The Colourful Mansion Hotel

Spatious, clean, airy room, shaded balcony, mosquito net on the door and window, we served breakfast in the morning in the inner courtyard, with grapes from the garden. Close to the pedestrian street that leads to restaurants in the port. We thank the host for the prompt answers and gentlemanly kindness.

Very stylish, fresh and authentic atmosphere and wonderful hosts. The rooms are cleaned every day and provide enough comfort in terms of furniture and layout. There were free to use beach umbrellas, books and other features. The house has strict rules, which could be very practical and useful for some of the guests, including us. And last, but not least, having coffee in the garden was a real pleasure :)

I guess I would have enjoyed the room much better if our visit wasn't midst a heat wave. I'd definitely recommend the hotel to friends and visit it again, but I will never want to take the same room (the one on the last floor) during the hot months. To the hosts: first of all thank you for the great hospitality, and second: I'd like to recommend making an upgrade of the room with some proper air conditioners and a new mattress for the small bed. We couldn't sleep well, because the AC was blowing directly into one of the beds (without a properly working sleep mode), and even though it was ON for some good amount of time, nearly none of the cold air was reaching the smaller bed in the other section of the room. When we switched it off, it would take only 30 minutes for the room to become like an oven. The heat was so intense, that I could sleep only a few hours per night.

The hotel is on the main road through the town. Despite that it was very quiet. The bedroom was large with big beds. We had the optional breakfasts which were tasty and substantial. It is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel to the street which takes you down to the harbour and has a lot of restaurants and cafes (although many were closed out of season). The owners of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a strict music policy ;-)

Everything was fine

Nice hotel, with a real effort on decoration as each room is a specific color, with matchingobjects. The owners are very nice as well.Important to note: this has to be one of the cleanesthotel I’ve ever been in

As always, we had a great time in Sharenata kushta - we loved the room, breakfast, parking spot, the kindness and helpfulness of the personnel and the attention to every small detail.

Unique style, great location and very friendly hosts

Very nice colourful Hotel. Large rooms with big balcony with sea view. Very clean. Great shower. Very friendly and helpful owners. Good breakfast. Great location very near to the center and the beach but sufficiently far to be very quite. Thank you!

The best part was cleanliness. I have visited around 20 or 30 hotels and motels during the last 10 years, and I have never seen so clean rooms. Even 5 star hotels sometimes have hair below the mattress, but here - not even a single grain of sand.The owners welcomed me when I arrived with coffee and small talk about the local tourist attractions. They shared Ahtopol's history and there was a lot of truth in their words. There are a lot of books in the hotel's lobby and you can read any of those for free (just keep in mind, they are in Bulgarian). The hotel is a lot of fun if you are enthusiastic about cool architecture, I advice every traveler that goes to Ahtopol, to select the Colourful mansion hotel as their "base" so to speak.

There were no downsides. The only thing that could've been better, was if the hotel was closer to the beach. This is unfortunate something out of the owner's control.

Amazing, calm and super Friendly host. Able to speak German, English, Bulgarian and Russian. Gave us really good tips for things to visit and restaurant. Absolutely cool hotel with a nice view. Breakfast is homemade with lots of love. As a home base for the South Coast line, you cannot go wrong! Free parking!

Extremely nice and quiet place. The hosts are great people and infinitely kind and responsive. We would definitely stay there when we visit Ahtopol again. The rooms are large, have air conditioning, cable and everything you need. There is a car park opposite the hotel, where you can always find a free space. We really liked it, we recommend with 2 hands!

There is nothing that we didn't like

It was clean, the air conditioner was working, the bathroom was clean. The hosts were a really nice couple who gave us plenty of advises where to eat and where to go. If you a Liverpool fan, this is your place :) If you are a Chelsea fan, ask for a blue room :D

We liked very much the service. Clean, comfortable, spacious room. We received the best value for money. We appreciated very much the hotel policy for not allowing loud music (folk) and smoking in the rooms.
