La Laanta Hideaway Resort

The food was great. It is literally on the beach, and the amenities are wonderful. I loved the dvd and book rental libraries where you could just pick items to read/watch in your room. I would love to stay there again.

It is very far to travel to Ko Lanta, but once you're there it is wonderful.

Property was just what we were looking for! It’s secluded and peaceful, the food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was very good and reasonably priced, they don’t ding you for staying at the resort for convenience. Resort is about 12minute drive back to the main area so certainly recommend a car/bike rental if you’re going to be coming/going as taxis would be pricey. The pool was nice and cool even in the high heat of the day. They have a hut on the beach with two ladies for massage which is a great touch. The beach has some rocks but just have to walk a few metres to the left and it’s nice and sandy. There are wild monkeys on the property which was special to see, they weren’t a nuisance. The villas near the pool were clean, beautiful, great view and the beds were comfortable, AC worked great too. Highly recommend and I’d certainly come back!

Our room was perfect with every amenity we could ask for. The beach view was not a joke! We were meters from the ocean on a beautiful, secluded beach. The staff were lovely and very accommodating.

tranquility of the place away from crowds. Lovely & clean beach. Pool facing sea. Landscaping. lots of sunbeds. swings & hammock to chill. Local dishes were authentic & flavorful. Good Breakfast spread. Chalet near to pool & beach. Friendly staff and owner/host. Appreciate the free ride to the pickup point for our transfer out of Koh Lanta.

low water pressure makes it hard to shower well. The monkeys are quite annoying and worrisome. One dashed towards me when it saw I was holding a banana. I had to hide my snacks while eating at the porch as it was looking for any sign of food.

Beautiful place to stay, lovely pool, lots of places to get shade, friendly staff, nice breakfast.

Was a bit far from other things on the island but you can rent scooters and their taxi service is affordable and convenient.

cant see anything really, maybe the amount of rubbish on the beach, but this comes from the sea, sadly. however they could organize a team who weekly removes the whole garbage. because there is literally A LOT of it....

A very special place, inside the jungle on the beach. One of the best beaches in Ko Lanta. Restaurant was really tasty (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Beach was nice and had minimal trash compared to other beaches on Koh lanta. Location and facilities “tick all the boxes” (pool, bar, beach, etc.) but is not executed or maintained AT ALL. Really has a lot of potential, but is in a very poor state which takes away from the experience. Very rustic vibe bordering on run-down.

Needs serious maintenance on nearly everything - roof leaked, toilet leaked, shower smelled, pool deck broken, plants overgrown, flies at breakfast, low quality breakfast, staff very distant / unfriendly, ROOM NOT (properly) CLEAN - hair on floor, debris on counters, dirt and debris on floor. Many many many bugs and tiny ants in room. Flies bother you during your entire breakfast. Extremely overpriced for the condition of everything. Will never stay again - many better options on the island.

Extraordinary location / beach area; wonderful and relaxing views. Perfect for getting away from crowds.

Sadly, the staff; Bar area personnel: 90 % of the time on their phone and relaxing on their own time like no one was there. Disregarding of their duties. Extraordinary exceptional; Tik the Bar / restaurant manager. He made the whole experience memorable. Thank you everyone. Will be coming back next year. Hopefully next year things will be a bit different. ( service staff )

The room was very big and it’s good if you have a car

We had bags in our home even after they sprayed a bag spray we still found the bag on the last night. We found a caterpillar. I included a picture of the bug and the closest store is 20 minutes away so it’s really in the jungle. if you want to go to the town, it is more expensive.

The staff were very friendly. The room was very clean. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful.

Some of the paving was a little wobbly and I fell.

Pool area, view and restaurant was great, proximity to national park.Regardless of room issues, staff were super nice and really tried to help

Bugs in room, toilet needed repair twice, no pickup from port .

The place is located in a beautiful beach, with preserved nature. The hotel restaurant is also good, and Tik ( the guy who work there) was really cool

The property is in poor condition. My impression is that the staffs rely in the beautiful nature around and don’t really take care of the place. Our bathroom was dirty and some common areas too. Also restaurant was good but prices were too expensive. Location is also completely far from everything

Fantastic Stay! Especially if you love escaping the tourists. This is an ideal location with a fantastic beach and great facilities. Staff were great and really friendly. Restaurant was great! Will be back!

Great place to escape (very isolated and middle of nowhere which is what we wanted!). Would recommend booking the pick up / return taxi to the pier via the hotel as they’re great and grab didn’t seem to be a thing there. Main pro of the property is that the food was amazing (which is a huge factor as there is nothing else particularly around) and the beach was super lovely and quiet. Downside of the property is that it is quite tired (doesn’t look as nice as the pics!) and it wasn’t super clean (e.g. stained sheets and the little shallow pool was green). The main pool was perfect and looked after well so it didn’t particularly matter to us, but I imagine would be annoying if you had kids. Wildlife there was also very cool! Monkeys everywhere, friendly dogs who seem to live at or near the hotel and cows roaming free too… quite an experience!

Overall vibe was truly idyllic. Hard to explain but priceless. We will never forget.Beach was superb - few people, wide expanse of white sand and turquoise water, marine life, coral, perfect for relaxing or swimming.Restaurant and bar were fantastic.Staff were consistently excellent.Loved that they rented scooters.No disruptive noise of any kind, any time of day or night. Gentle waves and twinkling lights.Good breakfast.

Water pressure was poor in our cabin - minor but surprising given the price.Location is far from everything - be sure you’re comfortable with that. Nothing walkable from resort, 5 minute scooter to closest restaurant and tiny minimart. 25 minutes to nearest interesting shops. Taxis take a few minutes to arrive. It doesn’t look that far out on the map, but the road is hilly and winding. If you mostly want to lounge and sunbathe and read and swim though, it’s absolutely perfect.
