Clean, spacious room villas, vey friendly and accommodating staff, great restaurant and spa. The bamboo walk is amazing to watch sunsets. It has a bar,too.

Location- it was away from all the tourists and loud music in Alona. Pool was good, the staff was accommodating and were willing to go above and beyond. Excellent Filipino breakfast which is the best dish on the menu. Room was large enough, comfortable and had everything you need—- including the rubber slippers. Access to Oceanica and South Farm also a big plus. Bamboo bridge and The Nest is a Big attraction as well as you appreaciate the resorts effort to Go green.

The main attraction is the bamboo bridge at sunset. You have to be there early so you could have a good seat. It can get kind of crowded. The food is good- however kind of pricy. Also menu could use some staples- like burgers. Pancakes can just be simple pancakes without a mango-alugbati syrup which is kind of fancy for breakfast.

The Villas are beautiful and the bamboo walk is quite a treat. The pool was fantastic and open as late as 10pm. Breakfast was delicious and conveniently served at the Villas.

It doesn't have access to the Beach and many of the advantages you get from staying at North Zen, such as beach access and structure, tennis court, Gym, free paddle and kayak are actually provided in their partner resort Oceanic, 20 minutes away. They could, at least, provide the shuttle to get to Oceanica. Regarding the room, I've booked a 2 bedroom villa with 4 beds and sofa bed, but the sofa bed was actually just a sofa and I ended up paying 200usd more for an extra bed.

We had the private pool villa and it was fantastic. Lots of privacy and a great room.

The place is quite far from restaurants and beaches, but it’s an easy tuk tuk ride.

Loved our stay at North Zen, the staff were friendly & helpful. The resort is great, very well maintained pool area and good sized rooms. A highlight for me was the breakfast served to the room (make sure you order the night before). The mangrove walk & sunsets there are stunning.

Some small detractors for me at the mangrove bar were the tour groups which made it feel quite overcrowded, and the caged birds which felt cruel and unnecessary.

Location was nice. Great scenes. The service was great. Staff was very accommodating and quite quick to respond.

It gets very busy - the pool and bamboo walk because I believe it’s open to the public. It really ruins the ‘zen’ element of the resort. I hope they will decide to make this area exclusive to guests of the resort group.

Room was well maintained, room had good view, staff very friendly! Food quality is good.

North Zen is a great villa to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of Panglao. The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating, and the villa was spacious and comfortable!

We like all the details about the property. It is nicely designed, very clean and well taking care of the people. We had access to their sister hotel and use the beach. The stuff was amazing, and very helpful.

The prices were above the average in Philippines.

Super good food and ample servings. Quick service. Polite and courteous staff.

Staff and the quality of the room. It is nice that you have free access to the 5-star resort at the beach.

Bamboo walk was our favourite thing about this place. Breakfast was delicious, but our baby wasn’t given an allowance, which was a little annoying. The pool was lovely and there were plenty of places to relax and chill out.

It’s overpriced, from the rate of the hotel to the food at the restaurant to laundry services. I understand tourism is their business, but by setting the prices that high, they end up losing money because guests choose to eat elsewhere.Finally, they do allow walk-ins for the sunset on the pier which makes it a lot less appealing for yhe guests who paid the premium price to enjoy the “zen” environment.We ended up leaving every evening to avoid the crowds.

The place was great but they should’ve limit walk inn guests so the place would have been more relaxing.

It was over crowded by the walk inn guests, especially during the afternoon, it would have been more relaxing if they limit guests who are not staying at the resort. The stay was great but not worth the price of the resort. They also shoud have playgrounds and activities for small children so that they will not be bored easily.

Absolutely liked everything about this hotel. From delicious dining options to cozy rooms with stunning views, everything exceeded our expectations

the glass board on the bathtub in our room fail to isolate water , make the bathroom floor always wet.

Big and comfortable rooms. Nice and helpful staff and possibility to have meals in the room. Breakfast was very good and they prepare you early packed breakfasts if you go on early morning tours. You can go spend the day at their sister resort in the other part of the island which was great.

The photos are misleading as it looks as if the property is a beach front like property and much more in natural style. The resort itself (not counting the sunset walk) is in a more traditional style and also focused on families with young children. Restaurant area is not pleasant to be at as it looks like a fast food restaurant area, it was great to have the possibility to do room service instead. Location is far from main beaches in Panglao and there is no transfer service provided.

Rooms were very clean and confortable. Swimming pool also really nice. But for the price of North Zen Villas, you will easilly find other hotel on Bohol with beautiful beach.

We were very dissapointed that although we paid for 2 adults and 1 child via booking.com, and although we additionally confirmed this with booking stuff that the breakfast is included for all of us, the hotel reception charged us additionally for third breakfast (for the third person - i.e. child) - they told us that this is their practice and breakfast for the child is not included (although there was no such information when we booked the room).What is more, we had to choose breakfast menu one day in advance which is rather strange, but I can understand it and let’s say it is acceptable - but I could not understand why we need to declare one day in advance the excact time when on the next day we will show up to eat beakfast. Also, although I agreed at the reception desk that for the first brakfast I will call the restaurant in the morning 20 minutes before we show up, someone from the stuff (from reception desk or from the restaurant) called us at 6:40 am in the morning on Sunday waking us up to ask when we will show up at breakfast..Not to mention, that the breakfast itself wasn’t to original - I would rather say it was quite poor as compared to the other hotels which we visited on Bohol or Siqujor Islands.Anyway, the hotel was nice and the stuff was very friedly (but maybe not too proffessional), so I didn’t want to rate them lower.
