Secret Garden Resort Panglao Island

We had a good time. The whole place was new and the facilities were nice. They have a very nice pool and the rooms were nice given the outdoor setting. Breakfast was nice. We used the restaurant a few times and was good offering different western and local dishes. The staff was extremely helpful arranging transportation to different places. There hotel is about 20 minutes away from Alona beach which is the lively part of the Island so you need to take a $6-7 USD tuk tuk. It is safe and easy to get back to the hotel even at night.

The internet was very bad - wifi was on and off all the time. We mentioned it to the hotel and they said they were aware and were addressing the issue with management. Not an issue specific to the hotel, but there is a custom in the island to burn the garbage and there was constant smoke and smell.

We had a great stay here! The place is clean, safe, and very private. The pool is awesome — super clean and perfect for relaxing. The staff were really nice and always helped us quickly with anything we needed. The restaurant has tasty food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The location is also super convenient — you can easily get anywhere on the island by car or scooter. And it’s nice and quiet in the evenings, which we loved!

The staff is awesome with great intentions to serve and make your stay as pleasant as possible but practically, it was a weird experience and very unprofessional. The food is NOT good and we had to repeat our requests as things we asked just didn’t happen.

I had a wonderful stay at Secret Garden. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The accommodations were great — my room was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The grounds were peaceful and well-kept, perfect for relaxing.What really stood out was the outstanding food — every meal was flavorful and fresh. For everything it offers, Secret Garden is truly a great value for your money. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

All the staff(s) are very accommodating and very friendly. They are very quick to respond to our needs during our stay. Very homey and quiet place unlike other resorts. Perfect place to relax with the family. Worth the value and worth coming back. Thanks to all the staff.

Staff were friendly and pleasent, breakfast was perfect, nice ambience at the resort, near by the best beaches of Bohol, transportation available on request made life so easy.

Restaurant food needs to be improved, adding local Filipino cuisine and other healthy western starters and main courses will enhance the menu.

"Secret Garden" is an apt title. Little quiet secluded oasis. If you want piece & quiet with a great pool, this is the place for you.Nice balcony view from room.Staff are really friendly, chatty & helpful Just a lovely ambience to chill & relax.

The bathroom floor was nicely tiled. I just don't understand why the rest of the room wasn't tiled in a similar way ? Would really have brought the room to that top standard

The food wasn’t great, but we weren’t there for the food

The staff was extremely friendly and always willing to help – we felt well taken care of throughout our stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and well-maintained.The bathroom, however, was rather small and simple compared to the rest of the room, though this wasn’t a major issue.What did bother us was the presence of a cat that seemed to belong to the resort, or at least was regularly on the premises. The cat appeared quite thin and was constantly wandering around us during meals, even attempting to jump onto the table several times. This became quite annoying.

Very comfy beds and large rooms. the food they offer isn’t very great. The pool wasn’t levelled so couldn’t really use it.The staff were really nice. Also keep in mind that the location is remote

Secret Garden was a very beautiful resort. We booked a 2-bedroom villa with private pool. The staff was really kind and helpful. the WI-FI was a little shaky but they are working on improving it.

The only minor nit pick would be that the private pool could you use a daily clean up. Other than that, all good.

Beautiful resort, with lovely architecture and a great feel to it. Very modern & clean facilities and room, nice hot shower. Good air-conditioning.

Various minor practical items that seemed to add up. Had to ask for room towels. Had to complain a few times about the very poor wifi and TV not working before they changed our room. Lots of very pleasant staff, but nobody took responsibility for fixing problems. Lovely swimming pool out of action due to a leak, unfortunately. Hard mattress.

Amazing location—peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of Alona Beach. The staff is exceptional—always welcoming, accommodating, and full of smiles. Their hospitality truly made our stay special. I’ll definitely recommend this place to friends visiting Panglao.

The location was perfect for my friend and I because we wanted some peace, and quiet. Taxis were easily bookable either via Grab or from the hotel and the hotel was down a small road. We had a ground-floor room by the pool, which was lovely and clean, great beds (a double and a single) nice bathroom, storage and tea /coffee and water.The pool area is stunning, with clean water and well looked after. Breakfast and other meals were taken by the pool and this was also a perfect working space for out of the sun.

This resort is stunning! Everything was perfect, from the room and especially the staff! Very kind and helpful! Josh is the best! He satisfied all of our requests! Secret garden resort is a very peaceful place and I really recommend!

“Unfortunately, the breakfast was very disappointing. There was not a good selection of food, and the staff often made mistakes with orders. In fact, the breakfast was so unsatisfactory that we chose to eat in the city every morning, even though it was included in the price. In town, we found delicious homemade smoothie bowls with fresh fruit—something made with traditional ingredients and much more enjoyable. Additionally, the rest of the restaurant’s offerings were not very tasty. This is an area where the hotel could improve. With some enhancements to the food quality and service, this hotel would truly deserve a perfect 10.
