bad food poisoning later on the day in which I had it. Staff was fine and wi-fi stable. It’s an overall recommend.
    • The Spa is great, the room is big and comfortable, the staff very kind and the restaurant is excellent.
    • Fantastic location. Responsive staff - they accommodate our daughter who unexpectedly joined us for free. Tasty breakfast

    Cons -

    • The breakfast is a little bit less than expected
    • The coffee machine they have is too small - we had to wait in line to get our cup of coffee
    • Apparently there are no activities in the city in the winter season.Really sleepy, it would be nice if there was music or a place to sit outside in the hotel complex

    A large and pleasant room

Excellent location in the case territory, free parking. Comfortable, all necessary room facilities in place, good breakfast, spa also satisfied, different kinds of saunas working from 6 PM to 10 PM.

Location can’t get any better, the room was spacious and clean but not very soundproof, the wifi was ok,the room temperature was high since we visited during winter with -8 C

I don’t understand if it’s because we traveled off season (mid January) and the hotel is being run by the bench or these are the all season employees, but they were really slow, indifferent and lazy not to mention that they can’t speak a word of English. I am referring to the reception desk and the hotel’s restaurant. They didn’t know if we had already paid through booking and they didn’t prepare the cot we had requested. Also the mattress and pillows were uncomfortable.

Location is great, right inside the ancient fortress. Idea of historic building is also very nice. Spa complex is a plus! Good breakfast included.

Looks and feels a bit cheaper than it is supposed to be as far as construction quality and interiors.

Staff was inattentive. No efforts to help with luggage A few seemed bored and lazy

Folks ahld know it is a bit of an uphill walk and steps from parking to hotel. Not everyone can handle that with their luggage. Location in fort was lovely

First of all, the staff - specifically the receptionists who were there on both days. Very friendly and customer oriented. Thanks to them. ?And secondly, the location was of course exceptional.

There was noise coming from both cleaning and also from talking from the balconies on the side.

    Great location, spacious room.

    Low level of maintenance.

    5ViacheslavPosted on: 9-28-2024

Location was indeed very comfy and the breakfast is nice

    - Rude reception personnel- the fact that the hotel was 2/3 empty and yet when we arrived at 9pm, the receptionist told us there was no room we booked available. After some convincing, he offered us a deluxe room at the same price, but the room turned out the only one without a balcony in the whole hotel. Yes, it was bigger and had a bath, but I doubt these are a proper trade-off for a lack of balcony. Balcony is the whole point of staying in a nice (supposedly) hotel- electric kettle was broken- mini fridge wasn't cooling anything at all- smart TV wasn't properly working

The location within the Rabati Fortress is exceptional, and it is worth staying here just to wake up within the region's key tourist attraction. There are, of course, some well-documented issues with the staff at this hotel, but if you go in expecting these then I found the rest of the stay to be quite enjoyable. Though I did not use the spa, there were many Russian tourists present who seemed to enjoy it. Breakfast was decent, including some Georgian items like khachapuri.

As noted, even within Georgia the staff have a reputation for not being particularly attentive or interested - when I told my Georgian driver where I was staying he rolled his eyes and said this hotel was well-known for these issues. That said, I personally experienced no a with check-in or anything else,, and the staff even opened the door early morning for me to watch the sunrise from atop one of the fortress towers.

    Whole place smelt of chlorine.

Booking went through bookin.com. We arrived at the hotel late that evening to be told they didn’t have the room for us, nor did they have any other room.they clearly had the booking in their system as they knew my name. No attempt was made to get in touch with us to let us know, or cancel through booking, even though they knew about the problem already. The person at the front desk blamed others and said it wasn’t his mistake. We had to find another hotel at 9pm. Other people had the same problem.

The location is great, basicallly inside the castle. The facilities are great. The team is incredibly supportive and Georgi was an amazing concierge! The best Georgian hospitality!

Location and atmosphere, in old castle.. brick walls...Big rooms, comfortable bed.. good breakfast.

Staff in restaurant in hotel and in the restaurant on opposite side ( with symbol of snail) was very slow. Very good attitude in restaurant on terrace (2nd floor behind SNails)

    Questionable customers policy!

This rating does not refer to the hotel itself, but to the human interaction on the part of the hotel staff!Due to an incorrectly timed booking (my own fault), I asked to be able to stay at the desired time without an additional reservation, as the overnight stay had already been paid for. It was no longer possible for the system to cancel and rebook. This was initially confirmed to me by the hotel staff, then I was suddenly told that the hotel was fully booked, although several comparison portals still showed free rooms. I was then offered a room for at least one of two nights, until suddenly nobody replied anymore.Of course, nobody owes me anything if I accidentally book the wrong date, but then please just communicate this and don't give me a runaround! This is the reason for the bad rating!

Hard to find good guesthouse options but this one stands out in terms of what you get for the price. Clean, comfortabel, kind staf, sometimes a concert in the Castle and off course the use of the wellness facilities

    Breakfast was ok

    Location, value per price.

Some facilities(shower booth...) need to be repaired

    9RenéePosted on: 5-16-2024

Nice experience to stay in a fortress, with very nice (and beautiful) spa facilities open from 6PM to 10PM. We almost had the wellness for ourselves.

    8RebeccaPosted on: 5-14-2024

The location of this hotel is mind blowingly cool! Right in the castle and the views from the rooms into the courtyard are fantastic. The town is decent too. It's definitely worth paying to see the other half of the castle.

The breakfast was on the bland side (and didn't start until 9.00am) and the mattresses were hard. Also the spa facilities were only open from 6-10pm.
