Hotel and Beach Bungalow at Lanta Resort

The room was in easy walking distance to the beach, beachfront bar, and breakfast. We were able to walk to an adjacent properties for excellent fish and Indian food.

Understanding the layout of the property was tough. Would have been nice to have a simple map showing walking paths to pool and lobby. The pool had features such as built-in Spa seats and fountains which were not operational.

Nice place to stay for relaxing holiday. Little bit dated , but location is perfect. Staff is friendly and small problems were solved fast after request.

The staff at the resort were so kind and helpful when things needed to be resolved. The staff were excellent. The room was spacious and had everything you needed. Beds were comfortable rain shower was lovely! The cleaning was excellent. The breakfast was excellent, there was lots to choose from. There was also plenty of food at the breakfast buffet including made to order egg options. The bar at the beach was very good, consistent excellent cocktails during happy hour and a beautiful evening eating area on the beach for sunset. The lounge chairs were kept in great shape and cleaned regularly and the beach was spotless. We loved our stay! We will be back! ❤️

There was nothing I would complain about at all! But would give a few suggestions. It would be good to have a feet washing area by the entrance stairs from the beach. Even if it was a large pot with a ladle like on the decks of the bungalows. Have a few more little tables between the deck chairs at the beach side. Also have a few more deck chairs by the pool with umbrellas for shade. It is very hot and there is nothing for shade at the pool.

The property is still very nice, but it is a little worn. You can tell that it was a amazing property that it was built still, I would be be happy to rent it again

The bungalow was extremely spacious and very clean. Being 20 steps off the beach was amazing. There was plenty non sleazy bars and restaurants on the beach, 1 with live guitar duo. Great to watch sunsets. Great coffee shop nearby. We would return for the room and location and eat every meal elsewhere.

We tried breakfast 1 morning; very ordinary. We opted for coffee elsewhere as they only had filter coffee although we could see an expensive machine not in use. The restaurant staff appeared very uninterested in business or customers. The resort appears to have been closed for an extended period of time but are gradually refurbishing in stages. Hopefully the restaurant will get some attention soon.

The accomodation is right on the beach, which is a luxury! The island has some beautiful beaches! The resort is a huge park and it seemed mostly groups of elder or couples with babies. Personally we prefer more local family accommodations and connection to local culture. This was definitely missing here. Perhaps it is the same across the island though. After check in there was a water leak in our bathroom. We had to ask to change bungalows and were a bit surprised this was not offered to us immediately as the bathroom was flooded with smelly water. At least once we asked, we could immediately change to another bungalow.

The staff were friendly and location to beach was good

There were insects in the room and fridge, the a/c didn’t work properly. distance from reception at night which was a 10/15 minute walk as shuttle finishes at 9pm. Breakfast the fruit had insects around them so I would advise putting a net around it considering it’s an outdoor restaurant. There were only a couple of trees to block sun at the beach for the chairs I’d recommend getting umbrellas. The ‘pool’ is a good 15 minute walk from the bungalows. Property online looks a 4 star but definitely not one now, very disappointing when there looks mostly run down which is quite sad.

Beautiful Long Beach.

Resort was in disarray. Most of it was closed. Pools were green, and water features turned off. Villa I had continually smelled like sewer gas. Breakfast didn't have many choices and you really didn't want to have dinner there. Plenty of options for food down the beach.

The rooms were spacious and well air conditioned. Lots of lights with a nice ambiance. The bathroom was big and the small bath was an added bonus. The staff though are the real gems at this place. So helpful. My friend locked himself out of his room. Within 20 minutes the problem was resolved without us having to move at all. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Location is very close to the beach, with decent food options available. The price you pay for what you get is incredible. Beds are comfortable. Bottles of quality water are available as well. The room also has hair dryer, robe, slippers etc.

The properties exterior is looking a bit tired, however this is a small thing. Could do with some tea bags in the room.

The bungalow was really nice and we had the ocean view, so it was great having the beach right outside. The room was nice. Breakfast has all the necessary food and nothing over the top. The staff was good and helpful. They offered support whenever we needed which was appreciated.

The property could have been managed a bit better. It was quite outdated. We had a bungalow with a Jacuzzi that was not cleaned, and it seemed like it had not been cleaned for quite some time. The shuttle to take you from the reception to the room was great only unfortunate that it worked from 7 AM to 9 PM meaning if you were outside the hotel past 9 PM you would have to sort your way to the rooms, also bear in mind that there was quite a distance from the reception to the bungalows. If you plan on going to a resort and just staying at the resort by the beach, then this place is perfect for you but if you plan on roaming around the main roads and finding activities outside the hotel, then I would suggest finding a hotel where it is easy to get out of Since this resort is big and walking out if it takes time.

Nothing. I liked everything

The room was comfortable.

We did not feel welcomed on arrival - first impressions were not good e.g. ornamental pool at reception was empty - and we did not get a welcome drink which we had come to expect at all other hotels. We asked to see the room and this was not received well. However, we persisted and on seeing it decided the position was not what we wanted. We were offered a room closer to the beach for which we had to pay extra. The area of the property was very large and required a shuttle bus to get from room to front desk. One pool was closed (under construction?) another was very far from the room and looked poorly maintained if, in fact, it was open, which seemed doubtful. The whole area appeared abandoned with whole blocks of rooms unoccupied and empty. It lacked any atmosphere and staff were not particularly solicitous. We read reviews and could not believe that people had stayed at the same place (or must have had very low expectations). Overall it was a depressing place and we cut short our stay by three days losing a substantial part of our payment.

We loved the location. Being able to walk right out to beach was awesome. The property was nice and quiet.

The pillows were pretty hard. They were kind enough to bring us a couple of “softer” pillows but they weren’t very nice. Small issue but a comfortable pillow is important. The bed was very comfortable.

Soo beautiful and the beach was amazing! Big room with nice air conditioning and cold fridge. Beautiful scenery and okay breakfest. Staff very nice and helpful - just beautiful place overall!

There was some complication in the bathroom with the sink but nothing that can’t be fixed! Did not bother us at all :))

Rooms were excellent, large and comfortable and very clean - good sized bathroom with excellent shower facilities. Breakfast was fine, not a huge selection but enough to find something to set you up for the day. Staff friendly and helpful. Property was right on the beach.

Whilst we were in the bungalows near the beach which were excellent the top end of the resort (premises) looked a little like it was closed down.

The location is perfect. The beach it’s located on has the most activity out of the beaches on Ko Lanta but the property is located at the very end of the beach where there are fewer people, so it was a nice spot to relax and easy to walk down the beach where there are more bars and restaurants. A lot of the better restaurants on the island and bars and businesses like spas are very close to the resort as well.Some reviews mentioned there was no pool but there was one open when we were there.I saw some reviews mention the staff didn’t speak English well but that wasn’t the case when we were there. The staff we interacted with spoke English well and were very friendly.Overall we were very happy with the resort. It was great value for the price

It wasn’t a big issue but the property is a bit odd. It used to be a much bigger resort and a lot of buildings are sitting empty and they seem to be renovating things maybe. There wasn’t noise though and it’s probably why it’s fairly cheap. The bungalows are a bit of a walk from the front desk and main road. We rented a motorbike so this was no problem for us and I appreciated it because it was quiet there. It could be a bit annoying if you don’t have a motorbike but there was a shuttle to take you from the bungalows to the front of the resort. At the beach there weren’t umbrellas and there’s a limited amount of area with shade. Adding some umbrellas would be nice, and some more beach lounge chairs as well because some times we went it was hard to get one as most were being used.
